The store was organized pretty good. There were a few boxes of merchandise out on the floor that needed put away, but all in all, the store was in good shape.They had what I went in for. The reason for only 3 stars is because of the checkout clerk. I was checking out and she was talking to another person, ignoring me. Once I finished paying, I asked about a bathroom. She didn't even look up. She just said no bathroom. I said, "Is there any bathroons close by, she just looked at me and said, "I don't know. There's a Marathon right there in their parking lot. I know she knew that and could have suggested that. She obviously wasnt interested in providing any type of customer service.I don't know how this type gets hired in this kind of business where you wait on customers all day or how they keep their jobs.

I love my dollar stores in Georgetown ky...The ladies are always so helpful & so polite...They always have a smile for u...& the stores are clean...

The cashiers are helpful, that is the only plus. The store as a whole is disorganized and always out of stock. Added, If you have a problem, corporate doesn't respond. Dollar general doesn't care about their customers or their employees, which is a shame because I love the store.

Honestly it’s not bad. One thing I can say the staff is constantly making sure the aisles are clear so that you don’t have to stumble around like other stores. They are constantly busy yet when you need them they are always happy to assist. Some of the staff should probably make sure that when they are down talking another staff that customers aren’t in ear shot or in front of them. That wasn’t professional

Saturday 7/10. The store was very busy. I of course had a hand full of coupons as well as $5 coupons. Christy was patient, very efficient and overall it was a good trip. Cashier's and their courtesy can be there difference between a good trip & a bad one. Thank you Christy for making it a good trip. Hats off to you for doing such a good job. Wish there were more cashier's there like you

It's very close in there. Small isles. I went to pick up plastic storage containers. Wanted 4 but of the 7 that were there only 2 had both closure handles. I told the clerk they needed to order more complete ones because of missing closures. But I could tell she was not going to pass it along.

Horrible. Rude & unprofessional GM. I'm aware this is Dollar General and not a Palm Beach 5 star resort...but WOW!! I had 3 clearance items (cookware sets) which were deeply discounted. ( I used the app to scan & price check before putting in my cart.) Before I even got to checkout line GM saw them and told me they were not on clearance, they were $15 each. Said " no problem, I still want them". Made my way to cashier and GM inserted herself at register in front of cashier and "pretended" that they were not ringing up and said I couldn't buy them. Literally took them and put them on floor behind counter. Would give negative stars if I could.

Don’t buy Fortnite v bucks cards from this store. The money doesn’t go on the cards and when I tried to get a refund was told I couldn’t because Fortnite has the money and DG doesn’t get any money for selling them. Be responsible and take accountability for the products you sell. Will be contacting corporate!I want to update this review as I got a resolution to my issue. The manager, Barb called me Sunday 3/6/22 and apologized for the problem we had with the cards, she was very kind, professional and accommodating with offering a full refund and I went and picked that up today. I’m very pleased that I got this taken care of since my 12 year old payed for the cards w his money.

It's basically the same as other dollar stores I've been in. Good parking lot, shopping carts, lotsa stuff to choose from. There's generally a sale going on. The employees have always been nice to me. Always willing to help if needed.Like all dollar stores, they can save you money.(Not much more I can say right now, this review will be up-dated soon with more info.) Please like and share.scott-

I know there is a pandemic but I went in shopping and it hit me that I had to use the restroom. I found the restroom and it said ask cashier for key, I did, she said im sorry we cant let anyone in...I literally cried... I got to the register and told the lady they need to put a sign up not trying to complain! Thank you so much to that woman who let me go! Good people still out there! Wish I would've gotten her name.

The place is always a mess, never enough registers open, so you gave to wait 10 minutes to be checked out by a cashier who hates her life and yours. The only polite employees are the guys who run the front-end occasionally.I dread having to visit this location and only do so if family dollar (across the street) doesn't have what I need.The 2nd star is because I often find what I need there after making it through the mess.

My experience is usually pleasent but on April 28 the it was not so great. I stood at register and waited about 35 or 40 minutes to get the clerk to learn how to figure out how to use the register . I paid with debit card and she was so confused. It was very activating for me . And then she tried to make out like I was at fault . I won't be going back they lost my business.I spent a lot of money at the Georgetown store but they lost my business. Management needs to hire people that know how to treat customers with respect.# very annoyed.

Dollar General is an easy inexpensive place to shop. We went to buy Valentine's cards and candy with our granddaughters. Perfectly placed as we walked into the store! Got what we needed for a good price and didn't need to walk a half mile from the parking lot!

I went on Saturday 6-23-18. I was needing 4 bags of powered sugar. I saw two bags on the shelf. I asked an associate if they had any more bags in the back. She said " I don"t know" and walked away. Very rude and unpleasant customer service. I will not be back.

I love all the things they have, the reason I rate 2 stars is because every time you go in there is a line all the way to the baby stuff and other staff mostly managers do not help they stand around telling them fleas what to do or they run to the back I understand managers have an important job to do what they should also help the customers coming in

But thats for almost every store and every small and large buisness in georgetown. all the shelves are half empty in every store. but at nice location. thats why i give 3 stars. thank you

I love Dollar General. I just wish their corporate would get a clue and staff their stores. If one person is all that is working and all they can do is run the register because of constant customer flow, then the store stays a mess and is not stocked.

My wife just went here to buy a 3 dollar spade shovel was overcharged 24.65. The cashier was new and didn't no how to fix mistake.Managment came over to check out her situation,then she act like my wife was lying about the overcharge.Finally after showing prove with my wife's bank account. The management then told the cashier to fix it.She was new and told manger she didn't no how to fix this problem. Instead of taking care of my wife to herself and let the cashier work on the line of people she had accumulated. Manger decided to make everyone wait to figure out how to fix issue. Management said they fixed the issue but it's still not posted on her bank account. So hopefully it doesn't take 7 days to get back for a simple mistake. Make sure to watch your receipts. Will report to corporate.UPDATE: My bank account is still messed up,no money has been recovered it's been past 7 days.

Clean enough DG. Clerks are friendly and efficient. However, every time I've stopped in for a last minute item. I've witnessed someone shoplifting. Blatantly.

In general (ha, get it?) I like DG. They tend to have all the basics I need, from milk, cheese, cereal, eggs, and bread to various meats, hot dogs and pizzas that you may want for a snack. They have hardware covering dishes, towels, storage containers all the way to various size clothing and school wares. Finally, they have a prescription isle for heartburn, deodorant, Tylenol... Etc. They even carry bathroom and baby items. I run by DG 2 to 3 times a week rather than have to go to big box stores and fight the crowds. The only reason Dollar General gets four stars is because they often only have one cashier and it can take a few minutes to cash out.

I just want to say the managers and employees at this store are outstanding! On a scale of 1-10 I would give them a 15 They give 110 percent every day .Keep up the good work guys .

It’s hard to shop with the isles being so crowded with merchandise. There’s never enough help at the registers. The employees sit right at the door and smoke. The parking lot is full of trash and garbage. They try to close 10-15 minutes earlier than what the sign says and even yell it across the store.

Very rude! Needed to do a return and the manager made it very obvious she didn't want to do it. The item did not work and I had my receipt. Anyone should be upset, should be me. I will think twice before spending my money there again.

Always have what I need. Service, they need two cashiers all the time. Most of the time it's just one and the customers are lined up. It's about 15 or more.
