Some of the best pizza I've ever had! The friendly staff made it that much better. 5 star service easily! I'll be back often. Highly recommend this shop!Edit: I got the warm tuna combo w/pepperjack/American with jalapeños and a cherry cheesecake and a tiramasu thing for my lady. We loved it. Now I eat lunch at Pete's Kitchen every day. My name is Jesse, and I'll probably see you soon. 😅

Owner is on an ego trip. Harasses people who give one star reviews, even going to the extent of posting in a Facebook group for ranting about them. I’m a part of said group and it’s disgusting to see a business owner act like a child. Has a legal record to match (look him up).Would not recommend anyone to support this business. Food might be good but if it’s owned by someone like this, who is to actually say. If I could give 0 stars, I would.Patiently waiting for the blasting he’ll give here as a reply. Check back and see what kind of person he actually is.

Great old restaurant been there in Mason City forever.Best Pizza homemade, and subtype sandwiches could not eat the whole sandwich saved half for the next day. Piles of meat on them.Very reasonable pricing, sandwich and pop for less than $10.

Great deli experience. House made Italian sausage is second to none. Recommend the Italian sausage sandwich. Gyro and club sandwichs were awsome as well as the pizza I had to try. Crew is super friendly. Don't forget dessert.Parking: Street parking and plenty of it

I have enjoyed Pete’s kitchen since a jit, If you have never had the Pleasure of Pete’s hot pastrami combo you’re definitely missing out. For sure one of the best local joints around. Highly recommend to anyone! A staple in Mason city and great history posted all over the restaurant. Thank you Pete’s for consistently showing and bringing love to the community!

Pete is an excellent baker and makes everything homemade. I had the beef/lamb gyro, which was absolutely delicious. I also tried the pastrami, which was so good due to Pete’s homemade bread (it’ll remind you of your grandma’s homemade bread). Highly recommend! Support your small town businesses and quit eating so much McDonald’s folks. These are great people with great food and great prices!

Absolutely loved this place! Very friendly and the sandwiches were yummy! My husband had the pastrami sandwich and I had the sausage and marinara sandwich. We took home some carrot cake and an eclair for later. I recommend Pete's Kitchen to anyone who wants good quality food that is all home made.

Stopped at Pete's Kitchen for lunch take out today...great as always. Had the gyro...again. They are the second best I have ever had. Heard that because of the road work business was down. Looked like a bunch of heard the same thing. They were very busy but worth the wait. Stop in when you can to help keep your local small businesses open and profitable.

Good food, friendly service. Staff asked if it was my first visit and explained others on the menu. I ordered the Italian sausage sandwich. The sandwich was very good and was a very good portion. More than what I would normally eat for lunch. Purchased an eclairs as the deserts looked delicious and it didn't disappoint. Worth the trip to find the location.

I love the hot pastrami combos, and tuna is my second choice. I also like the lamb beef gyros with sour cream cucumber sauce. Grab some carrot cake and baklava and it's a meal. The family plans to close the business in coming months and have shortened business hours. The place will be missed. Feel free to get Gyros at the Phoenix when it opens soon.

Googled while passing through MC so this was my first visit. Very friendly small sandwich shop. Wanted to try their Gyro. I love Gyro sandwiches so I have very high expectations. Although the sandwich was robust all the fixings were very bland. From coast to coast the best Gyro I've ever eaten was in Kalispell, MT!

Great food for the price. We went shortly after it was posted that construction had slowed business considerably. Apparently everyone got the message as there was a line. Only seating for about 6-8 people if I remember correctly.

Best place to grab old style pizza and a sub or desert. Sit enjoy the atmosphere with amazing people and owners! Always a pleasant visit!!
