Having to say goodbye is never easy. The staff here, and especially Dr. Hesse, were so kind and empathetic. They worked us in 3 weeks ago, when we first thought it was time. But Dr. Hesse was able to give us just a little more time with Diesel, with the right meds. It was time this morning, and again, they worked us in. Then told us to take our time with Diesel once it was over. And I'll never forget Dr. Hesse's words. As he was walking out, to give us some time with Diesel before we left, he rubbed him on his forehead and said "I'll see you up there, Buddy." We could not have asked for any better treatment for us or for our beloved Diesel.

I am beyond dissatisfied with this clinic. Only been here a few times but was not impressed each visit. They sure do love to charge you $55 for a 30 second look at your pet and call it an “exam”. Gave my cat a steroid shot because her ears have been dirty and the vet clearly couldn’t figure out why, proceeded to tell me if she needed more of these “injections” for allergies it could give my cat diabetes. I was not even greeted the last time I took my cat in, it’s clear they don’t care about their clients and just want your money. I ended up taking my cat to a much better clinic and regret ever stepping foot and wasting my money at this poor excuse of a vet clinic. The other vet took 15 minutes examining my cat!! They actually talked to me like a normal human being and actually cared about my concerns and my cat! College hill vet was always so condescending when talking to me. When they found out I was attempting to get my cats records faxed over to a different clinic the rude receptionist told me it takes 24-48 hours to fax records. Oh does it? That’s funny, I used to run a pet resort that was connected to a clinic and it never took us more than 1 hour to fax records BUT we were also competent at our job and wasn’t petty. 0 stars for this clinic, my friends told me to stay away from this clinic but it was the closest one to me that’s why I gave them a shot. Never again.

I brought my female in for an exam due to a superficial wound. Extremely pleased with my overall experience. Friendly staff, affordable prices, and knowledgeable doctors.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recommend this clinic to all my dog/cat lovers.Thanks again!Zatara is all healed up.

Dr. Chris Hesse took time for me to interview him for my business class I am taking at WSU. Our daughter’s dog loves getting into the car to go to the vet! Great service, great people!

Wonderful staff. The front desk is sympathetic and helpful. The Vet. Technicians are very kind and aware/gentle. And Dr. Chris was very informative, listened to all my questions, and left me with a lot of assurance and peace of mind on a difficult thought. I took my Samson here because he wasn't eating and he became very weak. He ended up being diagnosed with lymphoma. Dr. Chris was very informative and even showed me the lymph-nodes while offering a lot of other information. Dr. Chris was able to buy me a month or two more with the healthy boy I desperately missed. The medicine worked and he became a happy, fat boy again. Dr. Chris was also very helpful with me couping with the decision of putting Samson down due to all the variables of his health and suffering. He was honest and blunt, but still compassionate and caring, which is what I needed. After a day or two of sadness, I received by mail a signed letter by the staff with Samson's nose print in it which gave me happy tears. I am forever grateful to this clinic and to the wonderful and caring people that work here, and making a difficult situation easier to bare/coup with. Thank you College Hill AH for everything you all do ❤️💚

Thank you for squeezing my dog in today for an emergency exam and treatment for his “hot spot.” He was hurting before we came in and was back to his normal self within an hour. Sent home with meds to keep him feeling good. Super thankful for you all!Update a year later, still great. The Doctors here have established one of the best family practices and business. Thanks for taking care of my dogs!

Very professional and kind to our cocker and us. We are traveling from out of state, and brought our baby in for a possible GI bleed. All of the staff there did an exceptional job on diagnosing the issue, providing treatment, and were readily available for any questions upon getting home. Would recommend this place to anyone! This place is tiny, dirty and stunk! The vet I saw did not follow through with recommendations on removing a tumor from my dog. Never heard from them again after initial appointment. I wasn't planning to return anyway as the place was so filthy. I would never let my dog have surgery in such a dirty place. Also their technology is in the dark ages. I basically paid $70 for a nail trim. Found a much nicer, cleaner and more professional vet closer to home.

We love this place! A year ago, our beloved vet retired and we tried to find some place that was comparable. After several tries, we found this amazing office. The people are warm, friendly and they truly care about their clients and pets. They took us once in an emergency situation without an appointment and have always been able to find us an accommodating time, sometimes on the same day. Better yet, they believe in 3 year rabies shots which, from my experience, is better for the animal and good on my wallet (their services are very reasonable). They also don’t believe in charging you for a wellness checkup every time you go in like a lot of other clinics, but will give you one if you ask. They see your pet in a timely manner as well. There’s nothing to dislike about this place in my opinion!

I've been taking my pets here for over a year now and I can't imagine going elsewhere Dr. Pupkoff and Dr. Hesse are both very knowledgeable and thorough. I have a great Dane so they are also very acomodating for large breed owners.

When I use to go to College Hill Animal Hospital they took real good care of my little Yorkie Dixie just wish they wasn’t so high on their shots to where poor people on a fixed income can’t afford it especially the yearly heartworm exrays and shot and the staff are really friendly and treat you like your part of their family wish I could of keep affording to go they got to expensive on all there shot’s and meds and way to expensive on their spaying and neutering and also they where always clean in the office front and exam rooms and I really thank them from the bottom of my heart for all they done and their kindness

After a bad experience with a different vet I called college hill animal hospital in hopes they could get me in and after listening to my situation they were extremely understanding and found some time to check my dog out. Super grateful for the kindness they showed me and my fur baby today. Will deff be my new go to vet clinic and im going to definitely refer all family and friends to them! 10/10 experience.

For years I have been having issues with one of my dogs ears. Have taken him to other vets and never gotten any relief. Here they not only listen to everything I had to say they explained everything to me very well! And best of all my dog has actually found relief from his ears! Highly recommend this veterinarian.

I had a medical emergency with my 15 year old cat that ultimately involved put her to sleep. The fact that they were able to get her in on such short notice was incredible. The fact that they sent out a condolence card,, overwhelming! Did I mention that my cat was also a new patient ? Yeah,,, I highly recommend !

Call this vet first!!!!!!! They only do walk ins on Saturday so they won’t turn you and your pup away as long as you’re there by a certain time. Vet and techs were super busy but you wouldn’t know it. We weren’t rushed out of the exam room and Rose rapid fired treats and pets on Stanley which is awesome since he gets a little nervous in the exam room. Stan woke up with a janky eye this morning and after being turned away from every vet in Wichita, came home with Abx to prevent eye infection and the okay to carry on with exploring this weekend.

College Hill Animal Hospital is a great place for all our fur babies!! Staff is all very friendly from checking in until you leave. First Saturday of the month 8-12 they offer discounted shots.

My dog had been seen here for a few years and needed a follow up x-ray after eating sharp metal, an emergency. The receptionist could not have been more rude and the vet more indifferent. Care was refused. They suggested having my dog sit in a kennel all day waiting or to come another day which was against the clear follow up care faxed to them. We are leaving this practice.

Excellent experience with this Doctor. Our dog was ill. We called our vet whom was out of town. We got turned down by 5 local vet's. We were lucky to get a visit with this Doctor. Great staff,very nice office set up they did all the test that was required. Got some new ideas for the Doctor. They gave him medication. He's doing so much better tonight. Highly recommend this Veterinarian!

Today my cat passed away unexpectedly. We rushed her to College Hill vet to do anything to try to save her because I didn’t know she was too far gone yet. The vet who came to see her didn’t take the entire situation seriously and was completely patronizing, condescending, and unhelpful while I broke down in the room they brought her to. It wasn’t taken seriously at all and we took her home to lay her to rest. They did not offer any end of life services for her at all- I wish I could’ve chosen to cremate her. I don’t recommend this vet office.

Everyone here has always been extremely nice and friendly! We've been using the for about 7 years now and Dr. Hess has put 2 of our dogs down. 1 due to cancer and the other due to old age. Both times they have sent us sympathy cards with everyone signing it! They truly care about us and our animals!!

My dog has seasonal allergies, and after boarding for two weeks at a kennel, his stress levels caused him to pretty much get allergies everywhere, and intensify them. I called this vet, and despite having a fully packed schedule, they made time for him to come in.He had an exam, tests and I was given a couple medications that would’ve cost double at some of the other local vets. Extremely cost effective and surprised I didn’t have to break the bank for them to treat him (like most vets do). Definitely going to make this location the vet for my puppy.

Amazing!! The staff is wonderful and so kind. I have no problem trusting them with my little fur baby. They take the time to speak with you regardless if they are busy. They understand it is not a pet to you but part of your family. Highly recommended if your looking for a great place to take your fur baby.

Surprisingly, Cisco, my yorkipoo pup, was seen immediately after I called to schedule an appointment. We were both greeted with friendly smiles and warm hellos. The reception and nursing staff immediately got down to business and prepared Cisco for his Dr visit. The Dr examined and treated Cisco with such beautiful care. I greatly appreciative of the events of the day.Thank You College Hill. You all are awesome.
