When my husband found this place because he works for Stans Trucking, he called and told me about it.Then I finally got to be with him and see it for myself.He was right.It's immaculate. We had a great meal, ice cream and took a nice hot shower.You could eat off the floor.Thank you so much for building a place such as this especially for the truck drivers.

Great little option to pick up necessities (food, snacks, alcohol, cigars - even has a humidor - breakfast, toiletries) directly across from the Blue Grass Inn. There is a restaurant right next door that we didn’t try but seemed quite happening on a Friday night.$27 dollars for a pint of ice cream and case of high noon seems quite pricey…which looking at the reviews seems to be a theme.

(Easter Sunday 2024)I dont ever leave reviews, good or bad. But, I drive a truck over the road, and I have been to every nook of this country. I have NEVER been to any other truck stop as clean and friendly as this one. Impeccably clean! I didn't know truck stops like this one, even existed, till today. FREE HOT showers with strong pressure AND FREE laundry? ABSOLUTELY UNHEARD OF! Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open, but good, hot food from the kitchen/deli, that didn't cost me my first born. Truck and trailer shop, truck wash, good fuel, and great friendly Iowa people! Can't say I'm disappointed that I am spending my 34 hour restart here.

Super friendly people here, excellent clean showers with very good water pressure, the food is fantastic 😍, this is the best truck stop in the middle of nowhere I've ever been to.Tim Covington/Hirschbach approved.If you have a pickup at Smithfield's foods this is the place you want to be to shutdown at.

A family owned truck stop with excellent fuel pricing. Bathrooms and showers are spotlessly clean. Showers are free and so is laundry. Huge food selection, both healthy and comfort food. Beer and wine available. Liquors as well. Large selection of cigars. Awesome truckers lounge and paved free parked. From exit 60 on I-80 it’s 16miles north on the west side of the road. Motel here too. Plenty of parking for oversized loads. Super friendly staff. This is one of the best truck stops in the US and that is not an exaggeration. Truck wash and washout on site. Truck repair on site. A truly awesome place.

Waspys truck stop for a small town is great. The station itself has very friendly staff, great selection of food. The car wash is top notch. Has amazing cleaning power with awesome scents leaving your vehicle shining and smelling good, 10/10 highly recommended!

One of North America's top 20 greatest truck stops... when it's open.Unfortunately, they close at 2300 & restaurant is only 1700-2100 wed-sat. Easily one of the greatest t/s restaurants ever. Full bar too.Huge c-store. Great staff. Can't ask for anything more, as a trucker. I've been out here going on 17 years now and this is one of the nicest stops. Free showers, no fuel needed. Attached hotel, restaurant and shop; anything else you'd need in the convenience store. Nice work, need some of these on the intestate.

I drive over the road and this place is one of the best I've seen they are very clean . The workers are very nice the pizza was awesome and the showers were free and the washer and dryers were free to use . I will always use this place to do my business. They are a good business to use and aren't money hungry. I give them a 10 out of 10

This was an absolutely beautiful Truck/Gas Station . Clean with so many choices. Sandwiches and amazing looking desserts. We bought 3 extremely nice tshirts for $45 total.They also had a drivers lounge truck and car wash, showers, laundry, service center and Restaurant. Good luck!! We will defiantly stop in again when in the area. Maybe stay at the beautiful motel.

This is by far my FAVORITE truck stop! They have a shop, truck wash, and hotel as well! My husband and I are truckers and there simply isn’t a lot of truck stop options. This one has complimentary showers, clean bathrooms, great selection of food and drink on the station side and in the restaurant! The food in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous! My husband said, “Now that’s the BEST steak I have EVER had!” A wonderful change from horrible truck stop food. Thank you to the “Waspy” family for providing such a rare treat to my husband and I! We appreciate you so much!

Great customer service. All the staff was very friendly. Showers were great. Very clean and they are free.. parking lot is super big and very clean as well. Have to say one of the best truckstop I have stayed at by fare.

Holy cow a CLEAN truckstop. Remember the old days when truckstops cared about the conditions and the drivers? Well this is it. Spotless bathrooms that don't stink constantly, clean showers (free!), and the food is good. When I visited the restaurant was closed but the grill was open and it tasted like food, not burnt grease. Well stocked c store, the basics for big truck needs, but the shelves were stocked with more than only one example. Fully paved lot too.They have a washout also which is constantly visited by stock trailers so they must be doing something right.And for the furry co drivers there is a dog park next to the truck entrance.And the employees were genuinely friendly, not "corporate told" friendly.The only drawback is the limited hours if you're a late night driver.

We stopped on our way up to Lake City and had breakfast. By far the best roadside breakfast we've had. The biscuits and gravy were perfect, and the portions were huge. Also got to meet the owners who were wandering around making sure everything was perfect. This place is everything a truck stop should be.

The best truck stop I've been to since I started driving customer service was excellent. The food was great and for a good price. The restrooms immaculate parking is great overall an awesome place to stop. Just to think, if it wasn't for the bad weather, I would have never stopped here. Good thing I did.

Very clean truck stop.Very nice restaurant great food.Truck parking spaces are wide so you don't feel like you have to cram between trucks.The thing that just blew me away was the free showers, you don't get that back home in NC.If you are in the area got to check this place out!!!

Prompt friendly service. Food was good/fair for the price. Sandwiches come bare with absolutely NO condiments unless specifically requested. Have to ask for lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles, etc, or will receive meat/bun completely bare. When requested the condiments are very good and a generous portion. Liked the chicken sandwich more than the hamburger but want to try the tenderloin next visit.

This is about Twin Palms Grilling - we ordered the smoked turkey breasts for Easter. It was EXCELLENT! I highly recommend it and I will order again.

I happened to drive by Waspys about a month ago, and I have been back 3 times since. This place is like coming across an oasis in the desert, I can't believe it exists in such a rural area. The restaurant is great, and the hot and ready food is good too. So many wonderful amenities. From now on whenever I am trucking along in this part of the state I will make sure to stop.

Stopped here by pure coincidence last year delivering to a local farmer. WOW what a place. Headed out on Monday and am PLANNING a 10-hour here just because the box-store truck-stops in Des Moines are horrible and crowded (again....typical). The folks that built, own, and work at Waspy's are FANTASTIC. My understanding is family members work there too. WAY TO GO. Food was awesome and the whole place was CLEAN. Yeah, even us truck-drivers (SOME of us anyway) appreciate a clean place to stop for the night. For what it's worth....so QUIET and peaceful for sleeping; no noise, except maybe a few moos and oinks. Not a problem for this country boy. ABSOLUTELY worth the 20 minutes off I-80 to get there.

I am so impressed with this truck stop its absolutely worth writing a review the entire staff here is sooooo nice!! I stopped for the night and did laundry and took a shower FREE 😀 the shower rooms are clean and huge very beautiful the washer and dryer free just bring your own soap and the amazing drivers lounge has big comfy recliner chairs like at home😊 the restaurant serves great food and they also have a order to go fast food in front along with store !! They have a big parking lot to hold lots of trucks this place is amazingly CLEAN and absolutely beautiful inside

Totally unbelievable, I have been driving a truck for over 37 years, and have never experienced anything like this place. If all truck stops were even close to as nice as this place everyone would want to be a truckdrivers. I was and still blown away by this place. Food, staff, owners and facilities are overboard. It's only 14-15 miles north of I80 on U.S. 71 in Audubon, Ia. well worth the detour up to it. I will be back.

About all its good for is parking. Restaurant never seems to be open.9:15 a.m. and not a single warm breakfast option available. I know help is hard to find but this is ridiculous.
