Love coming here. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. They always have a great selection and ready to help if needed. I am there probably 6-7 times a week and I’m never dissatisfied! Great store and great employees. Especially the new lady Shari. She is super sweet and personable.

This particular DG has a hard time keeping good staff. So the stocking and organization suffers constantly. They get good people that start to make it better and then they must get burnt out and move on. Shame. This store gets pretty busy at times.

Very dirty outdated and cluttered. Love the business but this one in particular needs alot of updates and tender loving care and do not get me started on the ladies room. I thinki I'd rather wet myself than use their ladies room every again.

I know its not the employees fault, i know cooperate sends way more product than needed. But i cant stand when there is 50 carts and boxes blocking all the aisles. To the point you just say never mind about half the items you wanted because its like a maze.

One time I went to the bathroom and there was no soap, not even an empty dispenser. One cashier has an attitude and spends too much time talking about what your trying to buy, and is constantly showing off her ring like I care. Also I was tricked into buying several boxes separately, because I thought the way they were displayed, I would be getting all of them for the one price. Very embarrassing.

All in all this is your typical Dollar General. A few less carts in the isles at this one in Nevada, Ia. Since they brought the guy over from the Huxley store things have improved. Shelves are stocked more regularly, and the store is much cleaner. The girls are always good at reminding you of up coming sales you might be interested in. I will say this DG seems to have wider isles and doesn't feel so claustrophobic.

Great to grab one thing... If it's actually stocked on the empty shelves (not the carts in the middle of the aisles)... Only to wait 10 (yes ten) minutes in line because there's only one cashier... The other three workers you saw earlier must be too busy stocking those shelves?!?Unfortunately it's all there is in Nevada, especially on a Sunday, so they aren't forced to improve much. -Was put under new management summer 2016 and looked like it might turn around. Oh well.

Love love love this store! Everyone is kind, helpful, and if I request an item they get it for me, for example, Little Cesars dog food has FILETS but very few stores carry it. They carry them boxed multiples so I can save money. They carry DreamBone products which my dogs love, that helps their digestion and teeth. The manager is funny and always greats me like a friend.

Tried calling several times in a matter two hours and got no one to pick up the phone. So had to go waste a trip to find out if they had green poster board. When I walked in the teenager behind the counter was standing there picking her nails. I asked if they are allowed to answer their phone to which she replied "well yea, but we were busy stocking" ( I had just called 5 mins previous to my arrival). I asked her ok well do you have green poster board and she replied that she didn't know and I would have to check the office aisle. Of course they didn't have any so my trip was wasted on not getting the products I needed and bad attitudes

Was kinda sketchy 6 months ago, but has much better service now. Always clean store - it's a discount place but the customer service is so much better now. Employees seem glad to help. Somebody hired the right people.

Back in 2005 ish I started working at this DG and it was one of the nicest cleanest most organized DG I had ever been in. I became a key manager and they sent me to the Ames Toledo ( worst place ever ) and Story City stores to help out. Like the Nevada store Story City was fantastic ( our assistant from Nevada took it over ) then the then Manager left. I was no longer there and the store went to a very dark place. Happy to say although it's still not close to where it should be it is on its way. Hopefully. Staff are very friendly and helpful but abtad bit lazy

Very dirty and cluttered. Have to wait forever for cash register clerk. They are always somewhere else stocking. Someone could easily walk out with merchandise.

I called the man at the register and he told me if we downloaded the western Union app we could receive money so we drove out there to be told no, it has to be sent and received by the app. Needless to say we are not happy and may never go back.

Visually, it might not be the perfect place to shop, but with the really helpful and kind workers plus the great prices on everything, I always stop to shop there whenever I'm in town
