Very nice hotel. Clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Really liked that they are frozen pizza available to purchase and had a pizza oven to use. We travel with a small dog and she was able to stay there for a small fee. Really appreciated that. Also had a nice selection of cold and hot things for breakfast with delicious coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel for 13 nights, enjoyed my stay, the staff was excellent, & very friendly. I will say if you have a lot of luggage, see if you are able to get a 1st floor room as they do not have an elevator. Also during the week contractors are in town & usually stay at this location due to how nice this place is so beware that these are hard working folks & may be a little loud at night after working all day but none of it bothered me at all. The town is small with limited places to eat, but the hotel is starting to serve some food, but there is a nice Subway across the street & Slicks Bar & Grill just north of the hotel on the right, highly recommend their food. There is no real grocery store in the area. the closet Walmart is 30 minutes north in Ottumwa.Rooms: Rooms were nice & clean. House keeping staff was excellent.

Got our rooms for two nights. Went to a funeral came back lady said oh no you had room one night. Due to her canceling our room without being told the card was as flagged. What a mess. Lady was very pushy for us to leave. Your room already clean. Okay don’t you clean them everyday. You canceled our room in return made her card flagged for fraud. We would of paid for room if you wasn’t rude and very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone with the rude front desk. You cancel our room for the 2nd night and that why our cards worked to our room. Cause it was for two nights thank you have a nice day.

Kelly Patel was an amazing host. Quiet stay with all the accommodations you need. I loved how the fridge was bigger than most hotels. Had extra towels and wash cloths ready when we needed them and was even available when we checked in late at 1:30am. Management if you read this please double whatever you are paying her. For being the only front desk person all day Sat, Sun, and Monday it appeared there were three of her even though it was clearly just her. I don’t know how she does it but she is a super efficient and the kindest front desk worker I have ever seen. -A. Grizzle

So I spend a great deal of my time on the road and staying at motels. For the most part the place is fine, however it is not $120 a night fine. You are paying a 3* price for a 2* motel. It has all the basic amenities of a decent 2* but it is lacking in the 3* amenities entirely. You can do better just down the road for 2/3 the cost.

Rolled in to Bloomfield just before 130 am after being on the road since 9 am. Just wanted a room to sleep for a few hours. Door was locked and nobody at the front desk so I picked up the phone that calls the front desk and I could hear the phone ringing at the front desk. FINALLY a lady answers and I asked if I could be let in to rent a room. All of a sudden the phone sounded like she was under water, so I hung up and called back. FINALLY she answered again but hung up right away. So I tried again and she did it again. So I called from my cell phone, the phone just rang and rang. I hung up and called again and someone answered and hung up.Ended up not being able to rent a room because she just kept hanging up. Not what I wanted to deal with after being on the road for 16 hours. I even called earlier to check if they had rooms… the parking lot was half empty…Luckily the Southfork motel a few hundred yards up the road had better customer service, the rooms were nice and the beds were super comfy! And they were cheaper. I know where I will be staying next time I come to Bloomfield!

This was a clean nice place to stay. Both the evening and morning staff were very nice. The breakfast was very good. Waffles, eggs, fried potatoes, sausage, all kinds of breads, cereals and fruit. Parking was great and I am sure we will be back. The towels were wonderful not the kind you normally get at some of there motels.

Lighting was not very good anywhere in the hotel. The breakfast was very poor the best parts were the coffee, muffins and the thing that was kind of like a poptart. The room was comfortable except the bathrooms didn’t have a anti humidity fan so after the shower the room was very wet.

Room was spotless and quiet. Great room darkening curtains! Temperature was easily maintained. Bed was firm and plenty of pillows! Had a nice soak in a jacuzzi tub. And awoke refreshed to a nice cozy breakfast with conversation with other travelers.

King sized bed was extra comfortable. Clean room! Even the carpet was clean! The bathroom spotless. The upstairs guests were a little loud, but all in all, excellent stat! We will be back again. This may be our new home away from home when we come to see the grandbabies.

We stayed here from Friday, May 15, 2020 to Monday, May 18th. The bed is always 80% of the hotel rating for me. So the bed was, fairly good, meaning on the softer side. I prefer soft beds, and as such, I slept fairly well! The room was very clean and modern. Because of, the covid-19, they only had a "grab and go" breakfast [muffin, yogurt, etc]. We really enjoyed our stay with this hotel. The staff was very nice! Thank you for a good stay!

Pleasant front desk, clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. No ventilation in bathroom and pretty clear neighbor noises. The breakfast area looked good but we were looking for a sitter down experience which we found easily close by. While not a "destination" location, this served quite well as a stopover.

I loved my stay at the Cobblestone in Bloomfield! It's a nice quality hotel in rural Iowa on par with some I've used in some cities (also better than some). I stayed for my wedding and was reuniting with some family so we took over their front lobby seating space several times. Staff didn't mind, in fact the lady vacuuming was talking with my infant nephew. The morning of my wedding they were very sweet and gave me a complimentary bottle of wine. I would stay here again without hesitation.

My daughter and her boyfriend stayed here because no more rooms were available at the hotel her dad and I were at. One of their employees came into their room prior to check out and refused to leave. She was so upset that they grabbed all their stuff and left. After paying extra for a room with a Jacuzzi, I'm beside myself that this person had the gall to just let themselves in in the first place. So unprofessional!!!
