I really enjoyed our stay here. We were only going to stay here only one night but it turned into two bc of weather. The redheaded lady up front — I really should have asked her name, sorry babe! — she was very helpful and friendly. She made sure we were taken care of and I’m sure she basically runs the place. She needs a hefty raise STAT.There’s plenty of space to walk the doggos, plenty of spaces to eat, and a movie theatre right there as well.Oh and they have coffee, tea, and lots of other snacks available.

The location and staff are great! The common areas and the room itself were nice and clean. I slept well in the clean bed with great AC! My only complaint is that I am allergic to mold and the bathroom has a strong odor that won’t go away and is making my eyes and nose itchy and watery despite all my allergy meds. I slept with the bathroom door closed and that helped some, but I also had to sleep with the bedroom window open.

Bedbugs.Stayed in room 306 in August.Noticed when I got bit. Documented the situation. The hotel tried to only refund me one night because I had “already stayed one night.” Expedia helped me get a full refund.Lost a night’s sleep and a day of vacation.Disgusting. Don’t go here, or at the very least check your bed carefully.

Very nice economical extended stay hotel. We are here for a week and the overall accommodations are good. Rooms are clean with cooktop, microwave and full size refrigerator.Highly recommended for a nice and clean place to stay at a reasonable price.My only complaint is they DON'T provide anything to cook with. This dilutes the value because you have to bring or purchase your own pots/pans, cups, etc which is why I only give it 4 stars.

UPDATE: 7/2022. We have returned since the last time we were here and everything is still great. The staff and service is still amazing.DON’T WAIT TO BOOK A ROOM…..This location stays booked… We enjoyed the stay. Our room was very clean. This was our 2nd time staying here. We enjoy the ladies at the front desk. They are so sweet. They are always smiling and making conversation with us and others that were coming in or going out.We love the fact we were able to bring our fur babies with us. The staff loves dogs.If we are in the area again we will return.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and had a small cooking area. The only downside was the cooking area was right outside the bathroom door, and no cooking supplies were available except for the option to purchase. The location was convient and If I was in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Across the street from the casino and a theme park. Its right next to texas roadhouse and a movie theater. Tons of things to do. Great location. Me and my crew stayed for over a week for our work. Clean rooms and amazing staff. Special thanks to Ms. Shandra the manager, Casey and Jakobe at the front desk, Kari and Sedreona in housekeeping.

The rooms were neat and clean, and it was nice to have the kitchenette even if there were no utensils. However, the front desk staff were somewhat lacking. When we arrived, there were two people smoking within a few feet if the door and one of them was the person checking us in. Mask adherence was pretty minimal which really turned us off.

This hotel was a God send well not so much the hotel but the staff. The manager Melody is simply amazing and the housekeeper Sheryl all of the staff is just simply amazing! We came here after being thrown out of Woodspring Suites in Pleasant Hill because of our therapy cats. I can't give this hotel enough stars. Their simply awesome. I would recommend anyone stay here. Families, couples, kids, pets anyone.

We had an issue with our tub not draining and they switched us rooms no problem. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and accommodating, it was a clean nice room and the beds were comfy. I'll definitely go back here, with my food allergies it's nice to have my own kitchen when we travel instead of trying to find restaurants I can just go to the store and cook in the room

Great little place to stop if you're traveling thru the Des Moines area. Accepts dogs which was great for us. Very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed. Lots of restaurants nearby. I would have given them 5+ stars, except the awful noise the refrigerator was making! And the gentleman at the front desk knew about it but we were still put in that room. Everything else was great about the stay and we will stay again if we make it back up to that area.

Great customer service. Called to book just before arriving after leaving another hotel. Very helpful. Quickly checked in. Reception called us once we were in our room to make sure everything was good for us. Pet friendly. Location is great. Casino across the road. Beds are comfortable. Water pressure isn't the best and no ice machine - it's in the freezer but was off so by the time you turn it on you have to wait forever for ice!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Very friendly staff from the moment I walked in the door until I left. Will definitely be back if the occasion calls for a night in a hotel in the area. Very comfy beds and pillows. Next door to a nice movie theater and walking distance to a few food places.

This hotel is set up more for extended stays and that works for me.Staff very very good, room was clean and comfortable with a good bed and pillows.The full sized fridge with freezer also has an ice maker - nice bonus for me!

I was going to rate it five stars until I had to hoof all the suitcases to the car which required three different trips back up to the third floor. In today’s modern times, there is no excuse not to have several luggage carts available in a hotel for guests to use. This one had one I think and someone else was hogging it the entire time so I wasn’t able to use it. My choices were to either wait for the cart to come back (which would have taken who knows how long, or manhandle all the luggage) which is what I did. This was very unfortunate because the stay was actually pretty impressive up to that point. Clean room, surprisingly good amenities and friendly staff. Note to hotel: I’m likely not the only one who feels this way about the carts so you should probably order some more soon.

Room not very clean, mirrors had finger prints and cookie crumbs still on floor in kitchen area. Not pots/pans in room for cooking, it's an extended stay hotel. Others I've stayed have provided these items. Toilet was not clean either

Melanie and her staff went above & beyond! The hotel is perfectly located for different activities & food choices so that was nice as well. They also adhered to social distancing protocols & did all they could to aid in keeping customers safe & healthy! Melanie was pleasant, knowledgeable, & her friendly personality made it a joy while we were there.Thank you Melanie!

The hotels niche is extended stay. They have full size refrigerators (with ice makers), an over burner, large microwaves in every room. A "breakfast in bed" is an option for morning breakfast where they will bring limited pre-made breakfast items to your room. We didn't use this feature.We had the standard two queen bed room. The space was average for these types of rooms. The bathroom was a good size.The only drawbacks for us was the following. The tub did not drain quickly so it would fill up with water while taking a shower. And ice maker made dirty ice.

Very nice and clean! Have full sized fridge and kitchenette in the room. Didn't affect me but there is no cookware/ dinnerware to go with the kitchenette, but went to the front office and they had plastic silverware.

Awesome stay with a wonderful staff. They have a wonderful new building at an amazing price. If you are going to be in Altoona and need a nice clean place to stay, chooses here. Also the room had a stove, microwave, fridge, and sink. Awesome experience and would definitely use this hotel again.

I have stayed here for five weeks on and off due to out of town work. After finding two cockroaches in my first room, and now being kicked out because they over booked the hotel for high school sport I will not be back. Also the wifi is none existent. No utensils or dishwater in the rooms.
