We came back for the second time to purchase items for our home from the "Window Coverings Department" in the Spencer, Iowa Store. There are two ladies there that ROCK this department!!! They are absolutely AMAZING! They know what they are doing. They are kind, helpful, pleasant and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we had want we needed and wanted by the time we were done with the order for our home. If we could give them more than 5 STARS we would because they deserve it! THANK YOU JC Penny for making a great choice to employ these two ladies and hang on to them! Great help is hard to find now days! Honestly, many of the employees at this store are great! It's why we don't go out of town to shop to other JC Penny stores. We like the one we have right here in our little town! And...thanks again to the two ladies who took the time to help us with our purchase!! We appreciate you!!!

Went shopping for teenage male and females' Christmas gifts from our family... to a family in need that we adopt at Christmas each year. Penny's was the perfect place to find all the sizes and styles we were looking for. Sales clerks were very helpful and friendly with all our needs. Good place to shop.

Today the cashier was great! However, the other cashier who has assisted me many times and treated me like dirt was there again. This time, however, I was up for the challenge and she scared me with a few tears. I do hope she feels better. I do. She wont be able to do it again. Believe in that!

Could be better. They dont have electric carts and neither does the rest of the mall. I have a partially collapsed lung and it makes it hard to breathe I'm on oxygen and I cant get around very well but doesn't mean I don't like or need to go shopping especially since things were closed and my kids have no summer clothes because they have grown out of them. Also the store was really hot inside so we ended up leaving before we were done. My mom couldn't take the heat, and she is always cold lol

Not good. Went to get my wife a thousand dollar ring for her birthday and couldn't enter the store without a mask. J.C. Penny please don't complain about lack of business, because YOUR corporation has chose to implement a rule that has absolutely no merit, when you go out of business, you have absolutely nothing to complain about.

It's so bad! The service there is bad too! I am simply trying to find good cheap clothes, on average EACH THING IS OVER 10 DOLLARS! Makes me happy why It almost closed down!

Customer service was aweful the employees were more interested in planning lunch than waiting on any customer. I wanted to order custom blinds and was completely ignored even after asking if there was someone that could help me.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. I like the junior line for my daughter a lot. In a small town we don't have much for shopping so it's a nice to have in town.

Some employees were helpful, others just wandered around..I didn't even realize one was an employee until I had been in and out of the dressing room several times. We had NO interactions. Not even a greeting.

Took advantage of a sale on Nike and Adidas. Nearly 2 hrs and an armload of clothes that didn't fit left in our wake, and we walked out satisfied customers. (Sorry Men's clothes dude, for the Fitting Room mess)

I had to return and had called the night before because there was a slight problem with a piece of clothing. Jason in the men's department found a replacement and set it aside till I came the next day to pick it up. Great service!

Many clothing and footwear items for all ages. Linen department has drapes, sheets, towels and bedding from which to choose. Wait for discounts or coupons. Staff is always ready to help customers.

We were trying to find an outfit for my boyfriend for a wedding. I was in a different part of the store shopping and my boyfriend comes up to me really frustrated because the Asian looking guy that my boyfriend had asked him if the store had any darker purple ties then what were on the racks all he said rudely was "No, sir, we do not." and then he just walks away, and goes and sits on the counter at the customer service station, by the entrance to the rest of the mall. He didn't go to the back and look or continue in any way to help, he just walks away. So I help my frustrated boyfriend find pants and a shirt that matches and we never found a tie that worked. The entire time that we were struggling to put an outfit together he was just sitting on his butt at the customer service station flirting with the blonde co worker. He even walked by twice and never even acknowledges that we were there or tried to help... I will probably never shop in the men's section again. The only positive thing was my boyfriend looked good in the clothes we did find

It is moronic to tell customers to wear masks, when ALL the clerks have masks on down on their chins. When I commented, one moved it up over their mouth but under their nose, and only dirty looks were offered from the two others. It is idiotic and so sad to deal with people who either don’t care or are too unintelligent to understand the common sense issues of personal protection. I used to have a higher opinion of JC Penny folks, but JCP has become just a glorified Walmart clone.
