Management doesn't care if you have a handicapped placard. They refuse to move non handicapped out of the handicapped spaces claiming that they were no longer handicapped spaces. I fell on the snow and ice blocking the handicapped ramp and was treated as though it is my fault I have a disability. Where they made us park was more than a football field away.

Tried three different pumps. None worked. One had something blocking the credit card slot on the inside, card just wouldn’t go in. One, the whole card reading apparatus was jacked, part of the cover was missing. To put a skimmer in, maybe? And the third made me swipe twice before telling me to see cashier. I drove to a competitor down the street and the same card worked just fine.I love Flying J’s, but this one is sketch af.

First time to stop for the night at this location. Pretty clean place has great & clean amenities for truckers. There’s laundry and huge tv room. Oh even their shower rooms are huge! Two thumbs up!

This place is really clean and the staff were amazing! Steve was the night clerk, he was so friendly and welcoming. Gail was working in the morning and she was so friendly and went out of her way to give my 2 boys a special treat! If we ever come back through Iowa, this is one Flying J we will definitely revisit!

The parking lot is huge! And may I add, for a lot this big, the store is immaculate. I haven’t been to many Flying J’s that are this clean. All kinds of steam table food, pizza, Cinnabon! The coffee area is clean and well stocked! The bathrooms are clean and big. Four washers(one does not work), 5 dryers.ALL of the staff are friendly, courteous, welcoming everyone entering the store. The building where the fuel island is located is shut down. To pay for fuel you go to the main building. Clean windshield fluid in the buckets, squeegees are in great condition. Paper towels in dispensers. Bathrooms are clean, private stalls,men and women. My wife and I really appreciated the hospitality here. I’m a Love’s Truck stop person, yet this is a Flying J I will definitely remain as a positive experience.

This was a nice place with reasonably clean facilities. They have a diner, arcade, large store, restrooms and other amenities that come in handy while traveling. The parking lot was spacious with a separate section for trucks. The store manager didn't seem to pleased about me taking photos though. I don't know why though, there is nothing to hide.

First of all, this poor review is not a reflection of the staff here, whom always seem friendly and eager to help. I don't like having to use a machine to check out. But most of all, spending 15.00 U.S. on two pieces of fish, a cup of soup and a coffee refill is ridiculous. I can have a sit down meal for this price. I had breakfast in Montana and Kentucky and Tennessee for $10.00. I tired of these big box truck stops relieving of us of our hard earned cash especially after the money made at the pumps. I will not be stopping here again.

Good for a fuel and DEF fill up.Lot is always crowded because it is very small and hard to enter and exit. Lacks signage for entry and exit.

We stopped here on the way through town for gas and to use the restroom. It is a well kept facility, but the bathrooms need a good cleaning. The dirt is climbing up the walls from a mop slapping the walls and then the walls not being cleaned after words.I am impressed with the little game center that is set up. It gives a place you can take a 30 minute break, relax, have some fun, and recharge a bit before going and getting behind the wheel for another 8 hours.

This establishment is awesome!! This center is vast in size- if you get lost like I did navigating, pull out your compass!! Staff is wonderful and they don't emphasize on wearing mask!! Other truck stops do and it's against our constitutional rights. Only issue I found, they don't have a variety of hot foods available. Otherwise, I highly recommend this stop. You won't be disappointed.

The showers are cold today 🤕😬 no other complaints. I only washed my hair. I’ve had showers at campgrounds that were colder but I’m still not taking a cold shower unless I really need it badly.

Its old . the parking lot is filthy smells are random as you walk. They don't clean outside much .. Maybe the weather.. There are a lot of showers sitting area upstairs driver only spot . arcade. No dennys nothing .. Gas station food....has shop walk the whole perimeter twice its 2 miles. No gym.. Looks like it was something else before. Staff seems okay. Drivers act like chieftains 👀 at each other barely talk

Overall experience was good. But something wrong with the shower water system. I set up my shower water temperature to cold but it was changing frequently sometime hot something cold . It can give you some burn marks be careful

This is a good place coming across Iowa on 80 to take a break and/or to get fueled up. There is lots of parking, but it is usually filled up. The staff here seems ok as far as I can tell. However, folks coming in and out of this place just seem very paranoid. But it could be just the way folks are in Iowa. They are a very protective bunch of folks there. Like I went up to the e register to pay for my stuff I wanted, and like rapters, there were 2 to 3 people standing around me watching. Like they came out of nowhere. Anyways, the restrooms are nice and clean.

The cinnamon roll was preboxed and once we wereon the road and I was very disappointed. The edges if the bun were hard, not sure if it was stale or bakes at too high a temperature. The center was squishy and didn't seem baked long enough. I don't think the girl working there knows what she's doing. It was a little after 11am on a Saturday.

Customer service is absolutely 100% garbage. Grabbing food from the food island or just to check out, period. Then, to add, when fueling here, there's always a pump broken or something wrong with it. The driver fueling next to me ended up pulling the hose off the pump because he forgot to hang the nosal up before driving off

The store is great, but their Shop really takes the cake. I need some help with sliding the Tandems on my Trailer, and they are making me wait a whole 3 hours before they will help me with the Tandems.

Only bad thing I have to say is 1.50 for not even an once of gravy and its considered a "side" of gravy. All because I asked for them to spread the gravy over my eggs. Photo shows the "side" of gravy put on my eggs. Kinda pathetic.

Can't tell you how the showers are but the restrooms were clean, staff was friendly and pumps were decent. Quite a few spots around 1600 when I parked up, and to the people saying it's tight here you obviously haven't been to many tight areas. Good amount of reserved spots so if you are in a pinch I'm sure you can bite the bullet and grab many of the open reservation spots (about 2200 and I see 10 open)

Absolutely the worst of the bunch. 2 hours in line and still 4 in front of me. Talk to manager and she says understaffed and drivers taking long showers. Surely it wasn't the 1 maintenance guy that stayed in breakroom for 20 minutes a pop. Then was told he went on break. 30 minutes later he is walking around with a pizza slice. Do better Pilot, you been in the business for years. Self check out didn't help either, but I'm sure keeps overhead down.

I'm an OTR driver. Place kind of has a rundown feel to it on the outside. Lot of folks come through here so bathrooms need constant attention...They weren't bad today.Has a big truck parking lot which is why I come here. This is one of the few places to park near Des Moines.I'm only 15 minutes to my delivery in Des Moines from here.The trucking entrance is not well designed and congested. The line up to the truck wash just adds more chaos. You will have to allow 5 to 10 minutes to get off the expressway ramp, then down around to the truck entrance.
