Our Dog Smokey doesn’t like going to the vet. They always do a great job with him. He had surgery to remove some cysts the did an outstanding job. They even had a sheet explaining what and how to do his after care.

My cat who is not a fan of people or change. She very suddenly was not acting right and screaming in pain. We are not regulars of Animal Medical, our regular vet was ill. They went above and beyond to get us care for our cat! Not to mention how patient and calm they were with a difficult cat! Truly cannot say enough nice things about the staff here! Thank you for being so amazing! I can see why so many people say such great things about them!

The receptionist is rude. We tried giving them a chance. The initial visit was great but then when we had concerns, which were brought up at his first appointment, we tried what they suggested and it didn't work. So it was brought up again and they just didn't seem to listen to our concerns and pushed for testing, which came back negative, as we knew it would. Nothing is more frustrating when your voice is not heard when it comes to your pets health. Not a good fit for us.

Dr. Kniefe (probably misspelled) was excellent with Winston’s recent surgery (neutering and other procedures). The staff always give him lots of attention too! Also, I had a consult with Dr. Kniefe because Cavaliers are prone to several health issues. She came into the treatment room, already prepared with handouts and other information. She answered all of my questions too. I was thoroughly impressed!

Dr. Mechler is very caring and I trust her to take care of my three fur babies. I have also been very satisfied with the other providers if Dr. Mechler has not been available. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My puppy Charlie recently got fixed and because I was confident with Dr. Mechler, I wasn't worried. Her staff was friendly and supportive, going over discharge instructions and answering questions. I would definitely recommend Animal Medical Center!

I am over the road truck driver my dog head fell out of the truck and hit his head on the concrete and his lower jaw was very swollen so I called at 7:30 seeing if I can squeeze into an appointment and the lady told me we are busy so we can’t today and asked me if I was a regular client I said no and understandable and I asked if there was anything I could do and she told me I can go to South Dakota mind you I’m a truck driver so I cannot just get up and go and I told her that so I asked her what I can do possibly to help with his pain and she said go to South Dakota And asked if I Was a regular client again, as if that is going to make it any better, and before hanging up the phone, I had one more question she had told me I won’t do nothing for you just go to South Dakota and hang out. Just very terrible and rude so I called the vet down the street and they got me in right away and I are the nicest recommend them.

I took our dog Miley to be spayed, our Miley recently had loss his master and she was grieving badly along with my husband and I, he was my brother in law, the whole staff starting from the front office and to the Doctors are very welcoming and knew how to handle Miley, I will always be grateful 🙏 i strongly recommend them.

Something attacked my cat on Saturday night. I couldn't reach my regular vet on Sunday, but this vet had two vets on call (one for large animals and one for pets), and she answered the phone right away. She saw my cat within 30 minutes of my call. Considering my cat's injuries and the emergent situation, their prices were reasonable. She was very kind and gentle with my cat, and he's already doing a lot better. I recommend this vet.

I have had cats all my life and Dr. Mark Rees and Dr. Wendy Rees are the absolute best vets we’ve ever had care for our fur babies. Alway thorough, kind and gentle with our babies. The front staff are amazing as well and very knowledgeable. I would recommend Animal Medical Center in Spencer to anyone.

Have always had amazing help at Animal Medical Centers! Our first puppy ended up with Parvo and they took such great care of her and 5 years later she weighs 90 pounds and you would never guess she went through all of that! We also have two other dogs and they always give the best of care! They make sure to explain everything they have done and what we need to do at home as well. Would highly recommend this Vet clinic to anyone!

One of the few veterinary hospitals in my area that sees 'exotic' pets *house rabbit*.They fit me in even though I have never been there before and even alerted me that I could come earlier when they had a cancelation.The staff was warm and friendly and the veterinarian was very knowledgeable and helpful.I will be sure to make this one of the go to veterinary clinics for my rabbit in the future.

I am so grateful for them. Our puppy got hit by a car on Sunday and they were right there to help and were so nice to work with they gave us time that we needed. He unfortunately didn't make it but I am happy he was able to go in peace with there nice staff around. Thanks again for your help on Sunday!! It really meant a lot to us!

We have a new pup and have been seeing the vet's here and in Hartley. Now of course the vets in Spencer are terrific. Very friendly and do a great job. The pup made it through her checks great and each time she went for shots she was very receptive to the shots and her checks. O yes and she didn't want to leave without her treat. Whatever you have they will be the best in the area. Thank you guys for all you do.

All staff is very helpful. Dr. Mark Rees has been our vet for nearly 20 years. He is compassionate and always provides care options for all of our pets. He takes a down to earth, no nonsense approach to things. Very easy to talk to.
