Smaller local grocery store that is well organized. Let's you get in and out quickly. A great meat counter with a wide selection to choose from. Staff is always welcoming and helpful. There are self checkouts as well as 3 or 4 manned registers. If you need a cart then someone will push tne cart out to your car and help you get the groceries into your car. The store is always clean and the aisles are wide enough to get a cart through going each direction

I want to express my gratitude for the outstanding service I received from Grant in the Meat Department. His knowledge of the products and commitment to customer satisfaction truly stood out. Grant's friendly and helpful approach made my overall experience enjoyable. I highly commend Grant and appreciate the excellent service he provided. The actual store was clean and fine, but one of the checkout employees was behaving disgustingly! She was sweet to me (note: Im white) but she was giving the WORST attitude right off the bat to a man next to me, who was black (also note: he looked MUCH older than me). She was harassing him over showing an ID (which I understand having an ID for alcohol is required, however she didn't even ID me and I JUST turned 21, just asked my bday) and lied to the man that she had to ID everyone (again a lie because she DID NOT ID me as a young 21 year old just minutes before this encounter). And then she kept getting really loud and started saying stuff like "sir its not bc youre black" "i do this with everyone" (which isnt true), etc. And let me be clear the requesting of an ID wasn't even the problem here, hell he even had one and showed her, but it was the way she treated the man and spoke VERY loudly to try to embarrass him. Making a huge scene over something small. She was rude and very sarcastic when she said nice things to him when he left. And I understand we're in conservative Iowa, and unfortunately, racisism is everywhere, but come on, yall gotta do better. I regret not stepping in for that man when she was harassing him but I struggle with confrontation but still am ashamed I didnt help. But writing this is something. Also this occurred yesterday, Nov 18th 2023 around 3pm or so. I truly hope that worker is absolutely ashamed for harassing and disrespecting that man on the job. And if I remember correctly the worker was a woman with about shoulder-length dark hair with lighter (almost white/grey i think) color highlights. Finally, if Fareway Grocery chooses employees like that to represent their store then I will never be returning. And I will advise everyone I know to not go either. Not until this issue has been addressed. Thank you.

There's not a lot drawing me to this store. Their meat isn't priced too differently than competitors. Some items like eggs are actually more expensive than higher quality elsewhere.It is a little weird seeing highschool aged kids carrying groceries out for able bodied adults. Especially in the winter. Might seem charming, but comes off as creepy.

The meat department could use an update, really the whole store could. For an older store they maintain it well. shelves are always full. The employees are always smiling and willing to help. Last store that they walk your cart out for you.

The renovated store looks very nice. I gave a 4 rating since their prices seem extra high. Aldi's is where I'll do most of my shopping going forward. Nice store, but more expensive than it used to be.

Decent prices... yeah. Great meat... of course. These are all fine and good, but the one thing that keeps me coming back is the service. This is how grocery shopping should be!Friendly workers in the aisles (that you can actually find when you need help), friendly meat counter always ready to help, checkout staff with a personality that are helpful, and friendly carryout help.I had a bag of shredded cheese that had opened. The cashier immediately sent the sacker to go get a replacement. After bagging my groceries, Edward helped me out to my car and we had a pleasant conversation.Fareway, you're doing it right! If cutting back on service is good for the bottom line, I don't know how this place is making money!I feel better after leaving this store!

Fareway is our go-to grocery store. Their meat case is great for fresh meat. Produce is fresh. They have good sales and good prices. They are a little smaller store so you don't have to walk a mile to shop, but they still have a good selection. They may not have the latest new products, but they usually get them later. Service is great and they take your groceries to the car with you! They are not open on Sundays or most other holidays.
