Excellent & prompt service. Waitress was very attentive & exceptional & food was also exceptional. Large portions. The food is authentic and everything looks like it is made from scratch. They even have freshly grated queso. I started eating prior to 2nd pic.

The best Mexican food that I have had in Iowa, and I live in Iowa. Steak burito was incredible. Service was a little slow, but we were not in a hurry. Others got in and out fast. We will definitely be coming back!

I give La Frontara 3 stars because the food was amazing but the dishes didn't come with refried beans as promised on the menu. The server didn't come and check if we needed anything like a refill or something else. Our drinks were not soft serve by in a can. At the end we had to pay in the convenience store part of the restaurant.

This is a bright, clean, relatively new restaurant. The Mexican store came first, and was originally across the street. The food is authentically Mexican and made by Mexicans. The portions are generous, and the variety is wide. Here's hoping you will enjoy it as much as I did.Features: Masks are no longer required. Tables are disinfected between use.

They have really good tamales in their meat case in the grocery section. They also have an assortment of traditional meat dishes hot and ready to buy by weight or you can order off their menu. Helpful staff as well. Awesome authentic Mexican food!

Good food. I have eaten small Mexican restaurants in many states and this was the best Quesadilla I have had to date for a very reasonable price. Most are some degree of greasy and this one was not.-at all -and a bit of spice with the chicken that made it stand out. The sauces were delicious and a touch of authenticity that sets it apart from "average" and presentation was above average for the price. Service was excellent.

Best Mexican food I've had in years and the prices were very good. From the salsa to the guacamole, chorizo tacos, carne asade burrito, and empanadas, everything we had was amazing. I can't wait to go back.

Margaritas are phenomenal and strong! Salsa is fantastic! The menu is small but the food is fantastic. And there is a store attached to the restaurant. Is a must eat when passing through Hampton.

Food was okay? Slightly overpriced.Service was terrible. Lol. No refills on drinks, no refills on chips and salsa (even though we asked), and never really checked on us.It seems it’s pretty much ran by the local customers. Oh well.

Bland sauce, overcooked eggs, canned refried beans, dry rice. Friendly, helpful staff. It may be hard to find better Mexican food in the middle of Iowa, I'm afraid, but the fact that you can find it at all is noteworthy.

Good authentic Mexican food. You sometimes have to wait a while. If you don't speak Spanish it may sometimes hard to communicate with the waitress.

Wow, what a burrito! Excellent salsa, clean, comfortable. I couldn't finish the regular size burrito. I can't imagine how big the large one is!
