This place doesn't deserve even a three star. The staff openly haraass people with mental and physical disabilities. They also encourage the staff and the people who shop there to participate in gender discrimination and the race of someone skin. No wonder breathitt has nothing but older white clan people, Biblethumper, etc. Also this place sells and sold meat when and while their septic system was backing up into the meat cutting area getting on the equipment and food. This place needs shut down. The fact the there's a surprising amount of people saying it's clean? They are lying to make the store look good. Probably even employees there. This stores never been clean and the guy who cuts meat beats the weaker female employees. He likes bulling others to make himself feel better. A man that thinks he's a big shot when he don't make jack at a out of the way save a lot in a dying town isn't needed in any store selling food. He even tries making people feel bad because they left dead end breathitt for a better life. Look like FEMA has given everyone plenty money to build fancy house after the flood. The stores still have black mold in the entire city if jackson. You want to eat death go there and you'll get it.

Love the cleanliness of this particular store. The staff are all great, but the meat is definitely something we prefer not to buy. It doesn't last, is sometimes not fresh at all! We buy all of the basics here and go elsewhere for our meat.

Save a lot is alright. Sometimes have good pop sells..A lot of other places beats their meat prices. Like take super Walmart, they got the best deals on meat. Which it's understandable, when you can only get to one place.

Some good sales. Nice staff. They know where what you need is at. They don't carry all your name brand items but also you don't have to pay that price for them. Overall satisfied with my experience

Went shopping at 7:00 pm. Almost got ran over by stockers 2 times that was filling the Isles with pellets getting read to stock for next day. Gave up shipping and left. Don't go after 7:00. I went to campton Save A Lot to finish shopping.

This is where I do the bulk of my grocery shopping because I'm in Jackson a couple times a week at least. That being said, I prefer the Save-a-Lot in Beattyville. Here's the jist of why I gave my trip 3 stars:I understand supplies being low for Thanksgiving, but there was no "Turkey" flavored stuffing (yet a TON of "chicken" flavored was available), no jars of turkey gravy and no turkey breasts. I'm cooking for 2 so getting a 20 lb whole turkey is not an option. I was also disappointed that there were no spiral cut hams which is my back up plan if no turkey breast can be found. Hoped to get all my holiday shopping done yesterday but now I have no choice but to make a special trip to Beattyville. Store was clean and well stocked with many other items and lines move super fast. Cheaper prices on most things fresh and frozen which makes Jackson Save-a-Lot my preferred store in Jackson.

This save a lot seem to have about anything you need to cook a good family meal, and the worker's are great about helping you with finding anything you might need to pick up, or questions you might have, it's one of the better save a lots in the state of KY.

Store is ok, it is pretty cramped, and isn't always the cleanest. Always make sure to check the dates on items. The meat department isn't the best quality, meats are definitely sketchy at times.

I stopped here when going back home for christmas and i didnt plan on stopping here but i got a call from home saying they need pickles to prepare for there Christmas dinner so instead of going back across town to walmart or IGA i decided to stop by Save A Lot because i was on that end of town. Wow i was shocked when i went into this Save A Lot store wow.There produce looked amazing and was nice and neat and the open coolers looked amazing they were also nice and neat and i started looking at the produce and cooler items to see if what i was seeing exactly what i was seeing.I shop at meijers and kroger in Richmond and let me tell you them two stores were not even close to being as nice as the produce and open coolers at Save A Lot in Jackson Ky.It wasnt just the produce and coolers it was everything on there shelves they were nice and neat and evrything was stocked. I was really amazed at how Sav A Lot has changed since i lived there in Jackson. I also talked to a young gentleman there that was very helpful he said his name was Keith, great nice guy.I really liked stopping for pickles at this Ssve A Lot location. If and when im back in Jackson and need any cooking items or any food i will be stopping by Save A Lot in Jackson.I was very well PLEASED by this store and i will spread the word of how great this store is.Keep up the great work Save A Lot because what you all do does make a difference for me and the community in Jackson.Thank you.
