One would believe that all Walmart's are created equal and that statement couldn't be so far from the truth! I'm sure demographics have a lot to do with what each store stocks but I must say my little ol' Boone Walmart outshines those mega Walmart's of Ames, Des Moines & Altoona. When I can't find something that should be stocked there, I can usually always find it at the Boone Walmart!!!

We had the pleasure of having Lily help us today at self checkout. She was the sweetest person not only to me but to my son. She kept him occupied while I was checking out. She definitely went beyond any other employee there. Thank you so much Lily for making mine and my son's experience one to remember! ❤️

Smaller store. Friendly staff. Great for quick trips. It's always short staffed, though. Usually only one full service checkout lane is open, the one selling smokes.

Clean and welcoming. Staff actually seemed to enjoy being there and were very friendly and helpful. (This was notnour home Walmart as we were on a camping trip). It was such a nice shopping experience.

Employee Vickie J. is the best checker Walmart has. She greets everyone with a smile and is friendly with everyone. She even makes sure you have all your shopping bags. She definitely deserves 5 stars!

Truckers...we were out of drive time. This Walmart allows 24 hour parking in the back at the garden center. Because that area isn't busy in winter, they let us knock out a 34 and we got our shopping done and rented a couple redox movies. Very nice of them.

It was okay until it was time to check out...only 1 person waiting on customers. I don't believe in doing my own charges, it should be the company's job all the time.

On Wednesday Nov 22 I purchased a 55’ tv for 188.00 online to be picked up however Walmart chose to cancel my order when I went in tonight to talk to them they 1st told me that they could not match the price because for Black Friday they only have so many on sale and they do not have any in stock I said I purchased it on Wednesday the 22nd and you all canceled it. They then told me they canceled the order because they were sold out at that time but how do you sell out before the sale starts.. I would like to encourage people not to shop at the Boone Walmart.. they are crooks

I just wanted to comment on April that was in the back. I know that she doesn't work the floor, but came out and helped me with the items that I needed. It was a very pleasant experience. Thank you very much for the opportunity to let me inform you about her. It was the store in Boone, IA. Great job.I just wanted to thank Andrew to this post. He went above and beyond to help me tonight. Thank you for him.

The csr i ask help from refuse to do a price check. And the had an attitude about it. She always had an attitude whenever I come in I'll always treat her respectfully. This is becoming an ongoing thing. The manager never does anything to do anything about her people she's impervious to anything any customer has to say. There are only a handful of employees there that keep a smile on their face and always are happy to help a customer out and that's far and few in between

I mean, it's Walmart so it's pretty much what you expect. Just somehow worse. The little things - merchandise on the floor instead of shelves, labels facing the wrong way, and the rotating cast of characters watching the doors putting way too much effort in to matching up two items purchased with the two items listed on the receipt they demand to see.It's worth the drive to Ames, even for one or two items, just to be less annoyed.

Generally I love this store but...they need some serious work on signage and what they actually have in stock. The associate I started with tried to be helpful. But then 2 more showed up and just stood watching us. They didn't help. To be honest I felt ganged up on. I paid 40. More for one that was a lesser vacuum than the one I wanted which was a better vacuum but the same price.

Nice smaller Walmart store. They usually have everything I need, and their pharmacy staff is the best. I would have given them 5 stars except that they are almost entirely self-checkout. I don't work for Walmart so I don't think I should do their job for them

I think if we are checking ourselves out and bagging our own purchases then the prices should be a bit cheaper. Self checkout wasn't a thing so that you could cut your already short amount of employees down by half. Customer interaction is a plus and being able to get help without walking a marathon is always a plus as well

Whoever was the door checker on Jan 25th around 3pm needs to be talked to. She was an older lady. I walked in with my reusable grocery bag and for 5 solid seconds she was only staring at my bag and I had to say hi loudly to be slightly acknowledged and then received a dirty look in return. You think if you got paid $15+ hourly and your only job is a greeter and bag check you’d be able to do it.

5 stars for allowing trucks to park while shopping. Read reviews that they don't bother trucks who park overnight as well. Truck drivers, please keep Walmarts clean! They have trash cans everywhere for your trash! USE THEM!!!

Shelves never stopped everything in the middle of isles still on pallets I asked if I could grab something off the pallett they said they had to get a manager to get off 20 minutes later poor service

This location embodies the typical Walmart location. There is always a LOT of customers in the store, and not nearly enough help. I found what I was looking for. They do carry a very wide variety of items, which is nice. However, as I headed to the front of the store to checkout, there was only ONE cashier available. They are relying very heavily on the self-checkout lanes. As I waited and waited in the self-checkout line, I saw three employees basically just standing around in the checkout area. Oh well, I guess that's the trade-off for the marginally lower prices.

Boone walmart.....I had a experience at self check out..long story on.malfunction..... Cashier Mary T. Is absolutely the best customer service person I have seen in years... if there is an award to be Givin.....I would nominate her.... I am not related or have any contact out side of my experience with her today... Thank you for your kindness and professionalism

I shop here a lot and the employees are always friendly. They are also helpful when you can find someone to help. Although I have not really had a major issue with finding help. I enjoy going through Steves line. He is just awesome, very friendly and a great sense of humor!! Steve is a keeper Wal-Mart!

…I always want to like a Walmart store but still haven’t found one that is decent. The aisles were full and barely able to move around. The lack of cashiers and working self checkouts made it a very lengthy wait.
