Went to Central Lock to get a couple extra house keys. Service was prompt, knowledgable, price very reasonable. Took in an auto key the next day. This key was for an older vehicle, key was somewhat "worn". Same story. All keys work "smooth as silk" Will definitely use this business again if need arises.

What a great deal..the guy was so attentive, and so professional, the business really cares about their customers..I'm so happy with the results..I was afried, to spend the $$ as I'm retired...etc.etc. so dug and dug for keys in car and in all areas .(i left keys in car as battery was dead, so waited for help../keys gone. 😥). but ended up calling them back. It was all good..I'm happy. Great place!Thank you

Excellent service. We were on our way south from northern Wisconsin, realized forgot extra set of keys to camper, Ryan at central lock accommodated us promptly even though they had closed already!! Excellent service, excellent product!! 👍👍

They are quick and efficient! I locked myself out of my car at hy-vee right before a severe thunderstorm warning and we’re able to get me into my car before the storm hit. The technician also was kind enough to teach me about insurance possible covering the cost (it did!) thank you, central lock!!

I feel like they ripped me off. I call several places and price is a huge gap between them they charge me $195 just for 2 key for my motorcycle and they wanted another $75 for the gas cap key and helmet lock 🤦🏽‍♂️ I went online and the kit of inition switch whit 2 keys gas cap and helmet lock all together for $180 brand new. I will never go there again sorry 😞

This is a long review. I apologise.. I hate long reviews too, I hate bad service and arrogance , so it's necessary in this case to prove my point to the owner that , it's a big world, he's not very smart, and very insignificant.. Here is my story..I'm from out of town and had a very common, simple lock that needed a key made for it . It was for a relatives' home I was visiting..It's a 5 min job... " CC lock, 3 keys total." ( Locksmith jargon) They wrote the order, got my name.. ph,#..I mentioned it needed to be picked open, I didn't have a key. Got a demeaning look like," how dare a common person mention the word Pick to a locksmith!" .Then I got the ,"Can you come back we are real busy" line..(.not another car in the lot, or customer in the store, but whatever..). said they would have it done in an hour..... Left and returned after an hour... Sat and waited.. and waited... So, this shouldn't be a big deal.. but I spent 25 years in the locksmith world.. In a large city... This mom and pop shop is a very typical.. very novice non evolving store... 3 inexperienced kids running around , 1 kid working and a arrogant owner with attitude... So , to confirm my past tenure as a person that taught customer service along with sales and technical services, with an extensive hardware and locksmithing background, here is a little residential hardware lingo.. The owner and employees of Central Lock should understand, but probably don't.. The lock I had can't be easily replaced . Otherwise I'd have to cross drill and edge drill, over the existing 1 5/8" x 7/8" bores on a 50 year old wood door to install a new lockset requiring a 2 1/8" x 1 " re drilling of the door .. I brought in a Weiser A500 T ( that gives you the series of lock, function, style, and backset) in US3 or ANSI 605 finish , whatever you prefer, vintage 1968 residential keyed lockset. Falcon "E" key section.. could of been a Falcon lock, but it didn't matter , sister companies at the time, . .The lock had never been lubed, had a broken return spring , and I took it in with the 2 connecting post screws , so they wouldn't be lost , ( try to find a special screw from 1968.). Got it back with a broken return spring, just as dirty as I brought it in, no connecting screws and 2 Large Bow keys... Excellent Customer Service! And It was the owner! He made the 3rd key with a different key bow..really? The owner can't match 3 keys ? Begrudgeingly got my connecting screws back after I asked for them... He never mentioned the broken spring..even tho they probably didn't have the part, new or used. Never said" sorry it took so long".. never took the time to clean the lock while it was being serviced.. It's a dying trade anyway.. there used to be blacksmiths once upon a time.... 8 hour training seminar diplomas mounted all over the store don't mean anything to anyone other than another locksmith..it doesn't matter how talented you think you are... Having a business with no vision, that holds on to the past with bad customer service, arrogance , and incompetent employees..it won't be long . The demise is inevitable... won't be back unless it's a last resort..
