What a shame. Kings harvest simply has the most arrogant staff there. Why offer free surrender services when you are going to judge and bring down those who come to you with an actual health concern. Do you think you’re above those in need? Utterly disrespectful and disgusting. You house no room for god only judgement. Shame on you kings harvest.

I tried to adopt!! And I was totally judged. I was even able to explain myself!!! I'm a huge animal lover. Love cat's. Cat's that enter my home are treated with love and compassion ❤️❤️. And live very long lives. I would never support this rescue!!

Adopt don't shop! I adopted ozzy from kings harvest and he is amazing very playful and curious and a lover boy I am soo happy I adopted him thank you kings harvest and all of your amazing hard working people there they are the best!! We adopted our kitty Meria from here just today! staff was absolutely above and beyond incredible, especially landis and stephanie! (sorry for any spelling mistakes!!) they helped us throughout the entire process and sent us home with the most kind goodie bag full of treats for her!! Thank you guys SO much for your patience and guidance!! AWESOME CREW!

this shelter is supposedly helping the community and takes community donations but not community dogs. the other shelters in the area are struggling immensly with overpopulation while kings harvest pulls dogs from other state.

The staff is all very friendly and welcoming. Despite how busy they are, someone will ALWAYS come help you. I've adopted a cat and recently adopted a doggy from them, 10/10 recommend to check this shelter out. They have awesome deals going on sometimes, for example I got $100 off my adoption fee for my doggy!

They do a great job caring for animals and finding them homes. I started volunteering with them last year and it's such rewarding work. I can't recommend them enough!

My husband and I have the perfect single family home with a 4 mth old and and heard a mouse so he talked me into looking at cats for our babies furever friend n hoping a mouser they denied us because of said we were going to use it for a mouser........excuse me? I was dumbfounded like I thought they wanted life long homes for these animals and feel like they had an opinion that we were going to slave the poor kitty to death to take care of our mouse issue that was my husband's excuse to talk me into getting one in the first house (he's a cat lover) also Also said that they called the Orlando Lord. They're waiting for a reply. We talked to the landlord to have him. Call them back and he received no missed call from them.

We recently adopted a wonderful dog that is everything they said, which I appreciate. The place was clean, much cleaner than the other shelter we tried. Most of the staff was nice and helpful. One staff member was incredibly rude to me on the phone, she should stick to animals she obviously doesn’t have any customer service skills.

This is a wonderful shelter! The enclosures are always clean and the animals well taken care of. The staff is always extremely helpful and friendly. I have not adopted from here, but frequently visit just to give some love to the sweet cats.

As always the staff is cheerful. Here's hoping more people adopt rather than buy. The state of Iowa has a bad reputation of being a puppy mill. Please, if you can adopt.

The animals are in good hands here. The facility and kennels are kept very clean and warm. The staff are all friendly and helpful.The website could use some tweeking, not a fan that it wants you to log on to Facebook to see all the current animals - and when you get to the FB page it seems hard to keep track of what animals are there now and available (some of us are not FB fans - this detiers us from not visiting the facility). It would be very helpful if they kept their website up to date on a daily basis.But all in all, great facility and caretakers of the animals until they are adopted.

Filled out an application then went to pick up the cat on a Monday, ended up not getting her because they told me she got an infection (wasn’t emailed or called about it). Then waited another week to find out there was a ringworm outbreak and they wanted me to wait another two weeks to get her. Getting my money back but overall terrible experience.

This is a wonderful rescue! The staff care about the animals, they always keep their cages clean and tidy…u can tell these animals are given immense amounts of love and care…plus it’s a no kill shelter, so these animals all have a chance

Very disappointed with them today. Took my grandkids to look at cats because they just lost their cat of 18 years. The staff was very rude. We asked about a kitten in a cage because it said he wasn't available right now. When we asked why. Everyone just looked at each other and said I don't know. No effort was made to find out. I have donated to this shelter several times. No moreWhen you depend on a community for things you should not be rude to anyone. And go above and beyond.

i went there to go look for a dog and i have a dog but i saw one and it said she was friendly with dogs but we where told to call a certain day to set up a meet and greet with her and my dog so when we called they hung up and was rude and told us she’s not friendly but on her sheet it said she was this animal shelter dosent know what their doing especially with putting the correct things on their sheets. will not be adopting here.

We had a very bad experience with this shelter. This is not the first time we adopted a dog from a shelter. They were very misleading about the dogs temperament and prior history. We were aware of the heart worm treatment when adopted but despite doing everything asked of us, he still tested positive for heart worms. After being unaware of his behavioral problems that were undoubtedly known by the shelter, we had to return him as we do not have the proper resources for the dog. They made it extremely difficult to return him and tried to dodge us left and right. Finally, after threatening to contact the board, I received a call back to coordinate the drop off. They were rude, misleading and deceptive. I would give them zero stars if possible. It is obvious they see difficult dogs and instead of working them into a proper home, they lie about temperament to make a quick dollar on the adoption fee.

This place was amazing! We adopted our dog Jack who is a one year old American Staffordshire Terrier. He is so relaxed and perfect with our 2 year old daughter and our one year old cat. They were quick but thorough with the adpotion process itself. Very inexpensive to adopt. Highly recommend!

They are amazing here. Everything they do for all of the animals is absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful experience when we adopted a cat from the feral room. Gabby had actually fostered her and was able to give us a lot of information about Meadow. We've had Meadow for almost 4 months and she is a totally different cat. Thank you for all you do and for helping us make the best decision of adopting Meadow. It feels amazing that we have been able to give her the love and security she has longed for. If you're looking for a kitten/adult cat or a puppy/adult dog please consider Kings Harvest.

This place has a real good scheme going on. Get dogs from down south with diseases like heart worms and severe behavioral problems, then bring them up to here to pull the heart strings of naive people to rake in that sweet sweet adoption money. Got a dog that had heart worms and aggression and was never told about either problems. Stay away.
