Unfortunately this place isn’t what it used to be. I ran into Eric and he was super helpful and kind. As well as Grant who would drop anything to help you out or find what you need. However the owner was not and was rather rude. Have also had bad experience with the one who runs the rentals in the past. Not the same store or people it used to be.

Service is friendly and helpful, as well as pretty knowledgeable. Decent prices and a good selection for its size. Aisles are well-organized, too. Lots of rentals are available for parties, events, garden/yard, and home projects. Plenty of parking, and they'll help you load if needed.

We rented white table and chairs for our sons reception and we got terrible service. We tried calling multiple times to talk with the rental manager and they would take my number and I never got a call back. The tables and chairs were filthy dirty and stuff spilled all over them. It took us a LONG time to clean them all before we could even use them. They were pretty low quality as well. Tables and chairs both not sturdy.

They expanded about a year ago. Very complete local hardware store with knowledgeable staff. They sell stihl outdoor equipment and have a good selection of rental tools. Items scattered throughout that you just don't find at the big box stores

Great place to buy any and all hardware you can possibly need!! I needed a certain bolt for a machine, checked out the hardware store and they had it!! The staff is always friendly and help customers. They are also a UPS drop off location!!

My friend and I visited the Hardware Store last Saturday and even though it was very busy, the owner took time to answer my question about the town (we were visiting from Texas) and gave such excellent advice that it made our trip a huge success. The store has lots of unique items and the people are fantastic. I would put it as a “Must See” on any visitors trip to Atchison.

It seems to get more expensive every time I go. Then they are now running out of everything. Then they want to charge you for ordering a item that you bought from them in the first place.I'm also finding it kinda funny how they rush, just to stand there and talk to about nothing with ppl who apparently have all the time in the world.

If you think back to the stories your daddy told you about the mom and pop hardware stores they had in his day, you're already familiar with this one. They aren't just eager to help you make a sale, but truly care about solving your problem if it's within their power. They have searched through catalogs until they found one that carried an unusual kind of hanger my autistic son uses and them ordered them for me without my asking for anything other than "you don't happen to carry these weird hangers do you?" they don't just ask what you want, but what it's for, and give phenomenal advice even if it means they don't make the sale.

Who would bother with the impersonal big box store, traffic, rude behavior and a pain in the wallet? Here you'll find theepitome of community service. Staff are bright without being pushy. All it's missing is a checkers board and it could double as town meeting place?!

I have never found a hardware store with more quality items than this one in Atchison, KS.They don't sell washing machines, clothes or bullets like the ones of yesteryear, but they have everything else. If you need anything a good hardware store has, they have it at a good price. Take notes, big box stores! You have nothing compared to this one.The atmosphere is new and old with the people offering to help you find anything you desire. The rows and rows of plumbing, electrical, garden, weed eaters, chain saws, bolts, tools and hundreds of other sections will make any repairman or worker salivate. A dream come true!
