I can understand waiting for a vet appointment but almost an hour and seeing 5 other animals being taken back five minutes after they walked through the door was extremely frustrating. They have a sign on the wall specifying the order that they see animals in: emergencies, appointments, and then walk-ins. I had an appointment. The receptionist assured me twice that she was going to let them know we were there for her appointment and yet it took almost an hour for my dog to be seen. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because when they finally did take her back, they were quick and my dog did well (she hates her nails being clipped).

I am out of town and needed a vet for my fur baby and they were able to get me in the same day and took great care of my baby. Great staff as well. My fur baby doesn't like other dogs so I mentioned it to them that I would sit in car with him and if they could call me when ready. They actually came out the side door to get him and took him in so he didn't see any of the other animals there. I can't say it enough the Dr and her staff are awesome people

I took my dog to the them when he was 6 weeks old, he had parvo, he stayed 2 nights, they took wonderful care of him, he is now 2 years old, 100 lb lap dog, and he's feeling his oats. Kelly is extremely patient and so good with animals even when he was acting out because he was scared. Awesome place, awesome staff.

People are always friendly and helpful. Dr Allen explains issues about your dog in a way you totally understand. She is really thorough. Great veterinary.

I have never felt more comfortable leaving my cats in someone else's care. This is the vet for you, they are wonderful and always very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinarian.

Updated to 3 stars as they misdiagnosed my poor baby. He had a thyroid disorder that caused him severe pain and he had gotten a bad skin infection. Kidney disease made him suffer and had to be euthanized. Not to 5 stars I had to take my 13 year old yorkie Magic to them for a skin issue. They are very nice and explained everything I needed to know. Had to take him back in a week and they gave me special shampoo. I am going to keep going to them.I could only give 4 stars because I have never been in the facility. They did a shot and license event at Erie, KS and they were quick, efficient, and friendly as well. I will be taking my dogs there for almost everything. I will update after I go into their facility.

Took 1 of my cats in for nail trim, has been done before but this time when we got home he hid & wouldn't come out except to use litter box . Since we aren't allowed back with our animals I don't know what happened. He acted as though thay possibly hurt him.

Took my certified service dog in to get his nails clipped. She tried to separate him from me to weigh him and take him to an office away from me. I kept explaining to her that he is my service dog and we cannot be separated. She (the horrible vet) finally let me take him back to be weighed and he cooperated completely. Then she finally let me take him to the waiting room to have his nails clipped. She came out with the clippers and handed them to me and said sarcastically, "do you want to do it?" I said no and she quickly clipped the front nails only. As quick as she clipped them she went to the computer and ran up a bill for me. It was $21.80. I was shocked but knowing her attitude I paid it and left. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Allen Vet was able to identity and properly treat a skin allergy that had been making my poor dog miserable for a long time. Another vet just gave us a monthly shot that worked for about a week then the dog would be miserable again. My dog has all her hair and better mobility now. I recommend this vet!

Are all about the money.Update -Told me upon examine my cat he had stone needed a catheter and his bladder drained.Would cost around 200.00 .Called me later that night to ask if she could put a stitch in to hold the catheter.On second day she didnt call and give me update i had to finally call her around 4 and see how he was she said she gave him pain meds and drained his bladder but he still was not going bathroom on his own .The morning of the 3rd day she called and told me he was dead.She said she couldnt get the catheter in he had some type of blockage said she was going to talk to another vet about him that morning but he was gone.She never told me he was sick enough to die and she never told me she couldnt get the catheter in.She told me my bill was still 200.00.I said i wanted itemized bill I wanted to know what I was being charged for. All was on the bill was pain meds and fluid.I will never take another family member to these people.

If I could rate negative stars I would. I had the most horrific experience there today. She(the female vet) had her mind made up prior to even examining our dog. Then she was so very rude to me when I was asking questions. I can assure you I'll never darken their door again. It's sad that's she is going to run her dad's business in the ground.

Small town veterinary. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. But as usual they are quite expensive. But in and around parsons ks is the only vet within 30 minutes I trust with my pets.

We took my mastiff to see the Allen's when our current vet was not in the office. When we had our first appointment he had just flopped down on the waiting room floor and would not get up. The vet told me she would just look at him right there. She noticed right off what was the matter and ended up keeping him for a week and ultimately gave me another week with my 4 legged best friend. Unfortunately we lost him to complications from cancer but had it not been for the Allen's we would have not had an extra week with him.The whole staff showed caring and compassion to him and I both and I am forever grateful.They have gained a customer for life

We had been searching for a small "rescue" dog for several weeks. These folks had posted a small wire-terrier mix on their website. This dog had been skin and bones when the police brought her in about a month ago. When we went to see this dog, it was obvious by the its behavior and appearance that she had been treated affectionately. They had spayed her and given her the needed shots. We adopted this little dog and have named her "Scooter". Because of their willingness to keep dogs until a new owner comes along makes the tops in our books. They still have one that they have kept for over 3 months. I am confident we paid significantly less than they had invested.
