We love this place! My sister from CO and I make it a goal every time she is in town to go here! The fresh ice cream with the dipping sauces and chocolate is unmatched. We've even tried other places in IL and this one is so much more creamy. Highly recommend! I always get almond bar with white chocolate and raspberry sauce. My sister gets the fruity pebbles bar with the white chocolate and oreo crust!

Love their paletas!! I tried so far the strawberry cheesecake, berries, fruity pebbles, abuelita, strawberry, chocolate and pistacho and they're all very rich in flavor. My husband has tried their shakes and he loves mixing chocolate abuelita and chocolate together. I've tried it and it is very thick and chocolatey. Will need to go back to try other flavors for sure. This place is definitely worth trying at least once but guarantee you'll be hooked.

So tasty!!! Highly recommend! We don’t have anything like this near where I live. So glad we went here while I was in from out of town. I got the Oreo with dark chocolate topping and it was so creamy and good! I tried a bite of the lime too and it was so refreshing! Would definitely go here again.

Went today and the kids had the fruity pebble paleta dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles and I had the Cookie Monster paleta burrito dipped in cookie butter and almonds. Seriously to die for! The place was so cute and clean inside, wonderful, friendly customer service and an incredible selection! Each flavor was labeled with notes such as dairy free, etc. We can’t wait to go back and try more flavors!

Have been here many times and always enjoyed our Paletas.They are a mix of ice cream and a popsicle.So many flavors and combos, you will not get bored with them.Place is always exceptionally clean and bright.My favorite are when they have special ones (Marzapan has been my favorite flavor so far).I have also enjoyed the Lime one from the water based.5 star - Need to go! Would go out of way to come.

Monarca tends to always have a line, but that is a clear sign that this is a place worth waiting in line for. My husband and I recently went here for the first time and were instantly impressed by the way the staff was handling safety measures and how friendly they were to the customers. When it was our turn to order, we had a general idea of what to expect, but were asked if we had been there before... we had not, so they gave us a brief history of the business and the best ways to order, and also gave some recommendations for flavor combinations based on what we were leaning toward. In spite of how busy they were, the staff took time to give each customer personal attention. That is commendable, memorable, and left us both feeling that it would be a place we would frequent again. And the paletas? C'mon, now... you can tell from the other reviews how wonderful they are. We weren't feeling dairy so much on our visit, so we opted for a more fruit sorbet style bar with a sort of spicy sauce on top, which ended up being perfect for a blazing hot day. All in all, it is a place to visit again and again. And I almost forgot to mention the artwork on the walls... just incredible.

Stopped by at random while in town for work. This was a very satisfying bite. Staff was wonderful - young girl at the front did a nice job explaining options. I got the coconut paleta dipped in dark chocolate topped with almonds, and it hit the spot. I wish there was a shop like this where I live because I would definitely be back to try every flavor. They have a pumpkin spice paleta for all y'all pumpkin spice fanatics.

Unique and fun experience! Beautiful atmosphere owned by a local family. This is a must try if you love ice cream and are looking for a cool experience. I will definitely be back! Way too many combinations and options not to return again and again!

Given my taste for sweets and after seeing it show up in my searches for gelato several times, I decided I had to try it while in the area.I had just eaten, so decided to keep it light and simple and went with the Greek Yogurt with Berries (see picture)...splurging a little to have it dipped in chocolate (see picture).I've decided that paletas are definitely a delicious dessert and want to return to try some other flavors and add-ons. First time having a paleta & it did not disappoint. The Monarca is unique and a great change from normal ice cream establishments. The staff were very friendly and kindly walked through how everything worked. The hardest part was deciding what flavor to get!!Highly recommended for a sweet treat not only due to the fresh ingredients used but the beautiful decor inside and so many flavor combinations available.

The location has a variety of paletas to choose from and are in an organized manner in the case. There are a number of dips, toppings, and drizzles to put on them. The dulce de leche was creamy and flavorful. The mango was fruity and fresh tasting. The staff were friendly and attentive. Can't wait to return!

Loved the Paletas we tried. There are many flavors to choose from, fruity and creamy both. Then you get to choose your dipping sauce, and then sprinklers and then an additional glaze of a different sauce.The service is nice and the ambiance cool.

This was our after dinner treat. We have heard a lot of great things about this place and I can say they are all true. There was a lot of people when we arrived and they got us right in and through in no time. I got the Oreo pop and it started just like milk and cookies. They have milk and water based treats. Milk based pops are more ice cream in texture and the water based are more of an icy texture. I got the dio and drizzle, I would highly recommend doing that for the full experience.

This is a unique ice cream experience, we appreciate that this establishment offers both milk based paletas and water based paletas. Would definitely recommend checking out this store this summer. We love this ice cream place. It’s just so different from others. My daughter and I had been before but this time we brought dad and friends. Everyone loved everything they got. I got my regular (I really need to try something different).Here’s what we got.......Strawberry CheesecakeDipped in dark chocolate (it’s not too bitter) so if you don’t care for dark chocolate just give it a try.Topped with graham cracker crumbsOreo dipped in milk chocolate with hazelnut and topped with graham cracker crumbs and drizzled with chocolate.Fruity Pebble just plain.....yes the toddler got this one!Reese’s dipped in dark chocolate and topped with graham cracker crumbs.Reese’s dipped in nut butter and topped with graham cracker crumbs and drizzled with caramel.

This place is dangerously delightful.The gal that helped us was amazing. Cheerful, informative, quick and professional. Everything made in house and truly divine.I don't have the energy to describe everything I got on my vanilla paleta but it was phenomenal. Nephew had strawberry cheesecake with oreo crumbles. Yum.Ordered 2 smoothies to go. One watermelon, one mango/lime. Didn't like them as much, because I believe they have something besides sugar. 😂We will be back!

I've had these twice at the Valley Junction Farmers Market, and they're so good!!! The variety at the farmers market is limited because compared to the store so I definitely recommend checking out all they have to offer at the shop! I enjoy getting the cereal paleta and having them dip it in white chocolate with crispy rice! 😋

Our paletas artist was absolutely amazing. She walked us through every step and explained the case of paletas and how they are separated by milk, water or yogurt based. After choosing the paleta she advised that we can dip it in white or dark chocolate, hazelnut, cookie butter or Nutella. Once it's dipped you have a variety of toppings to choose from as well as a drizzle on top!I decided on the Reese Paleta dipped in hazelnut, topped with coconut and drizzled in caramel. It was delicious!The paleta is not as sweet as your typical ice cream treat but was still amazing.I can't wait to come back soon and try a new combination. I bet the water based paletas would be a great treat on a hot summer day!Mango paleta, dipped in white chocolate and topped with coconut drizzled in strawberry... now my mouth is watering!Can't wait to be back!

This place is super cool. Ice cream popsicles, dipped & topped with lots of great additions. There were 5 of us and we all got different things. Here are my thoughts on each flavor:- Dulce de Leche: MY FAVORITE. Highly recommend dipping it in cookie butter. It was so good.- Dark Chocolate Peppermint: my 2nd favorite. Love dark chocolate and peppermint together.- Reese’s: easy to predict, but still very good. There is an entire PB cup inside.- Chocolate Abuelita: a spicy Mexican chocolate. Interesting, different, not horrible. A good choice for the more adventurous.- Coconut: if you like coconut, get it. Otherwise, don’t.UPDATE: tried two more today and GOT PICTURES.- Oreo dipped in cookie butter w/Oreo crumbs & sweetened condensed milk drizzle- Dulce de Leche in white chocolate with Oreo crumbs & sweetened condensed milk drizzle

From the service, paletas, and the atmosphere everything was amazing! Definitely became regulars within the 1st bite. The combinations are endless and everything is in house made, local and the business is family owned. You can dip and top with whatever you choose!I ordered:Pistachio dipped in white chocolate with milk chocolate drizzle topped with pistachios.Greek yogurt mixed berry mix dipped in white chocolate topped with pistachios.Fruit and yogurt with granola dipped in dark chocolate topped with graham crackers.Strawberry dipped in white chocolate topped with fruity pebbles.Seriously all of them were so good! I had a bite of each🤣
