A great addition to downtown Waterloo! They have great drinks & quite a few fun flavors! I tried both the chocolate chip cookie dough and red velvet cheesecake iced and they were both delicious, red velvet cheesecake is definitely my favorite though! Their açaí bowls are also very tasty, I’ve had the #3 twice now and it’s so good! The owner & staff are very friendly and welcoming! Definitely worth the try!

Very clean, centrally located, smells amazing upon entrance, we were greeted immediately and once or order was put in it was at the table within 7 minutes which is amazing. I allot 20 min usually. I am very proud this store is in the community and I dressed like a hobo on purpose and wasn’t treated any differently. This is a five star place with people with good hearts.

Was my first time stopping in this morning and the barista was so helpful and kind! It's easy to get overwhelmed when you go to a new coffee place with all the crazy terms and flavors, but the menu was (extremely😊) aesthetically pleasing and easy to understand.The shop was very clean and the food and drink I got were awesome. There were a lot of choices in case you have dietary restrictions too. Between my sandwich, drink, and acaí bowl, I thought my total would be a lot more - it ended up being less $ than when I get two specialty drinks at Starbucks...and here you are supporting locally owned business (by a 21 year old?!), not a huge corporation. Definitely give it a try!Ube latte- Instagram worthy and tastes great.Acaí bowl- I got the #1- Strawberries, banana, kiwi, & coconut on top. I've honestly never tried acaí but it was great and a refreshing choice for breakfast. I also got the breakfast sandwich on the jalapeño biscuit. The batista said it has a kick if you like spicy food. It definitely has a kick and tasted amazing. A great addition to the Cedar Valley, and dangerous being right by my work 😏Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegetarian, and dairy free options. Very clean prep for those with legitimate food allergies or cultural preferences.Parking: Not busy at all in the morning. Easy to access and close to the Cafe as well as many other shops.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible entry, wide door, and tables are far enough from the entrance.

My husband and I are huuuge fans of Savvy Bean!! It’s our favorite little coffee, breakfast date spot. The açaí bowls are the best I’ve tried and they are always so kind and quick to help! Last time we were there, another customer had grabbed our order off the counter and the owner made sure to get us a replacement quickly and even gave us free drink vouchers for our troubles! Top tier customer service, food and drinks! This is a great addition to downtown Waterloo and we hope to see a lot more growth there too!

Lovely coffee and very friendly staff. Great place to cozy up to a cup of coffee on a rainy day. I tried the Toffee Marshmallow specialty drink and I was a bit hesitant to order it in fear of it being too sweet but I decided to give it a shot and I’m so glad I did! It was perfectly balanced and not a syrupy mess like you might get from the coffee chains in our area! I will definitely be returning here to try out some of the other specialty drinks on the menu

The baristas were always kind and had amazing service. However the owner treats their staff terribly and has a lot of learning to do when it comes to running a business. Would not recommend buying from there because the owner does not deserve it.

My experience was with staff. Ordered two pumpkin spice lattes. My husband said his was way too sweet. I didn't think much of it and kept drinking mine that wasn't even remotely sweet. Had good coffee flavor. My husband decided he needed a green tea to combat what he had just attempted to drink. We shared the information with staff. One was sitting down, eating her own hot breakfast and on a computer. Who knows maybe the owner? I doubt it. I tasted his while they made the green tea. His was all syrupy and sweet, mine was not. I let the staff know and poured the two together and took it with me. We were never offered dine in cups only to go cups. Paid full Price for everything despite sharing and showing how therapy one of the drinks was. I got a piece of pastry that's pre-made in a package. They forgot it. I had to ask for it after they brought a glasses. It was just handed to me. I had to ask for a plate and a napkin. There were two cocktail napkins at the self-serve station but they didn't look new. She picked them up and handed them to me. Husband says he won't go back. He's not big on foofy coffee but there was a problem here. I don't think they ever said sorry. They just stared at me both young ladies. It was a disappointment for a first time

I’m not from Iowa, I live in Texas but came to visit family usually I go to Dunkin or Starbucks but I decided to support a small business! A couple days ago I came in and I think the young ladies names were araceli and daniela I’m not quite sure they did look alike though! Excellent customer service they helped me decide what would best fit me since I like my coffee a certain way! I tell you what I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town! Great coffee and employees! Keep up the good work!

Recently stopped in to try the Banana Bread Smoothie. Now, I understand this is a “healthy” smoothie compared to what most other businesses produce as a smoothie. With that being said, this one left a bitter taste in my mouth. Literally and metaphorically. I didn’t watch the woman make it but I can say, without a doubt, that the bananas used in it were more green than Lincoln Park during Irish fest. I’m being generous with 2 stars here but I simply cannot believe I paid ~9.50 (with a tip) for the most bland, underwhelming smoothie my taste buds have ever experienced.

I had the sausage-egg-cheese-potato-siracha breakfast bowl. It tasted like a Jimmy Dean Breakfast bowl with hot sauce squirted on top. My fiancé got the #1 açaí bowl and that was amazing. We also got the strawberry and cream lotus energy drink and I got a caramel cold brew. Both were phenomenal. Hers was way better as my cold brew was a tad too sweet for me but I say that at every coffee shop. The baristas were friendly and quick. Less than 3 mins to get our drinks and 5 mins for our food.
