I had lunch at The Outpost a couple days ago, and it was delicious! The staff was super friendly as always. They remodeled the restaurant area, which looks awesome. I always look forward to eating here!!

Idk what happened because I loved the pina colodas from here when they first opened. But today they were bad. And the breakfast was crazy high for burnt toast I could've made at home. I was very disappointed 🙁 I really was looking forward to that pina colada.

Finally had a chance to check out the Outpost this morning and I was so impressed!!! The store has absolutely everything you could possibly want or need and then some. They have a great selection of beers and seltzers. I stopped by the cafe and ordered biscuits and gravy and a mimosa to go and WOW!!!! The biscuit was fluffy and delicious and the gravy is honestly the best I’ve ever had (sorry mom) Great flavor and lots of sausage….paired nicely with the mimosa! Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. I’m already looking forward to breakfast tomorrow.

Recently fired their fabulous kitchen staff. Now they're having family members try to bring their reviews up on social media. Management says they were losing money to the restaurant. Which if it were true they should've saved the money they put down for renovations and kept the great staff they had. I was hoping to try Esther Farrell's delicious food at this restaurant in the following weekend but I'd rather save my money for some other overly priced food.

It was delicious… ordered the Outpost burger & Sirloin burger…delicious! Space camper IPA hit the spot too! Cozy environment w/Friendly staff as well. We will be back when caping at Cheney state Park!

Went over Mother's Day weekend. Entire staff was super friendly and accommodating. Even though the menu was limited (from being so busy) what we did order was excellent!!! The kids raved about the burgers too. I know they'll have to expand their seating once word gets out!

Great food and drinks, and the staff is amazing and friendly. The store is awesome, it has everything you could ever need at the lake. This place is essential to anyone in the area, we absolutely love it. - bonus, they are pet friendly. Our dogs love the staff too!

Drove from Wichita to Cheney KS to try breakfast at the newly open restaurant 'The Outpost at Cheney Lake'.. I must say that the Loaded Grilled Burrito ( bacon, sausage, eggs, home fries, cheddar chese on a flour tortilla with pico) with coffee was excellent. A must visit. They served fresh locally sourced traditional American food.
