In our small, rural town, we still have 3 large groceries, and a couple of Ma & Pa type of stores, so quite a range of choices for shopping. While Hy-Vee used to be my favorite, mostly because they're employee-owned, I got tired of having to always go to at least 2 stores because they refuse to carry everything I need and want. I have talked to them multiple times about it, and there's always about a 50/50 chance that they're going to actually follow through for me. So, except on rare occasions, I've stopped shopping there altogether. It just doesn't make sense anymore.

Definitely a really nice store, has all the basics, really friendly staff. Decent prices and great produce ! Wish their alcohol selection was just a bit bigger, but the next door hyvee bottle shop kinda takes care of that issue !!Could do with a larger meat selection but other than that I enjoy this store !!

Smaller Hy-Vee with less variety than a metro Hy-Vee, but has a good selection of the basics and an occasio al surprise for small town Iowa. Friendly employees and a clean store

The employees here go over and beyond for their customers. My illnesses can cause many unannounced mobility issues as well as dizziness. This happened today in one of the aisles. One employee brought me a motorized cart. Then another employee helped move my stuff over from my cart and even got me something from the top shelf!! Again, a 3rd employee got me another item I could not get to. After checking out, a 4th employee, the cashier even walked me out to my vehicle and took the cart back in. I can’t say thank you enough. I have no idea what I would have done without their help! Such a great team, go Knoxville HyVee!!

It’s an okay store…good selection of products, generally nice staff…be nice to see more adults working there though.However it’s so frustrating that EVERY time I go in there, there’s one checkout open and the self-checkouts are ALWAYS closed, what’s the point of having them? I went in to grab lunch on my break, one checkout and a huge line. I prefer self-checkout for this very reason.I’ll probably just go to Fareway from now on.

Prices can be high if you don't hit a sale. The produce tends to be not so fresh. They do have the best donuts in town. Update, they know break down donuts in to three categories & one donut can cost you $2. The gourmet pecan & brown sugar is way to sweet it also has a cream filling. A dozen of donuts can cost you $20 or more, boo.

Always a great deal at Hy Vee. Too bad they put in self checkouts. I don't work there so I won't use them. But I shop there because they still have cashiers and I get a decent deal.My most recent experience brings up a topic that seems to be a thing of the past. The young man that waited on me at the register didn't appear to know how to properly, an respectfully count out my change. He just crammed it in my hand. I wasn't impressed.

Always cycling through managers which then is a rearrange of the store so hard to find things with out walking the entire store. It also always seems to smell like bad meat counter when walking in. Be careful so many times get home and food has expired or been bad. We try to avoid or go HyVee in metro that seemed to be stocked better.

As I bagged my own groceries... one employee was on her phone, another employee stood in "his lane" and watched, while my checker started on the next customer. If I'm at Aldi, I expect Aldi prices.

4 6 pack 1 case 16 Oz bottles 7 up on endcap marked 7.99. This is misleading, I was informed the price was for the cans setting on the floor in front of the bottles!Deceiving should not be allow!!

Store was busy. They were quick to open additional check out lines. The pharmacy was even busier. Long lines, requests were partially completed and found myself back in line waiting to get the rest of my request completed. The store was out of a lot of items that were on sale. 3 different brands of frozen vegetables and can't find frozen peas. Disappointing visit to this store.

Clean and well lit. Offers good sales occasionally. All but one staff member have always been kind and helpful. A middle to higher end of the road for your budget. Differing prices between store locations less than 50 miles apart is confusing at times. Offers price match when I bring the ad in too. That’s nice.

Great customer service as is expected from HyVee. It's small town feel just adds to the experience.I especially love the team at the pharmacy. While we have struggled a few times in getting my son's prescription filled (at no fault of their own) the staff almost always remembers our family and they will bend over backwards to get the issue resolved ASAP.THAT isthe exceptional customer service that keeps me and my family coming back and referring friends to go as well!

Love the store it has a big open feel. We are new to this area. Employees are always nice and helpful. I have used Hy Vee Pharmacy for close 20 years and have always been satisfied by the service and prices. However the system for the pharmacy drive thru is a slow process and it takes a long time to pick up a prescription that is ready for pick up. It’s NOT the employees that I’m referring to. I really hope the pharmacy drive thru could get an upgrade!

Highly recommend online shopping. I order on Sunday and pickup on my way home from work on Monday. Huge time saver and also money saver. I spend less because I stick to my list and am not tempted to buy extras. They do an excellent job every time. They keep me informed if items are out of stock and give me options to replace. The customer service is EXCEPTIONAL!And let's not forget Hy-Vee Fuel Saver, money back in your gas tank. How cool is that.

The gals in the wine shop are always friendly, helpful, and full of knowledge and advice. Also the manager will order your favorite wine if she can. Bonus points for her!In the grocery store, everyone works together well. I do miss the meat manager, as he always had lobster tails ordered for me. But even so, everyone is awesome!

Good customer service, had most of the items i was looking for. Only 4 stars because only 1 cashier working.Edited to 1 start because of now bad customer service. Nothing but teenagers who lie. Tent sale hours and days, was literally told 3 different things. Doesn't matter cause everyone i went out wasn't open cause the person closed it and left early. Whatever, I'll just shop elsewhere.

The employees at this Hy-Vee do an excellent job with their customer service! I always see people smiling and am greeted as I come in the door to shop. People are helpful, there is a nice selection of food and produce.

I stopped in last minute last night and while checking out i witnessed an older man go from mopping floors to bagging a few groceries for an elderly lady. the floor was still somewhat wet and it was also raining outside and the man went out of his way to assist the lady not only across the floor but to her car safely. completely above and beyond his duties without hesitation and not for recognition but simply out of the kindness of his heart.

The store is getting better and better every time we go in there. The management they have is second to none. One thing though I have noticed is the younger cashiers have no clue how to bag groceries correctly. For example putting eggs with frozen meat on top and in a different bag bread on the bottom with heavy things on top. It may seem petty but sometimes it's the little things that stand out. Is there a little training upfront when new hires learn the cashier side of the business?

I shop at Hyvee for nearly all of my groceries I love the friendly people there and it's not too far from my home. They have become an all-around supermarket. They have great sales on a grape jelly and a great restaurant the market as well as oriental food which is all delicious I personally know the chef and know that he is excellent chef.

The store was easy to fine and navigate but went in with my service dog and told I couldn't have her in there. As she my service dog for my serizures and low blood sugar.
