Not one to write negative reviews but I’ve had such a horrible experience at this store. A store sales rep called me about a promotion for home internet so I switched to a new router even though I didn’t need one because the one I currently had worked fine but I was informed that this new device would actually save me money on my monthly bill. The sales rep never canceled my other router so therefore I was charged double for 6 mths…yes it took me 6 mths to realize my bill was that high bc it was autopay and I finally noticed. They only refunded me for 2 mths and not only that, the new device doesn’t work! The most horrible experience ever!

Chris was super helpful! I’ve been a customer of US Cellular for 20 years and this was the best customer service I’ve ever had! He was able to easily answer all of my questions, he explained everything in detail, and was just overall pleasant to work with. He made upgrading my 8 line plan and upgrading my phone simple and understandable, and he made it all happen in a very reasonable amount of time! He is an extremely valuable employee! Thank you!!

Chris at the Altoona The location was truly a lifesaver! He was able to hook up a phone for me that I pad bought from somebody and wasn't able to hook up with my carrier. I assumed I'd been scammed and was out $600.. I was to the point where I assumed I needed to buy a new phone and instead he tried to hook up this phone for me and was able to get it working and also saved me money compared to the plan I was paying elsewhere. Truly grateful to him and his knowledge and honesty!

Jeff Lamb was the best specialist I have ever had help me. He blew through setting me up and made it easy! Which means he is more than likely doing more work so you better take good care of this guy! I will only be using him from now on. Funny the other guy working was so deep into his gaming he didn’t even tell us to have a nice day. We were the only ones there... Wow--what great service. Went there to check on pre-owned phones; but better yet, I got an upgraded new phone and our bill will only increase slightly. She had ideas to help bring bill down too. We had personal attention from the representative there. Skip US CELLULAR on Eighth Street and go to this location and ask for Mary.We've purchased plans and new phones from her several times now. She really knows what she's doing, and I appreciate her friendship.

Absolutely ridiculous service! My grandma went in by herself to get a phone and walks out with a new phone, tablet, service for tablet, protection for tablet, liquid protection screen and a new upgraded plan so she could get a "good deal for the tablet". I call the lady that helped her (Mary) and she is explaining things to me and I'm asking clarifying questions and she is getting an attitude. I then ask for her to not talk to me in that tone and stop with the attitude. She starts to apologize and I hang up the phone too upset to speak. My mother calls to speak with her and says we will be in soon to return everything. Mary the worker says take our time and she can fix it when we come in since they aren't that busy. We all drive to the store and wait about an hour to be seen. Time comes to around 3:57pm and they close at 4pm. The man (Chris) that was next to Mary looks to Mary and says "Do you need help with anything because I'm going to let you handle that" and motions to us. My mother stands up to go speak to him. They are going through everything and then his kid calls and he's telling them to talk fast since he's at work. The kid talks about buying a game and he said "I'll talk to you after work". He proceeds to talk to him and the kid is asking more questions about going to someone's for dinner and the worker (Chris Ergenbright) says "well what are they having". They proceed to talk some more and finally he ends the call. He fixes everything back to normal and my mom ask for both of their business cards so when something is wrong on the bill, she can call with questions. Chris responds with "oh I don't work here anymore" and my mom responds "oh you don't haha". He says "if you have any problems call Mary. This coming from the person that is supposed to be the "store manager". Absolutely unprofessional service and down right scammers.

We went to upgrade a phone and was told we couldn’t just buy one that we had to finance. Then was told we had to pay more to upgrade. The sales lady was very rude and condescending the way she talked to us so I told her that and we left. I went to the other us cellular store in Altoona and was able to buy the phone. Without financing and with great customer service. This was NOT the first time that this same sales lady was rude and I walked out. It was just the closest store but now I’ll drive across town and not even bother with this store.

I was away from home for my daughter's birthday and my phone broke! I looked online and was able to get in an hour earlier than the other store in the area. Mary helped me get a whole new phone and some other things fixed with my account in less than an hour!! In the past this has taken at least 2 hours at my local store!

Mary is a go to girl! I needed to add on a tablet when she told me about ultra amazing deal for suuuuper cheap. She went above and beyond helping me set it up to conmect with my phone and Google. I needed a protector/stand and she took care of me that way as well. I was set up and ready to go on my new tablet for business before I left. Mary provided quick and professional service which will make doing my business easier and more professional and portable for insude or outside the office.

The fear of Covid has affected service. She stayed behind a rope and gave us answers from there. It was more than six feet away. She did venture out from behind the rope and answered a few more questions we had. I've never seen service take a large bow to this virus quite so seriously. I don't blame her as I'd be scared too considering how cavalier TRUMP is acting. My husband forgot to bring his phone at home so will go back later.

I have been thrilled to discover THIS Altoona location for U.S. Cellular! I have been there several times and I have never had to wait. For years I went to the other Altoona location and it was always a game of when to go so you didn't get stuck waiting, it seemed they were always busy. THIS location every time I have gone or sent a member of my family we have walked in and been able to work with someone right away. THIS store is well staffed with friendly people who KNOW their business and offer outstanding customer service!

Moved to the area couple of years ago but continued driving to Indianola to US Cell store due to the lack of knowledge of the US Cell across from Altoona Walmart. Today decided to try this smaller store, by Altoona Hy Vee, and we're SO impressed by the young woman who helped us! Her knowledge saved us a boat load of money. This will be our new US Cell store.
