We added Sam to our family in August 2022 they were great to deal with my teen collage daughter went to go get him and got herself his brother both wonderful members of the family also just desided to get Sam a play mate and fell in love with Crowley a yorkie poo and they love to play together even with the size difference. Coldwater Kennel was easy to work with both times and our dogs are amazing

We’re extremely happy with our new family member. Rose was a bit timid in entering our household. It took her one day to fit right in and as you can see guarding her thrown. I’m sure it helped with our blue Heeler, setting the limits. She loves the freedom of being outdoors too. She’s very intelligent and recognizes her name with only one day of commands. She loves the attention and can’t get enough loving and kisses. Larry was awesome with the adoption process and very helpful with answering all of my concerns. You can really tell he loves his dealings with dogs, one by the many trophies displayed. I highly recommend if you’re interested in viewing any of the pups available do so, you truly will not be disappointed! I’m sure, you’ll bring a pup of choice home with you for years of companionship from the best championship breeder in Iowa! Larry was wonderful to work with, he is very responsive, knowledgeable and kind. The kennels were very clean and well kept. We purchased a Yorkie from him one week ago and the puppy already knows his name, is 99% potty trained and has learned to play fetch with a mini tennis ball. He is a very smart and affectionate puppy. I will also mention that Yorkies have a reputation for being “yappers” and this pup is not at all!Updated: Bear has filled out so nice (added picture) and he continues to love playing fetch with his ball. He actually loves his toys and collects them up and “puts them away” in his little bed. Now that the snow is gone and it’s warming up we are transitioning to training him to go outside to go to the bathroom. He has also learned to walk on a leash with a harness and was quick to learn that as well! He is the definition of lapdog, he LOVES being with his humans.

We got 2 BEAUTIFUL maltese pups today. The Sellers were fantastic and informative which I greatly appreciated. Got the pups home and they acclimated very fast to my other animals. I will recommend the best kennel to anyone who wants a new puppy. Coldwater kennel is the best😍

This is the sweetest dog ever. We kept her name as Willow. Born in Dec. 2022. She absolutely loves everyone with her big golden heart. She is super smart! Also blonde, so she walks into walls sometimes when she's super excited. Loves to go on car rides. HATES the vet. The vet loves her tho. She pretty much runs our lives now. Absolutely the silliest dog I've ever met. Just what we needed in our family

We live only 14 miles from Coldwater Kennel so we were excited it was so close and we got on his website and picked out the puppy we were going to purchase before we arrived on Saturday. We noticed they had closed at 12 that day and we didn’t get over there until 11:45. He had 4 minature male poodles to choose that we could play with while he had customers coming in to pick up a new puppy. We ended up buying 2 male poodles that day! They are so precious and make us so happy and very busy, Lol! Very impressed with Larry and his business!!! Thankyou so much!!!

I brought Tink home almost 5 years ago and she has been the happiest, laid back little dog I’ve ever owned. She’s had zero health issues, is very smart and remains an excellent source of cuddles, kisses and company for me.

This place is so amazing they treat the puppies very well and are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a puppy. I got my little sue now named angel there last weekend and she has been a very well addition to our family. We welcomed Ernie to our family today. He definitely will be a great addition. I live near the Coldwater Kennel yet never have been there. I called them that morning and we went up there 15 minutes later and they came out and greeted us as we drove up. Come to find out our local vet knew Ernie before we got him which is way cool. I want to thank them so much for being so easy to work for and so understanding. They have so many puppies in need of homes stop in and cuddle them all.

Picked up our little lady (Luna) today. Larry and Pam were very helpful.She is well socialized, very sweet and a great addition to our family. Our pup and my daughter instantly fell in love with each other. Love snuggling together and having fun chasing each other in the yard.She rode very nicely on our long journey home. We adopted an 11 week old male apricot toy poodle we named "Cooper " on 4/3/24. Larry was so helpful and kind as we were trying to decide which puppy to take home. We played with a group before Cooper chose me! All our questions were answered and the paperwork thoroughly explained. Cooper has fit into our family very well. Even our 9 year old cat has accepted him. Cooper is nearly potty trained; from his first night home he hasn't pottied in his kennel. We are very pleased with the professionalism with the purchase of our tiny Yorkie! She was of course pretty stressed on the ride home- a long one but not long after she arrived she ate, drank and played. We love Coldwater Kennel! The service and knowledge is outstanding! We just adopted our fourth puppy from Larry and Tina Albrecht! We wouldn't go anyplace else! This is our recent puppy- Pearl Joy. She is a gorgeous miniature poodle and filled with love and fun!I must add a note to my review! The girls who work for Larry and Tina Albrecht~ Pam and Mindy are both fantastic. I called several times with questions, and they are both extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly answered the questions I had!They are both hard workers and know aeverything you might ask about any of the parents/puppies. Wife went and got a shih-poo from coldwater kennels and about 2 weeks later we went back and got a mini poodle. Puppies are all well taken care of, and all have a mate or 2 while waiting to be taken to a forever home. Larry was an absolute legend to work with, made the whole process compeletly painless, and he was super kind to my kids that went with to see all the puppies. Now i just have to figure out all the registration stuff on my end. If you are in the market for an dorable, reasonably priced puppy or 2 then look no further, larry has you covered.

We brought our little Morkie, Kate, home yesterday afternoon from Coldwater Kennels and have had nothing but fun with her since!! She made herself right at home and loved all the toys our granddaughter had waiting for her.Kate was calm riding in our van, and warmed up to her surroundings immediately when we arrived at our home. She follows us when we encourage her and sits quietly on our laps when invited.We can tell she has had plenty of human interaction and is ready to accept human friends without any hesitation.
