We went to Lowe's to get the best deal on an appliance!! Kara made sure we did!!! She greeted us with a friendly smile!! She is very knowledgeable! The one we wanted wasn't in stock. We decided we would take the store model. Kara took a lot of care in preparing the appliance for us to get it home safely without breaking anything! When she called for help, all available employees came to help! We were greeted again by many employees!! Jonah and another member were there to assist with the heavy lifting! Christina came in at the end for a friendly conversation while we secured our new appliance!!! We will definitely be back to Lowe's in West Des Moines!!! Everyone is so helpful and responsive!! Truly a great experience! Thank you Kara, Jonah, Christina and many more members of the Lowe's family!

We came in 15 minutes before close to look for one small item and pick up our order. We tried to ask the lady at the pick up desk (Carrie) where the area would be for us to look for the item. She looked right at us and said "You have 10 minutes to get that." Super rude. She then spent as much time looking up the aisle as we took to just walk and find it ourselves.We didn't find the piece we were looking for, so we went to pick up our order. Carrie was again very rude in asking our information. We then had another employee ask us for the exact same information. We were still out of the store by 9 pm. I understand not wanting people to be in your store for long periods of time after close, but the hours say until 9 pm, we should be able to look for an item 15 minutes before that. I worked retail for 8 years and would never dream of being so rude to customers, even if they walk in one minute to close.We are incredibly disappointed in this experience and suggest anyone needing materials to just drive down the road to Home Depot. We have had much better experiences there.

A few weeks a go I went into this store with not very much hope of replacing my moms dishwasher. Then I talked to Matt in appliances and he was amazing. Took the time to walk me through what I needed to do and what parts I needed. I took pictures of what I was dealing with and he knew exactly how to replace the lines and the shutoff valve. Couldn't have done it with out his help. Will be going back to this store just because of the help and service I got from Matt. Thank you

Just left Lowe’s,. Very frustrating place To shop. I went there last Wednesday, and waited with another woman who was trying to also use some coupons and was told We needed a manager to sign off on it. Called the manager three times over a 20 minute period and they never showed up. Had to take the stuff to customer service. Was not told to do that. Just did it on my own.Went there today., and tried to pay, and there were no “live “ Cashiers, only self check out, which were all broken or not on. The one employee we found said she was busy doing something else. Why do these stores force self check out on their customers?

I recently bought some bathroom faucets at this Lowe’s location, and the selection and value exceeded expectations. The person who helped me was 5-star! He knew a lot about the products and was friendly and non-condescending. The only reason I am not rating this location with 5 stars overall is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to talk to a human on the phone. I’m interested in purchasing several more plumbing fixtures, but I don’t want to drive out there until I ask a few questions. I have waited on hold for five minutes more than once. This is unacceptable.

I went in the morning. Loved the Christmas and Halloween decorations. Clean bathroom and at the end of the store. Lots of Lowe's workers were there to help and assist us. Lots of variety in home stuff. I was looking for a vertical freezer of Samsung but I couldn't find one there. They had a huge variety though. Wheelchair accessible and parking. Huge parking lot. Enjoyable experience.

If you're considering patronizing "Lowe's Home Improvement," but are hesitant because of the negative review left by Nick Jones, I encourage you to disregard his review.Mr. Jones left a negative review for our company, Superior Siding and Windows, claiming that we were doing work, or had done work, for his family, and that he is dissatisfied. First of all, we've never heard of Nick Jones, nor done work for anyone such as he mentioned in his review. Secondly, he does not live in our service area.We responded to his review and encouraged him to contact us and to remove his review. We've reported it to Google for removal, all to no avail. He refuses to contact us to discuss this matter nor to remove his review.Most people do not realize this, but Google Reviews are taken seriously by consumers. If enough erroneous reviews accumulate, it has a negative impact on businesses.If Mr. Jones doesn't know how to leave a proper review for THE CORRECT BUSINESS, he should not leave any kind of review. EVER.If there was a way to leave a review on people that rates their cognitive awareness, I'd give Mr. Jones the review he deserves in this category: 1 Star.

I love Lowe's, it's such a great home store. They have dang near anything and everything you could every need for your home and garden. Prices can be a little high, but if you catch something on clearance or just on sale, you'll get a great deal. I was able to pick up some bushes early this November and they were clearanced down to $1. It's late in the planting season but for $1, I'll take my chances.Check them out if you need supplies!!!

This truck and driver blocked the road refused to pull ahead 15' so cars could get threw and told me he was doing his job and to drive around the block he was very rude and said call the cops he wasn't going to move his truck so I did so there would be no other problems will never use Lowes again and I will spread the word very un professional

I stopped here to buy some more paint and to return a gallon of paint that I had purchased that was incorrect. A manager there, Barb, was the absolute sweetest most helpful person I've met in a long time! She helps me from the time I walked in the door until the time I left! They're apparently wasn't anyone there to mix paint and Barb stepped up and volunteered to refresh her memory and mix some paint for me and did a fantastic, phenomenal job! Their cash registers weren't to ring up the discount on the sale they're currently running and she once again fixed it for me and got me on my way! I am so pleased, thank you so much Barb, you absolutely made my evening spectacular!!

Visited today at the Garden Center, was looking for specific plants,all 3 of the employees I spoke to were extremely helpful, even referring me to someone else. Love Lowes,their commitment to Military and America. Will only shop here, never at the other place that starts with an H,as in Hell

Employees do not seem to want anything to do with customers. First trip I walked in and asked where bathroom faucets were at, "somewhere over there" the employee pointed vaguely without even looking at me. Second trip I needed to return the faucet because it had been returned by someone else and was missing parts. Not a good look for the "Pros". Of course, when returning the faucet I had to stand and wait for employees to finish their conversation and then one turned to me and went "Yeah?"How about a "how can I help you" after immediately ending your conversation when I walk up? How about checking products for obvious missing parts so I don't have to make two trips? What about knowing where things are in your store, or at the very least offering to look for it?

I don't usually shop at Lowe's - but I was really impressed with this location. Bought a new faucet at a different store and didn't realize I would need new supply lines - half way through the install I'm Googling prices for what I need and Lowe's had the cheapest. I'm glad they did. In and out within 5 minutes with what I needed (plus a couple other things that I remembered while I was there). Used self-checkout so I didn't actually interact with any staff, but the conversations I saw and overheard seemed friendly and helpful. Recommend this location for sure!

This is the second time that we've had a horrible experience regarding lowes progressive leasing. The customer service employees and manager have NO clue around progressive leasing they had to call someone who wasn't on their shift. Secondly the employees have to page the manager 5x and they show up with an attitude. Today the manager was extremely unprofessional he wouldn't hear us out.we were trying to exchange a mini bike that was under 3 year warranty had major issues and his first comment was why is it dirty as if it's not supposed to be used and proceeded with you had 48hrs to return its not a month not even hearing us out that we had warranty and he kept stating we have no clue around the program and making comments we drove 1hr to this location to end up loading the bike back in our. Truck and driving back waisted an 1hr for no reason. this will be the last business with lowes.

Terrible experience. Was supposed to have a fridge delivered today at 9am. 1:30pm and they show up with a dented model. Stating will get another one on Sunday...only to be called an hour later stating I have to go in and order a new one. Wow. I've worked customer service for 25 years and absolutely hate it when I am treated so disrespectful. Sorry for being a female! If I was a male this would not even be an issue.

We've had mixed results working with this store; the contractors Lowe's selected for a couple of projects have been a problem. Meanwhile, in-store help has been pretty good; there are generally enough people working to find someone who can help you with questions or finding things.

It's not Menards "BUT" if Menards doesn't have what I need (not likely) and I don't mind driving a few miles out of my way, I know Lowe's will. It's a really close choice on where to go but end up at Lowe's 3 out of 5 times for small quick trips.

I’d give this store a zero star if I could, Do not shop here, worst customer service experience I’ve ever come across. I had to track down 3 different employees (who were hard to find, store seems deserted) to try and get help in wood area, all of whom were sitting around on their phones, and told me they’d go find someone else to help me, yet no one ever showed up, and none of the employees followed up with me to see if I’d gotten help. I eventually walked out of the store after waiting nearly an hour or more without a single person helping me. On my way out I spotted the employees who I originally tracked down to find help, sitting around again back on their phones. Needless to say, that’s the last time I’ll ever shop at Lowes. I went down the street to Menards who had dozens of employees who were pleasant and easy to find, and helped me right away. I was in and out of the store within 10 minutes.

How is this store open still. None of the employees here ever say hello or even acknowledge my existence as a human. I mean nothing. I went here today and after walking around for 30 minutes in tools and plumbing no one even made eye contact with me. Fortunately homedepot is close by.

I love Lowe's because there are so many variety of indoor plants available. We can get plants from clearance side too. I bought palm🌴 tree for 5$ and dracaena plant for 3$. The leaves of the plants were slightly withered but I transfer my plant to different pot with fresh soil. Now they are looking so good. I plan to go once in every two weeks so I can get new plants 😁. I am crazy for indoor plants. I also bought snake plant and nerve leaves plant for regular price. Good friendly customer service 👌.

I have tried to get the pro desk to get me a quote 3 separate times this week to the point of asking if there was an issue with their email system yesterday when I called and talked to a manager on duty. Was told I'd have an email and a phone call by 845 this morning. It is now almost an hour later with neither of those things being done yet again. Will not buy from this store again. Menards may not be my favorite but at least that get back to you.

Wide selection. The gentleman we ordered from must have been in training. No problem except....every time he asked for help he was ignored by the managers. Boo for the managers! It took us 1 and 1/2 hours to order 10 items. Pretty standard items- drywall, 2 x 4s, flooring, trim, door, etc.Then the register we were at didn't work, then had to call in because discount didn't apply, then had wrong doors on order and flooring out of stock. Then wrong address for delivery.I repeat the young man helping us was kind as could be. He needed help! Frustrating experience. One of the reasons we shop small whenever we possibly can. We had an emergency Saturday night flood that required using one of the giants.

I have always lived near a home depot so I've always used them because they were closest. Recently having moved I am now near both home depot and lowes. So I tried lowes for the first time. I had a very good experience. I shopped in 3 departments and everyone was very helpful in each. I noticed that when I walked from one department to another through the store employees would say hey or hi or ask if I needed help. I will definitely be going back to Lowe's in the future.

Lowe's third party delivery and installation team (Destination Delivery LLC) damaged my water heater by messing up the plumbing and left me without hot water for weeks in the middle of December and cost me almost $2,000 to replace the water heater.Destination Delivery LLC was also just incapable and unprofessional (took over 2 hours and multiple trips to do a simple washer & dryer installation, did it wrong, damaging the water heater, left mess everywhere), and is unwilling to take any responsibility. Lowe's is only offering 10% refund (about $70) on the washer to close this case and sweep it under the rug.AVOID Lowe's for any big purchases and Destination Delivery LLC, they do NOT take any accountability if anything goes wrong.Update (2/17/2024):I have reached out to them many times as the response from the store below recommended (even before I wrote this review), and it's been the such a waste of my time and energy. They do NOTHING, it's insulting.

If you're looking for reliability, professionalism or competence, stay away from this store. The delivery dates online are a joke, they have no idea what is available or when. They have no communication with their distribution center or their shipping department. They have audacity to call and ask pro customers to sell them products when they know that they have no clue whtat their doing.The place is almost always empty and for a good reason. Do not waste your time coming here as you will surely be disappointed.
