Several years ago, I had a dog I called Zoey Kangas. I took her to Logan Animal Hospital. I was thinking of adopting another older female dog and I got accidently disconnected during one of the worst snowstorms this winter (2024). Dr. Thomas saw that he had missed a call so called me back, as I had some questions about adopting another dog. He answered all my questions and went way above and beyond in addressing my concerns. Thank you so much and I highly recommend Logan Animal Hospital to anyone here or moving to this area.

I'm disappointed in the experience we had when we brought our dog in to be put down. We had never been to Logan Animal Hospital before, and we were there because the dog bit someone, so there was a lot of admin and paperwork to do. We had to discuss the circumstances surrounding the bite at length, then locate rabies vaccine records, which took quite some time. All of this could have been taken care of in advance if someone had told us what we needed when we made the appointment. We were there for an hour and a half. Putting a pet down is already incredibly difficult, and having to search for medical records during your pets' final hour is simply unacceptable.

I called today with an emergent issue with my cat and they were able to squeeze me into their packed schedule. My cat ended up having an emergency surgery that day and again, they were able to squeeze my cat into their schedule for that. I an grateful for Dr. Thomas and the staff there! They were all so pleasant, informative, and accommodating. 10/10 experience.

Great doctor, They really seem to care.... I had an emergency with my dog Cash he gave us a scare one night when he wouldn't stop throwing up and he was shaking and having muscle tremors. I called the doctor to see if I should bring him in and he explained to me what could be going on and if it didn't stop to bring him in the next morning. But thankfully it did and he is okay. He must have just ate something that made him sick. But the doctor made me feel very reassured that he was going to be okay and let me know that most likely it was something he ate. I really appreciated that.

Amazing vet, I will never take my cats to another vet as long as I can! My cat broke her tooth last night and was bleeding pretty bad so I called today and they fit her in between appointments. Lovely kind people and has never ever done anything to hurt my trust in them, my family all uses this vet and we all love him so much!

I've been to most of the veterinarians in Waterloo and Cedar Falls. None of the competitors come close to the attention to detail and compassion for my fur baby. Humble, down to earth, reasonable pricing, no pressure sales, extremely informative and set contingencies in case problems persist. The team at Logan Animal Hospital are not just interested in a paycheck and have my trust for future healthcare needs of my pets.

Showed up for my 9:30 appointment, and they took my pet inside while I had to wait outside, which I get. Another man was waiting outside as well. It wasn't until the other guy asked how much longer it was gonna be that they decided to tell us the doctor wasn't even in yet, and it might be another 10 - 15 minutes, which he didn't even sound too sure about. Would have been nice to know right away, but instead they were okay with letting me just wait outside without saying a word. Very unprofessional, and I won't be taking my pet here anymore. Thankfully, there are plenty of other options.

This place is wonderful! My cat was having constipation issues and they helped so much. I told them I only have a certain amount that I can currently afford and they were able to work with me. I from now on will always be using logan animal hospital for all my animals. Thank you guys so much!

We've been using Logan Animal Hospital for veterinary care, boarding, and grooming since around 2005. I've had to make so many emergency, after-hours calls to the vet where he was very quick to walk me through things without needing to bring the dogs in.About 14 months ago we had our yorkie boarded while we had to be out-of-state. Our yorkie was old, and had recently been sick and passed away at the vet while we were gone and he was boarded. The vet was so kind in delivering the news and giving us options for burial, cremation, or waiting for us to claim his body. We opted for cremation, and were given a locket of his hair with a paw print and a round silver tin with his ashes. This was a really kind touch during such a difficult time for our family. Our yorkie had been with me since he was small enough to fit in my palm and I used to bring him to my college classes with me when I first turned 18.One change I'd consider is extended coverage on weekends. We do a lot of travel, and it's not very convenient to have to wait until Monday to pick up our dogs from boarding.Additionally, it'd be really nice having something a little more high touch for boarding. The option for picture updates would be fun - another area boarding place does this and it gives such peace of mind. These wishes aren't necessities but would really make this place PERFECT.

Been using these guys for over 12 years with multiples dogs! My parents still use them to this day. When I moved out and got dogs of my own I went straight to them.. My dog (mostly parents) Doodle was dying and sick they help take care and nurse him to health, he ALWAYS had someone looking at him to make sure he was okay. they are SO understanding nice and caring! words could not describe it... i almost lost Doodle and they saved him. I can never thank them enough.

This place is great. The dogs got shots, the addressed my concerns, I've had cats put down due to old age. They have a great groomer, too. And not so expensive!

I just went on a trip and prior to leaving, all our original boarding facilities were booked so I started researching and reviewing other options for Myles and Dax to stay at while we would be gone.I found Logan Animal Hospital and read good reviews so I thought I would give it a try. I scheduled them both with "Wellness Checks" that were mandatory prior to their boarding stay. Ioriginally thought it would be easiest to get Dax neutered during his boarding so I had scheduled to have that done. A few days later I changed my mind when a staff member had called to "confirm" their boarding and neutering. This staff member (I cant remember her name and very upset I don't now) stated that there is "pre-screening blood work" that can be done prior to the procedure. She stated it "isn't mandatory for people to have this done but it can detect any issues such as diabetes that can potentially make the surgery go real bad real fast" is how she put it. I got a little nervous about the surgery cause as many of you know my dogs are my babies! So I told her over the phone that I think I will hold off the the neutering for now. I NEVER said YES OR NO to the pre-procedure blood work question. we drop my boys off June 9th (they did not CONFIRM if I still wanted the neutering and DIDN'T ask me again about the pre-screening blood work at the time of drop off) and we then we headed out of the country so therefore I didn't have cell phone service for a week! We get back into Dallas airport Saturday June 16th and it shows I have some voicemails. I listen to them and TWO voicemails were from Logan Animal Hospital asking about the pre-screening blood work prior to them doing the procedure. So I thought to myself, "Ok well they didn't hear back from me so they must not have went through with the neutering." WRONG!!!! I finally get a hold of Dr. Thomas and he said he went through with the neutering! I LOST IT in the airport. He understood I was upset on the phone and stated he wasn't going to charge me for the neutering since there was a miscommunication. I told him I wanted to pick up my boys Sunday even though they didn't do Sunday pick up.that didn't happen. So I had to wait the ENTIRE WEEKEND til this morning to get them! When I got to Logan Animal Hospital, Dr. Thomas wasn't there so I told the gal at the desk I wanted to pick them up. She told me the bill and I said No, that they had messed everything up and Dr. Thomas said he wasn't charging me for the neutering. They said there was no note of that and they couldn't release the dogs to me. I LOST IT AGAIN because now they were not allowing me to take my boys and holding them captive!! Dr. Thomas arrived and started making accusations about me "trying to pull a fast one." I WAS IRRATE!! I asked him if they did the pre-screening blood work and he said "No".So then I proceeded to get even more upset saying, "Then why did you call and ask if you didn't do it anyway and don't you think you shouldn't go through with a surgical procedure if you DONT GET AHOLD OF THAT PERSON!!" I am a nurse and we do procedure consents and pre-screening work all the time so if you didn't get my consent on the pre-screening blood work isn't that a RED FLAG and you should think, "Hey maybe we should wait til we hear from her?!?!?!" I would understand more if it was an EMERGENT procedure, to go ahead with it if you couldn't get a hold of the family member, but getting Dax neutered in this case was NON-EMERGENT!!! Dr. Thomas and I went back and forth and he had an excuse for EVERYTHING, he continued to say he wasn't going to release my boys to me until I paid. Then when I said I would pay for the boarding but NOT the neutering he said he was going to turn it over to collections. I was sooooo pissed and frustrated at this point that I paid for everything and left because I was NOT going to spend another second away from my babies! I am very upset with this whole situation and my experience with Logan Animal Hosptal and I WILL EVER recommend this facility to ANYONE nor will I return there. AS I SAID THIS WAS NOT ME

My cat is very ill. They were unable to diagnose him correctly. Dr. Thomas waited a full business day to call me back, knowing my cat is probably dying (and I asked to be called back before eod), and called at the end of the NEXT business day leaving a message and left me hanging on a weekend.I took my cat to a second doctor who did repeat blood work and gave me more options to work with. I hope my cat's health improves and does not have permanent liver damage.I've use this vet clinic for all my pets in the past. This is the first time I have experienced such lack of concern and compassion.I do not recommend their services for animals with serious health problems.
