some of the help are always so helpful and happy. There is a couple that are the opposite. They all try hard to keep it neat. I feel some of their prices are too high....like jackets for 8.99. BUT, I noticed she only charged me for a top 5.99 and that seemed more fair. I wish they would post the half price color etc. some of the other stores do that.

I love this thrift shop and have been giving it buisness for a lot time. That being said, the workers there make me feel very uncomfortable. I always donate extra change when thrifting. But i cannot afford to do it everytime. I was told “shame on you” last time i said i couldn’t donate. And another time the worker was very invasive asking me questions about why i can’t afford to donate. Well i donate almost everytime but i do it at the stores where the workers make me feel welcomed. It is very hostile and has hurt my feelings.

This Goodwill store has the Highest Prices I've Ever seen in a thrift store. These are items GIVEN TO THEM. Yet they feel justified in charging $9.00 for a pair of Used jeans or shoes. $3.99 for a used women's?Yes, money is Very Hard to come by, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that, because of the money situation, you don't make it harder for people to buy what they need.I've been shopping in thrift stores, with my mom, since I was 7. I know how to shop and how to look for what you NEED.Key word: NEED

Very busy when I last went on a Saturday afternoon with loads of people per isle, mostly just browsing each isle quickly and then leaving. It's a popular place for sure with lots of people looking for something fun and unique. Despite the crowd the shelves were kept mostly full and restocked fairly fast but you really might do best coming after a rush like after 4pm during dinner if you want a good chance of getting something good without having to battle for it. Felt somewhat similar to a goodwill outlet with how busy it was and with the clothes being not the best and everything unboxed and all over the place. However the workers do work hard at zoning the shelves so they looked somewhat orderly but it's a battle for sure. There was lots of stoneware when I went and collector plates. Some milk glass and Corningware. As far as vintage goes I saw the highest density of older items in the kitchenware section. Everything else was fairly new. For 1.49 a plate and mug you might have a hard time buying smaller plates or smaller mugs feeling like you arent getting as good of a deal, but these are still very low prices and if you check the makers mark on the bottom you can walk out with a set of dishware worth much more than what you paid. Clothes weren't the best and it was clear the racks were picked clean of the best items. Very little vintage clothing and mostly modern. It could be that people just aren't donating good clothes or that more people shop goodwill for clothing items so it's harder to find something good. Mens shoe selection was poor but there was a decent amount of womens shoes of different styles. Compared to other goodwills this one had a larger amount of toys, games, Christmas items, and electronics like lamps. The dvds and cd's were kept on an open shelf versus a display case which was nice for browsing but you absolutely have to check if the dvd is actually in the case because sometimes it's not. That's true for about all the items there, you definitely should inspect everything well. Friendly customer service and there were plenty of cashiers to get people through the line. The workers were very good at identifying when they could help a customer that was ready to checkout. Oh and the bathrooms were clean.

This is a very nice store but for the past several months it almost looks like it is going out of business. The racks are so empty! I understand some people may not be directly donating to this store but with the abundance of other stores in the area, why wouldn’t supply this store from other donations?I was in there yesterday and it literally looked like most stores that have going out of business signs posted outside. One example – the men’s jeans section had four pair of jeans.On the plus side, the store is always very clean and the staff are exceptional.

This place is a complete joke. Management has zero customer service skills and they have very questionable business practices.I’ve been a frequent customer of all the Goodwill’s in the Des Moines metro for several years. My overall experience with Goodwill has been very good. I really enjoy the vast majority of Goodwill’s employees and have gotten along great with them.Today I purchased a piece of furniture at this location. I had to go out of my way to return a few hours later to pick it up. As I was waiting for the employee to bring the piece outside he informed me that they already sold it. I asked the employee if this happens a lot and he told me “every once in a while” like it was normal. I then asked if there was anything he could do for me besides getting a refund and he told me there wasn’t. I then wasted even more time by having to go inside to get my money back.You might want to consider picking up whatever you purchase at that time instead of coming back later. The assistant store manager doesn’t care about wasting anybody’s time, practicing good business, or being professional.

Really solid selection of women's stuff and household goods. Usually some pretty good furniture selection too. Always very clean and dressing rooms are always available. Staff are always super nice and have nice conversation. I scored quite a few favorite pieces from here.

Me and my fiancé used to go here often, unfortunately the last time was several months ago and the abundance of items was severely diminished unfortunately.The staff is friendly, clothes and items are always clean (which is always great to see) though you can sometimes spot an item marked way up just due to an original tag still remaining with the retail price attached.

I've only been to this goodwill on vw drive a couple times but it's going to be my new favorite. I found so much there and it's priced right. I also like how they space clothing out instead of cramed so tight. I don't know if it's intentional or they just don't have as much stuff to put out but it makes it easier to shop. Usually I go to the one on mills civic and last time I went they had things way over priced.

the guy that cash me out at the register I apologize I didn't get his name younger white guy with a long hair a lot of piercings was really friendly and but other than that that was about it. Had people working there like following me around and I was dressed nice it's not like I was going to another steel or something. what their prices are crazy anything that's brand name they mark it up to like $16 and up it's just not worth the visit

Impulsively, I walked in to peruse the selection of neck ties, seemingly to have more than the K-Mart. It was a nice experience that I bought a couple of older movies and 3 ties. Even the bathroom was clean! I didn't have enough time to really look around, but I would shop here again.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially the cashier. However, the store was incredibly messy, beyond what one might expect in a thrift store (general clutter or what have you). There were quite a few aisles that had items all over the floor which made it difficult to get around with a cart.

All other dressing rooms are open. Not this location. You can't even try a shoe on without a short woman who works there informing you that you are not allowed to try ANYTHING on. Will not go back. She is very rude.

we came in 30 minutes before closing , everything was fine until we (my mother and i) were in the dressing room with 10 minutes till close we were trying to try the clothes on and we got yelled at to "hurry up" then it was 5:05 and we were putting are clothes back on and a man pounded on our door and said "it's time to go" in a very rude tone and so we got out and paid for our things and left.. you would think they would be a little nicer about it since we tried to rush as best as we could..

Limited selection. Disorganized clothing racks so you can't find your size. It does not appear to be handicap accessible from the front door.It's an indoor yard sale without the good deals.The store was overall clean, and the staff were serviceable.

There was not that much men's clothing, which the store itself may not have a ton of control over, but also the men's section was not labeled with a hanging sign like the much larger women's section. Maybe the sign had fallen down & just hadn't been replaced, I don't know. Definitely better than the Southside express Goodwill, which is a nightmare.

This store was absolutely filthy!!! It was so dark you literally couldn’t see! The clothes were all over the floors, thrown over racks and not organized!! I am completely disappointed!! The place next door is supposed to be for training?!? I hope they are doing a better job training people than what the people in the store were trained!

Nice selection. My wife found everything she wanted plus things we didn't know we were looking for (isn't that how it goes). Nice place, relatively clean and stylish for a thrift store. Staff were friendly. :)

Blankets are what I primarily shop for at thrift stores. I buy blankets 5-10 or even more at a time for the dogs so I am not picky on what they look like. This store is charging 2-3x's as much as I've ever seen before and wouldn't even drop the price from $6.99 on a stained blanket with cigarette burns in it. Apparently they don't realize they get thier merchandise for free? And it smells like fart when you walk in the door.

Everything was great, except they didn't give any kind of notice that they were going to be closing. They just found everyone and said that they were now closed to bring items to the registers. Kind of annoying..

Still no access to fitting rooms. The staff told me I could buy the items and go use hyvee bathroom then return what I don’t want… are you kidding me? That is not an acceptable solution. Get with it Goodwill.

I understand you need to wear a mask inside the store ,I was dropping things off and I don't wear my mask outside I have breathing problems so I only wear it when I have too,I got out to open my trunk so they could get the things and the employee was like u need a mask I said I'm outside and I'm not getting close to you and he asked me why I wouldn't wear one and I told him and he said its there policy and I said I'm not coming in and if I was then yes I would wear one ,I will not be donating to this place again the guy was very rude and telling my family not to shop there .

Great variety of home decor. Lots of stuff to browse, fun treasure hunting. Fairness of pricing varies. Worth the stop if your a fan. Convient location and easy to find.

Bad experience , I try to donate some dressers and they didn’t accept it and also I try to donate a bed and they didn’t take it, because the handle of the dresser was missing but everything else was in good condition, the bed was also in very good condition, they told me they only take almost new things

Decent size store with a reasonable selection from clothes to collectibles. I would recommend. Some clothing items, like jeans, are a bit overpriced though.
