Pricing tricky and way to high.Absolutely NOT competitive.Leading the way to higher prices.Have taken money from the wages of the workers. Absolutely disgusting.NO MORE "SMILES IN EVERY ISLE".Do as much shopping away from HyVee as you can. My first favorite is,***ALDI***Their off brands are NOT second to any name brands.Try the tomato soup. It is really excellent, for half the price. I buy it by the case, and use it for snacking.Fruit and vegetables are always ripe and ready to eat. No more hard, green, bananas.

Great place for grocery shopping, and the staff are very approachable and polite. However, my only criticism would be that sometimes the attendants up front get too comfortable chatting with each other to the point they won't notice if you need help. Was at self-service for 5 minutes one afternoon with the red light on above for assistance. I looked right at the attendant the entire time she was laughing with a coworker talking. When she finally noticed she scanned her card and reset it for me , she didn't say anything and went right back to chatting again. Otherwise, it's a great store.

I'm not sure who the young millennial is that works on the wine and spirit side on Sundays, but he's rude as hell. His buddies come in and they're joking around like they're standing on an inner city street corner. He clearly does not like interacting with the customers. Get a professional adult in there that's customer oriented.

Went there for dinner Sunday at 5:30 . I had some ribs which they were stone cold. I believe the only warm thing in this meal was the Gravy on the mashed potatoes which the smashed potatoes were cold too. And then I tried Fried rice from the Chinese section. Which was so hard it wasn’t even done right. 🤢

I've shopped Hy-Vee my entire life. It's always been my first choice for most of my grocery needs. Unfortunately I will not be returning to a Hy-Vee store and no one else I'm anyway acquaintances will neither. Long story short. There isn't always a helpful smile in every aisle. They treat their employees horribly. As I can personally attest to one of the stores employees having recently fathered a prescious baby girl that sadly passed away about a month after her birth. It's been about three months since she was brought into this world. Her greiving father an employee of this store was given the chance to put up a memorial pamphlet along side others who had were honoring children that got their wings too early. He was ridiculed by management telling him his pictures of himself his wife and his sweet girl fighting for her life were photoshopped. This is a disgusting accusation. To accuse someone of faking the death of a newborn. And right after christmas no less.

Wanted to order breakfast, was told by by Julie that they had a special order, and it would be a while before they had time to take my order. Went back in 10 minutes and Julie again told me they didn't have time right now. I left and will probably never come back.

I went through the aisle doing my normal grocery shopping looking for the deals. There were white signs on some of the products saying "BarS classic hotdogs" MEMBER PRICE .99$ NON-MEMBER $1.28. Oh cool, I'm a member I have my Hy-Vee Card...so I grab up 3 packs and went through out the store grabbing good deals. I got to the self check out I scared my card 1st and proceeded to ring up my stuff. I seen a few item was NOT ringing right...but I thought nothing of it (you know how some registers wait till the end of your transaction before it takes your stuff off (gives ya that discount). Si I paid with my EBT and receipt printed. I looked at it walking slowly and NOTHING came off I spent $122.00. I ASK lady and she told me that" you have to be a member" ... I said " I am a member i have my card"... she said 'no a new member"... "but I am a member" I said back. She pointed to a tent and said "it's a new Hy-Vee Reward perks card you have to sign up for" I TOLD HER "THE SIGN NEEDS TO EXPLAIN better then what it does cause I've spent ALL my EBT on what I though was a good deal. " IM SO PI$$ED!!!

This store always what I need. There hot food that is cooked and ready to eat has managed to saves a night or two when dinner plans fell through. You can buy a complete meal here.

Their motto, "A friendly smile in every aisle' still holds true and each time I shop at Hy-Vee I know I can find what is on my list and I more often will find a good sale in the fresh produce section. Although I don't shop there exclusively it's one of my favorite places to shop for groceries.

The store was fine and the people helpful. I was leaving when my cart wheel fell in a hole outside the door, flipped over, and dumped all my purchases in the dirty snow. I at the same time fell into it and cut my leg and arm. I alerted management and hope it will be fixed. Thank you to the cart gathering guy (I didn't catch his name) who was quick to help me and very friendly.

Food was reasonable priced but our table had a "sanitized for your safety" sign like it was cleaned but the table was dirty with crumbs and stuff stuck to it. We went to move to another table with the same sign and it had crumbs and something sticky on it. Almost every other table had plates piled on top of it. Dirtiest hyvee food I have been to.

I emailed you as per your request on January 3rd, 2023, and you have not responded. So what was the point of wasting more of my time?Have had many issues getting over charged then having issues getting them to honor their price guarantee. I've had to deal with drunk people being belligerent and then the manager standing right there did and said nothing to them instead she talked down to me. I've had employees fefuse to honor the price guarantee because their manager wasn't there and had left for the day. Multiple occasions my frozen and refrigerated foods thawed and warmed up dealing with incompetent employees.Had many issues with poor produce, mis labeled, and incorrect prices.I was given the incorrect instructions for a medication and I was starting to overdose, luckily I went to see a new Dr. and they immediately recognized the instructions were incorrect and the side effects I was having were progressing into life threatening.Started dealing with the district manager and after a couple issues stopped answering, and returning my calls, then started having lower level management contact me, and only bout half the issues got addressed.After a couple more months of trying to get them to rectify the issues they caused almost a year ago, the store manager wouldn't do anything because he was new to the store, the district manager claims I'm making it all up(in email). These reviews go to the store and thats why they dont get properly handled. Contacted corporate office customer service and they were suppose to have district VP contact me.. after weeks of waiting and calling to ask why I haven't received any contact the were going to escalate it higher up which they never did.This company is trash, lots of their employees fit right in with that category. They have been over charging me for almost two years straight multiple times a month before this issue occurred to finally spark the review about a year ago. Then how they handled the situations, and on top of it my medicine.This company lost a customer of 30yrs, and this customer is more than willing to share facts, and proof of this horrible business to anyone that is interested in knowing the truth about the sketchy practices of Hy-Vee

Hy vee as a company has just drastically gone down hill in the past 6 months. Moving to self check out while the employees stand around on their phones watching the customer struggle. Now the store closes at 10pm. Unreal! What a joke. I'm done with this chain. It went from a descent business to a corporate joke.

Almost every item is $1.00 more than other stores. Some items even more. But selection is very good. We’ve got 4 HyVees in our town, they don’t have the same stock in each store so you need to call or go online to insure they stock the item you’re looking for.
