The store in general is great, but I think the store floor needs to be cleaned in my opinion ( even the Casey’s in Nora Springs, IA had a cleaner floor). But there is a good selection of items. There was Zero balloons at all but at least if there were there would be a net. I hope this store can overcome this. -Shy_Gun670

BEST DOLLAR GENERAL EVER! The most clean, well stocked store we have ever been to! The workers, are so sweet, friendly and kind. We continuously go back just because of this! Hard to find great places with friendly employees, this one hits it right on the head!

Very nice service from employees and very affordable prices on items such as makeup candles food clothes ect very nice place to also get great low prices on things for all your needs.Edit i went to dollar general tonight and the lady was very rude. This had me crying all the way home. Treated all the other customers with a smile and how are you tonight did you find everything ok? Have a great night to everyone else. Then said hi in a really rude tone and said nothing else and i just thought that was very rude. Not good customer service at all. You don't treat customers that way in my opinion.

Very nice and friendly employees. Abby is a delightful, helpful, and knowledgeable employee. She always has a smile for every customer. The store carries anything I may need when stopping in for a necessity I may have forgotten.Cluttered and a bit messy in some aisles. If they were allowed more payroll dollars, they would be able to have the number of staff regularly needed to do store recovery.

They have definitely cleaned up the place...long line though and there were two ladies behind the counter and only one was ringing customers. It might have been s good idea for the other lady to jump on at least till the line was down. They usually do.

My daddy loves this store. He says he has a special friend who works here. But he also said I’m not allowed to tell mommy about his special friend. Daddy’s special friend is 19 she told me when she was babysitting me. We went there to get supply’s for my dads 56 birthday. I wonder if she’s gonna meet mommy at the party!

The gentleman running the cash register was friendly and helpful however the store was trashed with things thrown about and the overall store was in terrible need of cleaning. The floors filthy and a layer of dust which had settled upon items which hadn't moved in some time.

Denise the manager at the N.Federal mason city Iowa location is extremely rude and should not be an employee for Dollar General. I tried to return a medical item just bought an hour before with the receipt because it was faulty and she put her hand up to my face and said I was disgusting that I should've expected that since it was a just a dollar. I asked for her name and told her I was going to make a complaint, she followed me out the door like she was going to attack me and told me I was never allowed back. Horrified!!!! Never going back!! Guess I couldn't even if I wanted to because I guess I am "not allowed to ever come back" now. I don't know how vicious rude people like that get hired, I've never had a problem and love going to dollar general but I guess I should expect for the things not to work there !

If it weren't for the good deals they frequently have, I would have given them 1 star. The employee turn-over rate is high, very high. I notice new workers every time I go there, and I visit multiple times a week. Just about everyone that works there does Meth. Whether it's their jawbone clenching, mouth stretching, or lack of teeth, it's apparent they all get high together

Great location with a lot of options. Parking is also super easy since you can park in the street OR in the parking lot right next to it. You can always get a spot here. Sometimes the store can get a little messy but they seem to be understaffed so that's understandable.

I want to give a shout out and a wonderful thank you to Melissa. A friend a mine watched her help my 87 year old mom, who lives at the Manor, work thru trying to pay with her debit card,. My poor mom's mind couldn't remember pass code, she got frustrated, and probably embarrassed, but with sweet kind patience, Melissa helped her thru it. The next customer who watched all this was my friend and told Melissa "God Bless her in helping that little ole lady, Melissa said, its ok, she must not have felt good today. So grateful there are Melissa's in this world in helping and understanding its not so easy getting old....THANK YOU Melissa..

Was a bit of a mess due to inventory prep so there was merchandise everywhere and alot of empty shelves but it was not employees fault. The cashier was very nice!

Dolla General is my spot!!! It's the plAce to go when ur lol on bucks an need to pick up something's.....they have everything from ur kitchen utensils to cook an grub on....to cloths in an T-Shirts an socks in variety of colors......they got the food to fix to feed ur family no matter the size ta the applications to use to clean up afterwords.....an don't forget bout there huge selection of headphones....wallets an phone's for ur on the go life style.....Download there app to keep informed bout penny deals an upcoming sales an money savers......simply put it's that place to go.....Kept 💯
