My dog has been going there for over a year now since we got him. He came from a very abusive life. He has aggression issues. Pet Smart and Petco "kicked him out" because he would bite. I have a dog that needs to be groomed and was at my wits end on what to do. I heard about Paw Prints and they are WONDERFUL!! They take their time with him and he has come so far since his first visit. He was their most challenging grooming, to now I hear how good he does. This place is AWESOME and they truly care for your pets. My dog now only has to wear a muzzle for a small part of the grooming WOW, never thought I'd hear that. The owner is personable and so is her staff. Keep up the great work!!!

Paw prints is a great place for boarding or grooming! I read other reviews about their dogs smelling like urine but that is to be expected. I always assume I will have to wash my dog after she is kenneled. They will also wash your pet before they go home for an extra charge. I have worked in a vet clinic before and I know that if you choose a vet clinic instead, your pet will not get to go outside at all! I would rather my dog get to go outside 4 times a day and smell like pee rather than sit in a kennel 24/7. They also do a great job giving my dog a "westie" hair cut which is more challenging than other breeds.

My dog has a really hard time at the kennel and is 13 so I do not like to leave her. She has issues being away from home and with strangers. We left her here over Christmas. The owner advised me that the dog was nervous the first few days but after some extra attention did well. This shows that she cares and pays attention to the animals that stay there. Before I had boarded my dogs. My other dog is happy anywhere as long as he is fed and gets attention. He didn't seem that interested in coming home when I picked him up. Guess he had too much fun! When my dog was lost over the summer, I was not a customer. They still allowed me to put up a flyer and offered to post her picture on their website. My came home after 3 days and being sprayed by a skunk. I think the actions of the staff and owner show a general caring for animals. I have dropped into the Kennel several times and although it make get messy during a grooming, I have not sen the place dirty. I usually stop in to make my reservations. The only thing that I don't like is the dogs don't have indoor/outdoor runs. They are indoor only.

I've been to paw prints about 5 or 6 times. Not bad for the price you pay... Until the last time we went. We have a golden retriever and went for a simple bath and haircut. They were pouring concrete so we had to go in the side door where they keep the animals they board. It STUNK and all around didn't seem very sanitary. I picked my dog up and was in a hurry. I paid and left. One of his legs didn't get trimmed, no big deal just figured I would trim it myself. Halfway home I realized my dog could not see out of his eye. I called them upset, the owner hung up on me. I took him to the vet and he had an ulceration on his eye from soap getting in it. To make the review short its been almost two months and I just got my money back from the grooming, and Kelly Schmitz (owner) refuses to pay the vet the full amount because she says we are lying. I went to pick up my money today and she started cussing me out (literally in every sense of the word) in front of people and throwing money at me, calling me every name in the book. Told me I was an uneducated moron (I have degrees) because she has a degree (I'm still confused about this). Places like petsmart have drops they can put in a dogs eye to prevent anything like this happening. So Kelly if it is so impossible to get an ulceration in your eye,why does it start to burn your eyes if you get shampoo or soap in them, and why are their warnings on the bottle to keep soaps out of eyes?Paw prints is a dirty place, my dog was injured (basically abused), and I was treated like crap because I just wanted my money back. I hope people that go there read this review and take your dog elsewhere, and do NOT board your animals there, the conditions are not good at all!!! I regret ever taking my dog there, I had never seen the boarding area until then!

Paw prints has relocated to Schrock Rd just outside of Waterloo. I was not impressed with their new facility, at all. It is in a barn/machine shed type building. When I walked in it didn't seem very cool in there but it wasn't super hot either. Seemed like they may have just had fans cooling it down, not central AC. It is very old and dirty inside their new place. Lots of junk laying all over inside and outside. Also, the outside area isn't right next to the dogs so I have a hard time believing they really let them out 4 times per day. Also, when I booked my appointment, I was never told that they had relocated. I drove all the way to the old location and then had to call to get their new address. When I called the lady was very rude to me! As if I should have known they relocated. It was never updated on their FB, I didn't get a letter, and I wasn't told on the phone. How do they expect their customers to follow if they aren't informed?I will definitely be visiting another kennel next time.

I called here as a last resort because our normal place (Arrowhead Kennels - definitely recommend them) was booked. I booked one month before we were leaving on vacation. The day I was suppose to drop my dog off, I called to see what time I should come and a lady named Chastity told me anytime before 5:30pm or at 8pm. I arrived at 5pm on the dot. The doors were all unlocked, the building looked abandoned and was really dirty. There was no yard for the dogs to run around in like they told me. I called to ask what was going on and got a message saying their voicemail was full. I tried calling a couple more times and got the same message. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Great at grooming Yobie wan Kenobie. Gave me some sound advice on how to care for him. I am planning on boarding my Yellow Lab mix there later this month & have no trepidation about leaving Moxie Millicans with them. They have moved to a rural location, but it is on a paved road, not gravel. I will update review after boarding my Mox.
