Staff in the meat department always eager to help, prices always better than other grocery stores in the area and the staff bags it, take it to your car, load it and take the cart away. How many grocery stores still do that! Plus you don't get stopped at the door on your way out.

Fareway Markets are the kings of meat, poultry, fish, pork. Prices are a little higher, but quality cannot be beat. Especially love their Bread and Butter beef roasts. Cooked properly, you'd swear you could cut it with a feather!!!

I do online order and pick up most often- very easy, they do a very good job on produce picking. When I do go inside for a few items people are friendly. MNeat counter is always great.

I love their meat department. The store is always clean. The parking lot is nice and clean as well. I love how the staff carries your groceries out to your car. Remind me of the time we lived on the military base when there were baggers that would carry your groceries to your car.

First time to a faraway. Very clean and very helpful employees, and we were asked to let them push our cart to the car. Never have we ever been asked we felt so guilty we pushed it out but he had to follow us to take cart back. Will be shopping at that store from now on.

Council Bluffs, IA. The fellows at the meat counter were very helpful and accommodating. At checkout, Ava, the cashier greeted me with a smile. Alex, the guy who carried out the groceries was also very helpful and pleasant. Great job. Kudos to all the personnel today. More smile in the aisle than their competitors.

One of the nicer neighborhood grocery stores -- a throwback to a better day! The clerks actually expect to help you out to your car with your purchases. Though you can certainly decline -- it's a wonderful courtesy for the elderly, infirm, or those parents with small children and only two hands!The staff is exceptionally courteous, as well, the shelves well stocked and the prices competitive. And they have a fabulous deli counter!We go out of the way to patronize this Fareway!

Every employee is always so nice when we go there. We LOVE their meat selection too! I think they give you that old small town feel grocery store in the way they scan, and assist you with your groceries to the car.

The staff are really great here. Our children love the small kid size carts. Great meat selection and easy to navigate layout. Close to home which makes it the ideal quick in and out place for us.

Gateway is a good place to shop. I think just a little bit higher in price than big stores but well worth the shopping experience. Good sales item . Great staff who will help you to get stuff to your vehicle. The meat they sell in the deli is delicious a real must try, especially the hamburger pre made up with bacon 🥓 cheese ,onions and spices a really must try it

First time in years I've been there. The customer service is without equal! The remodeling looks wonderful and the store is easy to navigate. Got my groceries for the week in less than 20mins (with 5 kids that is an amazing feat!). The cashier was kind and the checkout process is honestly probably the fastest I've seen even compared to Aldi's plus the team effort and bagging along with carry out without even asking! The store is good but the people that work there are exceptional! This place is a hidden gem.

They price match automatically, so you get low prices with out lots of work. Food quality is excellent, although since they are a smaller store, sometimes they don't have the exact item I'm looking for. Still, I love doing my shopping here. Staff is ALWAYS friendly. If they seem rude, than its probably because they are human and can only take so much.

We lived down the street and always loved shopping here! We have since moved, but still make the extra drive just to go here because everyone is so helpful and the kids love the mini carts! They also have a great gluten free section that makes my shopping much easier!

Everything was great, very friendly and helpful staff. It would be nice if Fareway would see to it that everyone wares a mask! I never feel safe in your Council Bluffs store, I go in there twice a week and have seen people without a mask every time. I get tired dodging people in the isles that refuse to wear a mask! We may be forced to shop elsewhere.

The service is really good. I go there and pay more for groceries for the service because I don't have to check out my own groceries. However now they have installed self checkout Lanes. If I wanted to check my own groceries out I would pay less for my groceries and shop at Walmart. I think fairway has made a mistake by adding these and I am a little offended by it. How can I value the service you offer more than you do.

Love the meat department. Other locations have meat that is OK, but Fareway seems to make it an art. They have items like thick cut Iowa pork chops, which you don't find elsewhere . They have all of the other items, too, that you'd find in a grocery store. The employees are friendly, and they always help take the groceries to the car. It's well worth a visit.

The employees are very very nice whether it's a stocker or the butcher are the girls at the register or the sackers that's what I like most about the store is the people. As far as the prices are concerned they're awfully competitive it just depends on what you catch on sale what they have on sale in the ads and so forth I was just there last night paid 299 a pound for 93% lean ground hamburger even the things that aren't on sale are competitive with the other stores
