The store is full of the most unorganized unfriendly bunch of people I have ever seen in my life. Corporate should concentrate more on hiring a team of people who are at the very least polite. Everytime I go in the signage is placed where it doesn't belong, which makes shopping there very difficult. The new Fareway can not be built fast enough !!

Older gentleman was not very friendly and the girl working there had no idea how the coupons work. It was just an uncomfortable experience not being helped properly. It’s like they give you the dirty look for trying to use your coupons. I would rather go to Dollar General in Ames.

Today stopped in to our Dollar Store in Story City and we had a very pleasant experience. The last several workers never got the shelves stocked or cleaned, we then drove to other towns to shop. Today Aisle we passable, shelves stocked and clean environment. I complimented the manager and 2 workers and checked out with over $100.

I've had issues with this DG before, but today I went in to buy using a coupon. $10 off 40. They decided to get rid of one of the checkout counters and replace it with a machine. At no point did it ask for coupons and the "digital coupon" button just asked for a phone number. After checking out I asked an employee and she said "there's nothing we can do".So I wasted $10... had to check things out myself, and even with the $10 discount, it's just the same price as walmart.Not buying there again.

Last night 3/4/23 my brother and I was shopping there and as we walked in we seen bins out front that had these yellow papers that stated the salea and clearances price it clearly said it the product was 1$ it's 90% off they would give an additional 50% off of the clearance price which would have been 5 cents well I was speaking the the GM DEB about it and she was treating li was stupid and couldn't read when I knew what I was reading and what another cashier was informing me of the day B4 she said there was going to be a alot of things on clearance and then50% off my family and I shop in there daily and ya she maybe getting the place cleaned up but to because I was standing up for what I know was right she was treating my family and I like l we was below her and like now I'm very very disappointed and Im not ok with bn treated like that well last night was the worst experience

Not crowded, service good, employees wearing masks although sometimes inadequate or slipping below face. They have a little of everything at great prices. Fun to browse. And they take FedEx packages!

Daughter quit working there and afterwards Sherri , the manager , harassed myself and her friends for months! Otherwise a great place with friendly knowledgeable staff. Kind of a funky setup parking lot, use caution pulling in!

Store is a mess and every item I purchased was marked less than on the shelf than I was charged at the check out by at least 30 cents up to a dollar per item. Very dishonest business practice.

No space whatsoever. Aisles are cramped and full of boxed goods on rolling carts. It might make it easier to restock shelves, but its a major inconvenience for shoppers. Backroom full of stuff, and bathrooms now used for storage.

They yet to up date their hours of operation on the website and when they should be open they're closed to stalk. When they should be doing that at closing. I don't drive due to medical reasons. So now I can't get what I need.

Most disgusting store ever. The manager is a LAZY woman who has hoarded the store, She sits in her hoarded car for hours smoking. Someone from corporate needs to make an unexpected visit to this store. People are tripping over boxes in the aisles. I have heard many complaints from customers. Located in Story City Iowa, I visit Story City often, and every time it has gotten worse. The shelves are empty, but yet roll carts in the aisle filled with product. Back room absolute mess, bathroom unusable. So bad a customer can not get a shopping cart down the aisle.

This store is BY FAR the worst dollar general I have been in... there is NO ROOM in ANY isle..... I had my daughter across the cart in her carseat (because you aren't suposed to put the carseat in the basket anymore, n it doesn't lock on amymore) and was hitting her carseat on EVERY clip strip in the isles... n they are so close, you can't even turn a cart around AT ALL!!!?? You have to back up to get out!!! I didn't even finish my shopping... I just took my daughter n her carseat n left...

Cramped like all DG but the employees were great. They had good stock and fast cashiers. I surprise myself by saying this but going to this DG was a good experience.

Still don't care for all the stuff in the aisles. Always in the way that you can't get to it, so I just don't get the item. Sometimes it's so bad they have an entire aisle full of new items to stock and you can't even get down the aisle.

I would not recommend this store as I have purchased expired food that was on the shelf not once but twice. The employees are not the friendlyness special a young blonde. This store has lost my business....

Not open for posted hours. I went there at 10 pm to get something because it said it was open till 11 pm. i understand that its still late no matter what but it should be open till posted time and it wasn't.

New store is well kept. Everything is easy to find.
