This is a great place to find good prices on groceries. Go back often because the selection changes often. This is a very clean & well maintained store.

A very well stocked store. I really enjoy quiet browsing time and their prices are very reasonable.

Very friendly service, GREAT prices and a wide variety. Since they're a discount grocer, they get random things. Often they are priced to move, but you'll see somethings are priced, what would appear to be, standard grocery store prices. But just be diligent when visiting and watch out front and near the registers for the REALLY good deals. There is also a refrigerated section through two black doors, DON'T miss this section. There's lots of good stuff in the cold room. They only take cash or check, so be prepared!

We used to stock up on cheese, meats, and other items. Lately, the prices are catching up with Hy vee and Fareway on many items. Unfortunately, they will find their shoppers, many of whom travel over an hour, are only looking forgood prices and will no make the long road trip without substantial savings.

We love going here! Always a great day trip to the middle of nowhere lol! They consistently have affordable options that stock the market pantry with fun new finds. Building is always clean & staff is always shy & friendly. One of my favorite places in Iowa.

This place is a good place to shop especially if you're on a budget. Good meat selections good grocery products they have $3 box clearances, paper products that are more reasonably priced than any Box store or grocery store in Ottumwa. We bought a four roll paper towels for a dollar, 12 rolls of Angel soft for $3 and many Frozen items that are worth your trip. I would recommend the store.

The selection is huge and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I bought rhubarb and a bushel of apples. The variety of apples I bought I didn't initially see and one of the employees went and actually found them for me in the back. Ten out of ten will go back again!

This is a drive of 2 hours from my home in Cedar Rapids, but well worth it. Great specials as well as a very nice selection of general merchandise.

If you don't mind somr food beyond the best buy date it is paradise. Got 10 cups of easy mac for little more than a 4 pack at Walmart. The cheese was great as was the bacon. Can't wait to shop again.

We love Hwy 2!! We end up going every few weeks just to see what new things they have. Don't get hooked on something because it likely won't be there next time you go, it just depends what is available. The gals that work in there are very nice too. Just a reminder if you go, cash & checks are all they take for payment. You can get some really good deals in there, just make sure to check expiration dates. Enjoy! We sure do!

Fun place to shop and they have unique grocery offerings. Cash or check only, but as for "reducing carbon footprints" I would say this Amish business is way ahead of the game. The building is clean, newer and modern and it takes a while to realize that barely any electricity is used for anything but the cash registers.

The store carries goods damaged during transport and a variety of local grocery. The items may or may not have any noticeable cosmetic defect and are sold at a discount. It also a seller of the Big Green Egg grill. They only accept cash and check so best plan accordingly.

Very clean and helpful staff. Alot of great items and good food at the right price. Some prices are a bit high, but they are worth it. The iles are wide enough for two carts and the items on the shelves are all priced. If your looking to buy food in the bulk, this is the place to go and get bargains. When you leave this store you will have a smile on your face.I'll be back and bring other people with me too.

Ultra friendly, but personally rather than store where one can typically do grocery shopping, I just picked up odds and ends. Also, don't forget that they only take cash or check!

I actually drove to this area to shop at the Dutch store down the road. Disappointed, I started driving home when I saw this store. Oh my goodness! I have never seen prices this low! There were bags of chips as low as ten cents. There was very cheap candy and if you dont mind it being smashed, you can purchase a big bag for less than a dollar. They have cheap marinades and all sorts of affordable cereal. There are regular priced items too. Also, you will need to check the expiration dates. I got a big bag of Dove soaps for about a dollar. All that was wrong was the wrappers ripped open.

I had read about a discount store near Ottumwa off the Hwy. It took me awhile to find the name but I was glad to find out more info and to be able to shop there. I went on a Saturday and it was busy. I will come during the day next time. If you are coming from the Des Moines area research into different ways to get there. My ride down I took the interstate and went thru Ottumwa, there were a lot of potholes and skinny streets. My ride home was not the same but the roads were good. It seems like there might be regulars who go there. From other patrons we had some looks according to an adult and teen daughter. I didn't notice. I just assumed we do not look like we live in the area or they were surprised by our large family. The staff was mainly friendly and cheerful. I appreciated the written on sale products when I walked in the door, bargain boxes and free items set outside. It seemed clean, which is a plus. My favorite section was the refrigerated and freezer section. I was a bit hesitant to stock up as some items were very far past best buy date. The yogurt (I bought several dozen) was around 2 months past best buy date. I had never had dairy products much past best buy. All was fine except 1 brand which was super low calorie. My favorite shelf stable item was huge bags of cheese crackers. We have gone to discount and closeout stores for years. I would say most items are worth a try past the best buy or expiration date. Proteins drinks, powders, bars and shelf stable milks and alternatives we have not had good experience with. Pastas, oatmeal are always a safe choice. Some grain based items like crackers, chips, cereal and sweets can taste a bit stale, off or have a different texture. Not always, it is hit or miss. Most items we have tried 3-6 months are fine. 9 months or older CAN be bad. It is hard to know. We try to stick to foods we use to make meals with and are typically fine with closeout foods. If you have kids it might be best to go during the day during the week to avoid crowd.

They have amazing deals. There are some things that are priced higher than retail stores, but you get that everywhere. The associates were polite to everyone. Worth the drive.

Word to the wise: there are four types of "sections" to this store. 1)The "scratch and dent" which is where you will find deals. 2) The marked up Aldi stuff that's one whole isle and mixed into the scratch and dent stuff. 3) The Costco and Sam's Club stuff. This can be a deal if you don't have those memberships and don't want to travel. 4) The typical Amish bulk items.

The store sells expired food. Now, some things are ok, but when I get spider webs in my sunflower seeds, that's a bit much. Also, they go to aldi, mark it up a bit and put it on the shelf. Some things are actually worth the price.. But I was not overly impressed... I guess just be observant to what you are going to buy there.
