I have had NOTHING but GREAT experiences with these guys. I have bought 2 crossbows from them, the second because I purchased an entry level crossbow at first to see if I even liked it and when I discovered I LOVE crossbow hunting I went back and purchased a Ravin from these guys. Fast forward a couple years and my Ravin cables need repaired.........during rut of all times! These guys had my bow repaired and ready to hunt within 24 hours!! Damn rock stars in my book! Keep up great work and service and I will always come back to support you and send all my friends your way too! Thank you guys for saving my season!!

I bought a new bow last week from here and service was great. I ended up having a problem with the drop away rest so I went back in today. Matt fixed the rest, corrected a couple of small issues, repaired an arrow for me, and threw in some new field points to correct a target issue (arrows sticking in the bag) I was having. All at no charge. Great store, great service, and great people. Support a small local business and stop by Palo Outdoors.

Customer service is hit and miss at best. Every time I go there, I see a new face behind the counter. Scheels in Iowa City have better service, and the staff there are way more knowledgeable. Chances of me going back to Palo Outdoors are slim.

I've heard great things about this bowshop for years. Thought I'd finally give them a try. I needed a new string and thought I'd have them put on a new drop away rest and single pin sight too. The staff said they could replace the string and general setup in less then week and they would let me know. I was impressed! A week and a half goes by no phone call. I call, they told me it was ready for pick-up. Turns out all they did was replace the string. The drop away wasn't tied in and the bowstring wasn't even timed with my cams correctly. Went back the next day to have them fix it and tie in my peep sight. Turns out ALL their bow staff are out hunting till next week. Very poor service in my opinion.

I would give Palo outdoors a 10 star review if it was possible. No matter what my hunting needs Matt and his staff always go out of there way to accommodate my needs yet still providing excellent customer service. As a local business owner it’s refreshing to be provided the same excellent service I do. Highly recommend

Personal experience? Sucked. My boyfriend ordered strings for his bow. ... 2months ago, they had the lame excuse of why it was taking so long, said to give them a week they would call us back when the strings came in.... that was 3weeks ago. So my boyfriend called them and they were lacking in proper customer service attitude (I work retail so I kinda have an understanding in this area) and oh low and behold his strings are there.... thanks for not letting us know..... yeah.... sorry but I won't be recommending this place.

First time going here today, took my 13 year old son and 3 different guys offered help and info on anything we looked at. Super nice staff and extremely knowledgeable. Younger guy helped my son out a ton on trying out a compound bow for the first time, encouraged him to shoot it on the range downstairs and to take as many shots as he wanted. Can't say enough about how great the experience was, will definitely be driving here anytime we need something.

Great locally owned shop just outside of CR in Palo. Knowledgable and friendly staff. Great prices. Will have almost anything you need for hunting fishing or shooting, plus more. If you have never been there I highly recommend them rather than the big chain stores. You wont regret a visit.

I took my crossbow out to have them check to see if I needed a new string. They said I did and they would order one. They thought maybe two weeks. I called back in a week and half they said the string is not in yet. I called back the following week to check on it and they said it would be done in a couple hours. When I went to pick it up they said it didn’t need a sting they just rewrapped the string. They had it for two weeks and all it needed was to be wrapped. Pretty sure they never did order a string. I was told by a couple people to not go there but I thought I would keep my business local. Not again, I’ll go to Scheel’s next time.

Awesome store. May look small but can get most of what you may need. Palo mini mart is connected to palo outdoors so you can get your outdoors needs like camping, fishing,hunting along with gas and food .so kinda cool . check them out qhen your in the area it worth it

I use to go to Midwest Shooting Supply, mostly because they were closer, I knew a guy that worked there and they were very helpful. But when they moved to their new location it was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. They're rude, lazy, disrespectful, you name it. I decided I would see who's out there that would like my business. I tried Palo Outdoors and I haven't been disappointed. They are courteous, knowledgeable and they either have (or will get me) what I need without any excuses. From now on I'll go to these guys for my business. It's a little further, but it's worth not going to Midwest. Midwest can go to hell.
