They didn't have a 16 x 20 tarp.. So I bought 2 8 x 10's lol ..guess I need 4 all together. I should have paid attention in math.. Lol.. She said she would give me my receipt to bring them back, so that was good.

I go to this store a lot. It works for what I buy. I don't have any real complaint about the store or what can be bought there. It's basically a downtown convenience store that sells things for 50% of what hyvee next store sells.Why 2 stars? The employees. This store has the rudest, most sullen, and entitled clerks of any store in this town. Except for the one male employee, most of the remaining clerks are hostile, rude, glaring around, sulking over their existence or something.Went in today. As I was walking in, an employee ran out of one of the aisles and seeing me ran faster to cut in front of me.The amount of her entitlement and self importance clearly overwhelmed any impulse she had to behave with common courtesy.Another time, I was trying to get something off a shelf, and a sullen black dyed hair employee, cut between me and they shelf and began to restock it. She couldn't wait a minute for me to finish and move on? She is a frequent checker, and stars angrily around, refuses to say anything AT ALL and just carries a massive attitude around.Is this enough to stop me from buying at dollar general?Not completely. It you have the time, though, you should probably just drive out to walmart, save some money, and skip dealing with the rude store employees at dollar gen. If you are ok with rude people, probably you can find a few at walmart AND still save money.

I love the prices, great way to save money. Most of the staff is super friendly too, which is great. My one complaint is giant stock carts seem to be in the way a lot making it hard to get to certain iteams. Perhaps its a staffing issue of not enough people to run the store and put stock away. I know the cashiers are always working hard to try and do both but I know that's not always possible. Still love the deals, the clothing is cheaper than other places but still good quality too.

My friend & I were greeted in a friendly manner by the cashier upon entering the store. The store shelves were well stocked, & fairly neatly organized. The friend I was with had a walker, & entrance to the store had a curb to step up on & she would have benefitted from a short ramp entrance, & automatic doors.

The cashier was friendly and talkative with our young kids. The store was clean but fairly crowded/cluttered. Our kids found some great secret Santa gifts though and they had a lot of options for them. Good place for those types of things.

The staff is friendly. However the isles are very narrow. This store is not the large version of Dollar General, but they do have a pretty large grocery section. Not a lot of options for clothes and foot ware like I have seen in other Dollar General stores. Plenty of parking!

They only have 1 check-out lane and at times the line moves slowly. They are under staffed and are trying to handle stocking product & checking customers. The store had a large variety and very reasonable prices.

Use to love this store but because if the way upper level treats their employees don't have much time for businesses like that and seriously doubt that the man who originated this store would approve either.

Phone inquiries are usually answered more readily than instore so I can't always find the right aisles for what I need...Plenty of bargains and I notice new stock coming in constantly...so if you shop here often and know where to find it..great prices to shop for...

I also worked here and hit rock bottom but I’m up again a great place to work and shop the only problem was not even enough hours at all to make a living but it do pay every week I love everyone who work there they are great!!!

WAY OVER-STOCKED AND UNDER-STAFFED! IT IS ALWAYS FULL OF TOO MUCH MERCHANDISE WHICH IS CHAOTIC TO SHOP. I'VE ONLY SEEN 2 EMPLOYEES, BUT, THEY WERE HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. I DON'T GO THERE MUCH AS IT'S NOT WHERE I LIVE.
