Natural grocers has a good selection of healthy food for those with sensitive diets. They have an excellent selection of natural supplements and some books on health as well. If you have a sensitive diet this place is a must for you. Pricing is naturally high with the recent inflation in 2022, and naturally health food is more costly. Health food does not get government subsidies like junk food does. Easy access and great location!

When I'm visiting family in Des Moines, I always shop Natural Grocers. The staff is always engaging and helpful for the little things you may be looking for. The prices are competitive with the big area grocery stores and often have advertised or in-store sales on popular items in the organic produce, dairy, or grocery sections. They also have an extensive personal care and supplement departments stocked with high-quality toxin free products for those who care about what they consume or put on their bodies. Check out their 86th and Hickman St location and say hi to Allyson, the head cashier.

The produce is fantastic, fresh, high quality and not loaded with chemicals, they have an awesome selection of meats,dairy and vegan options as well, not to mention all of the supplements health and beauty products, we highly recommend them to anyone, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the icing on the cake, many items were lower in price than the chemical laden counterparts you find at the big name stores, check them out, we're sold!

This is my favorite grocery store! The staff is always courteous and efficient. This store has a lot of quality products for a good price, especially when running one of their many sales. If you are health conscious about the food you buy but don't want to break the bank, this is a great store for you.

They had a good variety of different organic products. They had my Mountain Valley sparkling flavored water in the 3 flavors. I would have given them 5 stars but I wished they had the same thing in smaller glass bottles and some of their prices seemed alittle high.

Natural Grocers has everything I need. I love that they carry exclusively organic produce and they've got the best vitamin selection in town. The classes are great and the staff at this store are really nice and helpful.

I seriously get over charged every time I shop here. So today I chose the supplement I needed based on the sign that said 3 dollars off. I get to the checkout and ask the cashier if it would ring up at that price. He said I need the coupon from the shelf. There was no coupon . He did run back to check. No coupons. So he asks the other cashier about it and she said there was nothing they could do. So why have the sign up? This happens almost every time I come here. Only going to order supplements online now.

This store is amazing! If you are interested in anything healthy/organic, come here! Their selection is amazing. I really like all the beauty products and bath products. They have my favorite zero-waste shampoo and conditioner soap bars in store too now! If you are looking for pills, they have a ton. They also have a bunch of different food that is so good and it's not that bad of a price.

I get alot of my herbs here when I'm buying in a pinch. They have a great selection of natural medicines and healthier alternatives to the processed food most store offer. Their produce is all organic and always fresh. I have always had friendly assistance should I need it and the only complaint I might have is some of their options are a bit pricey but there are others that are of decent price.

Neat store with goods that you won’t see in common grocery stores such as ground ostrich or ground yak as well as canned Japanese tea. Like other organic stores, the price range there is a little higher.

By far one of the best and highest variety vitamin/supplement sections that I’ve ever seen at any store. I crossed referenced prices on a few vitamins on Amazon and prices compared which is a really good look.I don’t really shop there grocery as it’s pretty premium priced, but can usually find a unique sauce or snack sometimes.The overall store is very clean and well stocked and the vitamin. Section is a 11/10. Just gives a better vibe than Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. Can’t speak on grocery much tho cause of the prices but my 5 stars are for the vitamin aisles

This supermarket has become my go to place in a short amount of time! Organic everything, very friendly and knowledgeable staff (Olivia was very cool on the checkout the other night!). If you care about how your food is made, then this is the place for you. They also have a great healthstore section, which is nice not having to have things posted in tons of packaging. Being vegan, I've found this to be a great place for lots of choices, which is rare for most supermarkets. Check it out!

This is by far one of the best grocery places in the city. If you like organic food in eating healthy this is a must go to place with only a few other places that offer this type of food. Super friendly staff and very knowledgeable also.

I love their dark chocolate selection, and the dried mangos!! Actually, their chocolate and dried fruits/vegies/herbs selections are really large. It's a great smaller organic grocery store worth going to. I love the staff. The store is usually very clean and organized. What more can I say?

I really enjoy going here and it.is.the staff that makes the experience . Otherwise it is a store filled with product

Great selection especially if you have food allergies or a restrictive diet! Lots of corn-based products (including their produce bags) but with signs that state it in case the shopper has an allergy like me! Always expensive as with any specialty store but cheaper than other places in town for lots of leas specialty items. I DO wish they had more cashiers and signage for the restrooms, though.

Great store for healthy things. Pry a little cheaper than Whole Foods. Bring reusable bags. Lots of stuff for people who need alternative diet stuff. I go here often.

I love this place! In the whole body supplement area, the people are very knowledgeable. The store is clean, the workers friendly and very helpful. Their prices are competitive for most things. I buy my eggs their for quality and price. They have a membership which gives you better discounts on some items. Thank you!

Great place for health food and natural products. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The products are clearly labeled and on the shelf in such a way that even if you have never been there you can find what you might be after. The nice thing about this store is that you can use a box or bring your own bags.

I LOVE this store. It's unlike any other organic food store I've been too. It's very big with tons of options. Usually with organic stores you have to sacrifice a lot of your favorite things, but at Natural Grocers there's no sacrificing at all. The employees are always very nice and you can tell they are proud of the store they work at.

I love that they don't force their shoppers to wear masks and let us choose for ourselves whether we want to wear one or not. Lots of great products & very reasonable prices. Love their all organic produce section. Friendly cashiers & staff!
