There are 8 Tesla Super Chargers at this Kwik Star. They are new as of December 2023. These chargers will not only charge Tesla's. They will charge other EV's with DC Fast CCS charge ports too. It is just a short walk from the chargers to the store. The area is well lit and there are security cameras. There are hotels within walking distance if you want to get some rest.

Best convenience store in Ames. It's a little out of the way on the edge of town (right across from Theisen's), but if you're anywhere near there, this is the place to go. They have propane, car wash, vacuums, diesel center (with truck parking) and lots of car parking. This place is really clean and well lit at night. Inside is awesome. They've got everything: food, snacks, beverages, prepared food, supplies; it's like a grocery store. It's fun to go inside to see what they have and how they're set up compared to other convenience stores. Check it out!

There was a small mix-up with my phone in order. The gentleman who took care of the situation was extremely professional and very generous in handling it. I love their chicken so much that I picked their fried chicken as my birthday meal. 😂 Thanks for the professionalism kwik star you guys are top notch in my book!

When it was brand new A++. In the following months, quickly going downhill. Food and product stock is continuously iffy. Might have it this week, have it become a habit/ ritual as a reason to stop at Kwik Star. Then Just not have it for weeks. Hot food selection is flat out mediocre. It's the whole point of coming is your food. And yet feels like the kitchen staff selects three items, and overstocks just that. I've been continuously stopping to pick up wedges or waffle fries for the last 2 weeks after work. Never have then stocked and ready. When I finally broke and asked what is going on?? I was told they're focusing on chicken. Okay? Crazy idea, have multiple things out. Back to Casey's it is.

First place to stop by in the morning, impressive selection of teas/coffees/sandwiches/donuts etc. And 5 stars for "Cody," went out of his way to find something for us.

Anytime you can change prices at the pump to cause financial burdens on individuals/consumers because you are coerced, payed or confederate in "gangstalking", "intimidation" or otherwise you are the reason why...08/23/23 passed here around 0930 to make delivery down the road and diesel#2 price was marked @$3.979 gal. After delivering came back to Kwik Star and the price went up to $4.099 gal by 1330. Sheesh talk about price gouging. Tried to report it with Iowa Attorney General and website kept denying me from submitting either for invalid emails or stuck at loading screen. The ridiculous thing about the Kum N Go across the street stayed at its same price of $3.979 the whole time

They have a good selection of grab and prepared foods. Excellent fried chicken. Good prices even on the gas. Usually about $ .20to $.30 /gallon less than most other gas stations. Nice selection of meat that can be grilled. Have fresh fruits, some veggies . Breads and buns. A nice selections of liquid refreshments and beverages. Very clean inside and out.

So I've had a mixed experience here. First time I came here, I was driving from airport at midnight and just wanted to eat something. Got burgers and they were warm and nice. Since then, I've never been here but have had fried chicken at a lot of other Kwik stars and have come to really like it. On a Saturday I decided to go to this one and get some fried chicken here. Worse decision ever. It was old and overly salty and oily. It has clearly been sitting there for a loooong time. My first bad experience at a Kwik star

This gas station had everything, including deisel for my tractor.Fresh foods, desserts, veggies, and a variety of frozen foods to grab and go.They will also cook/prepare an entire pizza upon request regardless of the time of day.Staff was also very friendly.

Great Kwik Star. Always clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful. I always get my milk and bananas here because their price and selection is better than the grocery store. I love their bacon and other items as well. Kwik Star is head and shoulders above any Casey's or Kum & Go. I'm glad they're building new stores. Keep shining Kwik Star!

I enjoy going to quick star. The other name to the store. But to watch your gas price in less than a week go up 90 cents was sad. But they do have awesome sandwiches. And always have a deal on something. Today I got to double cheese burger with bacon I didn't put anything on it and for the price I should have bought two because there was really good. The meat makes McDonald's hamburgers like the old Wendy's commercial where's the beef. They're double cheeseburger is awesome. And as always the staff are always friendly.

As a truck driver I appreciate clean & stocked fuel islands. Ur NOT gonna find that here. Pumps are dirty & disgusting. No window cleaner in the drivers section of the island I was at. Usually there is no paper in the receipt printer either.

This is one of my favorite stores. Not only for cheaper gas, but for their smoothies, ice coffees, doughnuts, and much more. I always have to get my son the glazed doughnuts when I go there. They taste pretty similar to Krispy cream.

I love hitting Kwik Star in the morning. Their selection and prices are usually superior to other convenience stores. I'd love to give a 5-star review but this location is running low on coffee nearly 20% of the time that I stop by, which is usually the main reason that I come in.

I go to this kwik star alot and the one store on duff. But iam doing a review on store 1158 with them being so close I go there when hyvee and Walmart now not open 24 hrs well kwik star is open . I think all the employees who work at this location needs to know that they are very important and they are always very helpfull and very friendly and kind. For example I had a very bad accident and I was having a hard time remembering where I was going after I was driving and I can't remember the very kind young lady that was working the night shift or the overnight shift but I asked her if she would call me if I left my phone number in 15 to 30 mins after l left the store to see if I made it home safe without forgetting I was going home and land up somewhere I didn't know where I was she siad absolutely so when I arrived home I did almost forget to call her when I got home but did call her and told her I was safe at home and she was iam sure glad you made it home safe and I hope you get well soon. I give this young lady a 10 star because she cares about her customers and she awesome at customer service no questions about that so give her a high 5 when she working and ask her about that night I came in!! I also addicted to there cake and brownies they sell can't get enough of them yummy cakes right there at the front by the cashier but everytime I go get one there almost gone so they really need to put more out for ppl like me who come in at 2:00 in the morning hint hint!! I love this store and the workers who care about there customers!!

Great new store in Ames.... Product seems to be reasonably priced and milk is definitely cheaper than a lot of other places..... And you must try their banana bread with cream cheese frosting!!! It's amazing!! There is plenty of stuff to help you check out so you can get in and out pretty fast and everyone is eager to help and has a smile on their faces!!!

Absolutely love this new Kwik Star. Have visited multiple times in the short time since its opening. The staff has always been professional and friendly, the food options have been numerous, and the location is easy to get in and out of.

Hello! I was just in and received a whole bunch of donuts for free!! I will definitely let you know that the Mary Greeley hospital gives thanks to your contributions because I took the donuts there lol. Anyways, quik star in itself and the Ames location, is amazing. Always friendly people!!
