It’s a Super 8, so don’t be expecting the Ritz. The positive sides are that the staff was ok. The room was on the larger side, and the water was hot. I didn’t try any breakfast they offered in the morning. The location was convenient to where I was going for a work assignment. The negative side was that it was very loud there with the people staying there long term talking loud and their kids running the hallway. Paper thin walls, no blankets, and refrigerator didn’t get very cold. I didn’t sleep on the bed so I can’t speak about comfort. I brought my own bedding and slept on sofa in the room. I wouldn’t go back, but it could have been worse.Nearby activities: Not many. Drive 20 miles to Grimes. There is more going on thereSafety: I felt safe even though there were people living there at the hotelWalkability: Need a carFood & drinks: Fast food close like Pizza Hut, Burger King and McDonald’s. Breakfast was almost non existent other than honey buns and a couple bananas. Coffee if you get there in time. Auto coffee maker out of order, snack machine almost empty, laundry room out of order. Clearly noted at desk "no cooking in room or $100 fine and you will be asked to leave. Walking by one room I saw hot plates, crock pots and electric skillets. The second floor smelled like a lunch truck only worse. Saw one person carry a 40 lb bag of rice up the stairs. Our room and one we visited had sheetrock repairs being made but not yet painted. The three star rating is two stars off. If you planning a trip keep driving. The uptown restaurants were great as were the staff. Will go again but find another place to stay.Forgot to mention the pop up camper east of hotel with junk all around it, and the trash can outside east door completely full of food cartons also smelled bad.

Stay here three times for work, first room looks like it was never finished being cleaned. The floor was falling apart in bathroom. Second stay was ok the whole places just needs some tlc. Third stay was terrible place is basically empty and get stuck with loud neighbors. Worst part is it has a shared door that does nothing I hear everything they are saying.

Exterior trash cans and were all overflowing and wreaked of cigarette butts. Someone was living in the parking lot in a popup camper. The front desk was not manned 24 hours, the office was locked. People were locked out of their room near 1:00 am, screaming in the halls, beating or doors and walls because they could not get help from hotel staff and no way to contact anyone. Towel racks and shower safety rack was coming off the walls. The television displayed "no connection" on all channels. The floor was disgusting to walk across, felt like it had sand on it. The appearance of hotel staff was very unprofessional.

I stayed here last minute due to an unplanned trip. I was able to book a room at 4 in the morning without any problems. I will state that the walls are thin. I know this because someone who previously stayed in the room next to mine set the alarm clock for 6 AM and we heard it go off for hours. Also, a few of the outlets were not working and the tub had a slow drain.

Had to ask for another set of towels upon arrival only one set in room when room was booked for a couple. Found hairs in bathtub. Husband had to jiggle handle or something so toilet would shut off. No city map in room drawers or available at front desk or lobby. Little to no info on local businesses or restaurants. When asking front desk attendant he wasn't from area and recommended fast food. Coffee pot had not been cleaned. Breakfast was grab and go. Prices higher on weekend. A little too pricy for a Motel 8 and not as clean as should've been.

I'm currently staying here doing an extended stay for a couple weeks. Management is horrible an rude very rude. I went down to the front desk at 7:40am nobody is there so i use the phone to call an ask if I can get a couple towels the man on the phone will literally ask you what you need an then he will get mad an say oh my God an hang up. Then come out a mean mug me while handing me the towels.

Our 3 stays over the past few years progressively got worse. The mildew smell just got worse each visit and the staff seemed to be sad all the time kind of mopey no smiles of any kind on any of our visit. But the maintenance guy was pleasent

A lot of running in the hallway, the mattress was in need of replacement, someone elses hairs in the bathtub, hairdryer didn't work, all the coffee was decaf, the refrigerator didn't cool, way over priced for what you get and needed to call someone to come to front desk to return the key. Don't waste your money here!

I stayed for 5 days and they never cleaned the beds or anything. I always had to go stairs for towels and bathroom paper. When I was eating the lady would always come to take food

Have stayed here a lot while in the area for work. Rooms are clean, quiet and big. Breakfast was good, coffee was great. While stay again when in the area.

It's a shame Super 8's only have 1 handicapped room & w/only 1 bed, how's a family supposed to all stay together as a family in a room w/only 1 bed?? Come on Super 8, family's need 2 beds..I guess if I would have fell taking a shower I could have sued & become rich..

The service has been fine. Rooms are clean, easy to find. Not that great of a selection at breakfast but other than that it has been a good place to stay.

Place was clean smelled good didn't kill my allergies quite all night decent Lil breakfast my only complaint was the filter in the AC unit wasn't clean but that was an easy fix for me
