I absolutely love the BG Humane Society! Every single experience we’ve had there has been nothing short of fantastic. From the clinic to the adoption facility.My dog, Mika is absolutely the worst when it comes to nail trims. Not only did they have her nails clipped in 3 minutes (vs 3hrs if I try to do it) it was also extremely affordable.And then there’s Kopi. We adopted our dog from the shelter, and the staff was the absolute best. They gave us everything we needed, and more. Kopi is just the friend Mika needed!They’re extremely generous and I’m so happy to have them in our community!

We live close to the humane society so I take my kids up there whenever we can to see all the dogs and cats and take some of the dogs for walks every now and then. My kids love going there and spending time with them and getting to play with the animals. The staff is very helpful and friendly when it comes to asking about the animals as well.

wow the staff and management are amazing really nice and caring and the love they have for the animals is mind blowing hands down some of the best people I've had the privilege to meet and do volunteer work for. And they actually know how to treat the customers or anyone that comes thru the door. I would recommend this place to anyone for their pets needs or even looking for a pet....

We adopted a pup from BG humane society and the staff were quick and provided info on the dog. I would say more thorough checks need done since I just filled out a paper and I was good to go.

I went to the spca to find out if my cat was there. She wasn't. They told me that they put them back where they found them. I live 1 block from that place and she never came back. I think they just let her go in any wooded area that wasn't close to where she lived. Now she is lost. She is a very old and I am afraid she will not make it out there.

This place is busy. Service for our fur baby was good. As the staff was rushed, my only complaint is that we were rushed through the discharge process.

I absolutely love this Humane Society. I moved here with an older dog and consistently bought her flea and heart worm medicines as well as had vaccines and nails done here. The prices are great and significantly less than my vet’s.When my older dog passed away, I found my new BFF here. The puppy I adopted is adorable, sweet and most importantly, healthy. Puppy adoption prices are low when you consider they are already spayed/neutered and vaccinated when they come home.The people here are super friendly and helpful. I absolutely highly recommend this shelter. They do amazing with the animals and by adopting you help a pet find their forever home.

These guys work tirelessly to serve the community in taking care of so many aspects of caring for the lives of so many animals in Bowling Green and Warren County. They greet you with a smile and offers to help. Staff and vets there really take time to answer questions and be present for you despite the fact that they are obviously very busy most of the time. The boys even carry things in or out for you if you like. Surprisingly clean considering what they deal with on a day to day basis. I don’t know how they do what they do, but I know they do it well.5 stars, will recommend every time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Not all heroes wear capes.

Love the humane society. This particular store has the nicest staff. As previous comments have said, they never answer their phones through the day, perhaps they need more staffing. However, everyone there is super kind and care about the animals coming in.

This place is amazing and so are the staff that work there. Our pit puppy came up missing and someone who volunteeres there found her and took her there. So when I called to see if our pit Lola was there they told us she was. They put a microchip in her, gave her her rabie shots, and fixed her to where she can't have puppies. They took really good care of her, they also made sure that she was returned to us safe and sound. They also provided us not only with the medicine she needed, but with the information and knowledge how to take care of her since her procedure.I want to thank each and everyone of you that helped us and our Lola Rae out, cause if it wasn't for you all then we might have never got her back home...

We got our little man here a few weeks back. The adoption side is wonderful. No complaints. But the vet clinic side never answers their phone to save their lives. It's frustrating, especially when scheduling surgery. We needed the date changed due to a change in our work schedules and were unable to do so thanks to them leaving the phone off the hook so they dont have to answer. Should definitely get a receptionist or something. It's super unprofessional.

Recently, our elder dog got away from us, and was picked up, and thankfully, he taken here.The staff was caring, and attentive, and we got him backAlthough! Now our after his little adventure, our elder dog is now grounded (probably until sometime around Y3K), we still haven't decided yet.

This place is such a blessing to animals, I've gotten pets from here in the past and the staff here are phenomenal, they even have a little clinic and among other services. It really is a treat. We take our kids to go check out the pets and play with them sometimes. But all in all it's if anyone ever is looking for a new fur-mily member. Absolutely recommend going here.Update: Our oldest dog went missing yesterday! Thank you Jesus they had him here! We got him chipped also!

This is hands down the best animal shelter I've been to. They treat the animals well, and they try hard to get every animal a home. Most of the staff are really nice. The only reason I left a star off is because there are a couple of staff, mostly in the intake building, who are not very nice at all. I rescue animals and bring them in when I can, and I have been treated as though it's an inconvenience even though that is their job.

I had to take in my cat that I had taken from a friend so that she didn't have to go to the humane society. Well my allergies were out of control so after not finding her a home I had to take her to the humane society. I had only had her a month. Always an indoor cat with me. She had just had babies before I took her from a friend. Well as I was filling out the paperwork the judgemental assistant took her to the other room . She began to check her out and give her the shots they were supposed to give and said we have a very pregnant cat just surrendered. I was in shock and she became even more judgemental and rude! Um how would I know she was pregnant she was never outside while I had her. It was hard enough to take her in. I wanted her but couldn't be sick like that. I've never surrendered an animal before! My last pet a beautiful dog my baby girl was killed in a house fire when someone set fire to my son's home! Worst experience I've ever had a any humane society!

My Sister friend came down from Jersey to help me with my 19 cats. There is no TNR Program in Christian County so she did the research and found that the Bowling Green Humane Society does have a TNR Program for which they were doing the spay & neuter for free. We made the trip to take the 5 who needed to be spayed & neutered. They kept them overnight to make sure they would be ok. This was a blessing bc I had one of my boys done locally ending up with his death bc they didn't keep him overnight even after he almost died on the table. He was having seizures and I had no idea bc I had never seen a cat have a seizure before. He NEVER really recovered from almost dying, kept having seizures and they put him down. These are the 5.1. Golden2. Mr. Priss (front) and Peeper3. Shadow4. Bright EyesMichelle and the staff there were VERY helpful with providing us with info to safely trap and the type of traps.I am very thankful to them for all of their help and assistance.

I and very disappointed with my experience here. I brought my 2 cats to update their shots. One of them gets really freaked out traveling so I put his favorite comfort toy, a toy he loves and has had his entire life of 7 years. It was inside his carrier when they took him in the back. While there he was freaking out a bit so they never took him out of the carrier so I assumed I didn't need to look for the plush toy he had with him. Upon returning home we found that it was missing. We called but did not get a return call for almost a week later and of course the toy was missing and no one there had any idea about it.A month later and my cat is super depressed without his toy. I cannot even express in words how much he loved that toy. Is been a month and I haven't even heard him meow. He's so depressed. I've tried other toys but he won't play with them.Emotional well being of animals as well as physical well being should be paid attention to and the employees here did not. I feel like I have a different cat now. One that isn't happy anymore. Thanks for breaking my cats heart. He doesn't play anymore and just sits around looking sad.

The BG humane society is the cleanest I've ever seen. The staff and volunteers are very polite even in such a busy environment.I now have two, happy, healthy and energetic kittens that are enjoying their forever home. 😊

If I could leave no stars I would. I Will never step foot here again, and I will forever tell everyone to never go here, I love humane societies in other cities and I have dealt with no less then 50 cats being spayed before as I worked for my counties TNR program years ago but out of all the places I’ve been this is the worst. I got my cat spayed and she got an awful infection that was literally eating her skin, I called and messaged all weekend because my vet was closed and no response from the humane society I finally got someone to answer and they said bring her in in the morning then we get there, and I tell them they can’t use a certain anesthesia because she’s allergic, they said then we shouldn’t do it there but they still can if I want. I asked what could happen if we do and they said “she could die on the table but we could still do it if you want us to” WHO WANTS TO HEAR THAT. I never want to go to a place that is morally okay with doing something like that knowing it’s a good chance the animal can die. Just say you aren’t comfortable doing it because if that. We went to snodgrass and without questions they took her and said that it was a very bad infection and she needed to be opened back up to clean it, they did it and did an amazing job.
