The first time that I went into this pet shop, there were a quite a few dead reptiles and amphibians. Some were in with others that live in a completely different environment than they needed, which was probably why they died. They were all dried out and had obviously been there for a while. It was when the shop was in a small place and she did have some staff. The fact that they were dead should have been noticed and dealt with before then.Most of the prices there are too high as well.JoJo Dee's gets two stars because she's always friendly.The store had moved again. This is the 3rd or 4th time in 5 years, so we'll see what happens with it.

The store is dark, smelly, and filthy. The few reptile enclosures I did see were unkempt and shabby. Majority of her rodents and reptiles were kept in a dark room, in small totes, with no temperature or humidity regulation. The birds were in adequate housing however the cages, water dishes, and food dishes were all covered in a thick layer of poop that had to have accumulated over weeks. I purchased aquatic frogs that seemed to be in good condition but within 24 hours they shed partially, turned grey, and died. The fish I purchased developed a weird film over them and also died within the week. The 40 gallon all these were kept in was a previously established tank with a couple healthy fish I've had for years. The only conclusion I can draw is that these fish and frogs were sick or improperly cared for to begin with. Do yourself or your kids a favor and drive the couple extra miles to a different pet store.
