I was curious to see the giant statue of Pocahontas, representing the famous Indian princess. After just 40 minutes of driving, I saw Pocahontas that was built along the road.There she was, stood tall to welcome the weary traveler into town.The statue is so close to the road that you can stand in the highway to take a picture.

Sign the guest book in the teepee and pop into the cabin for some local history. A neighbor lady saw us and came over to offer to take a photo of our group.

This was so cool. A perk to have picnic tables in the teepee for people to rest. We had been on a motorcycle most of the day and was nice to find a shaded area to rest! Way cool place to look around

Very iconic mid-century roadside attraction in a nice little park. And two friendly Iowa people stopped and asked how we liked their Pocahontas- love that small- town pride!

The town is working hard to make this area a nice place to hang out! There is a cabin from 1933, and alot of art from locals. There is also alot of historical pieces from the town here. Everything tells a nice story about the locals. The local folks are friendly and are willing to help when you need it. Wonderful roadside area and town.

Some tourist traps are better than others. This one is solidly OK. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it, but it's worth stopping the car if you're driving by.

My kids were so excited about stopping here to see the giant pocahontas. They also have a cute flower garden, a log cabin with mementos of the towns history, and a picnic area.

It's a large statue of (and an artistically poor depiction of) an Indian woman that had nothing to do with the town that bears her name. About as interesting as the world's largest ball of twine.
