I ordered a green tea and a dirty chai. The tea was so bitter that I had to add two packets of sugar to make it drinkable. I never add sugar to my tea because I enjoy it unsweetened. My girlfriends dirty chai was so bitter that she could hardly drink it after three sweetener packets and simple syrup. Also, while putting her lid back on to the cheap cup, it broke and spilled all over the table. The staff didn’t offer to help clean or offer to make her a new drink. The wifi was so bad I couldn’t load a website to work on my homework. The only good things were the blueberry scone (which they didn’t heat up) and the decor.

Just what needed… a big, fresh salad bursting with flavors! This is such a cute spot in Terre Haute with Southern California vibes. Fresh food, clean and chic atmosphere, and modern offerings. By far the BEST salad I’ve had in Indiana. I got the sweater weather Cobb and subbed feta instead of goat cheese. It was outstanding! I’ll be back for sure.

Federal’s delicious coffee is served up by friendly staff with a convenient walk-up window that’s great for passing students! Their food offerings change daily with unique and flavorful meals being prepared by an incredible chef!! The comfortable atmosphere is great for socializing or working, with indoor and outdoor seating and modern style.

Everything about this place is way better than it has to be - I’d come for the coffee alone (always brewed strong & perfect, from Indiana roasted beans) - but the breakfast items & baked good are just next level. I visit multiple times whenever I’m in town & here I am, a week later still dreaming about this egg in the hole. The skill on display in this seemingly humble dish!! The bread had a delightful bagel-like chew, the gossamer-thin (quality!) ham was just the right amount, with an egg cooked to such perfection the yolk ate like a savory jam. Perfect sprinkle of cheese- with everything toasted exactly right AND the detail of a little parsley & pepper which if nothing else made a feast for the eyes. I could eat this virtually every day of my life & die happy. Please never let your standards slip, Federal- you are the very best of Terre Haute & I love you.

While visiting ISU for a conference, I stopped in to check out this coffee shop. It had a super chill vibe and a very relaxing atmosphere. They have a great location on the corner as well as quality coffee with an assortment of goodies. Must try when in town. Thank you for the great experience!

They advertise brunch and only have like 2-3 brunch options. The emerald latte was very good but was lukewarm when they brought it to me and I asked if they could warm it up so it was hot. I ordered the pick 3 with poached eggs, potato waffle fries and a bowl of fruit. The chef couldn’t get the poached eggs right so asked if I would like a different way, the potato fries were so crispy that I couldn’t even taste any potato.

The Breakfast Burger was one of the very best brunch entrees I've ever eaten! Pass on the Strawberry Bubble Waffle unless you're looking for simpler, muted flavors.The three berry scone was also superb, and the Golden Day Latte was really spicy with a lot of tumeric. Would absolutely go again -- but no waffle, next time. :)

Biscuits and gravy was a good choice and a different take on a classic dish. I had the pumpkin cold brew with cream during my visit. The only thing I would like to see different was being able to order coffee on the restaurant side. Going between the two restaurant sides through a narrow hallway was awkward.

The coffee here is really good-no sour or bitter after-taste for those of you who like plain black coffee. The scone was tasty but a bit dry. I’d come for the coffee again.

Really enjoyed my stop in here. Coming off of US-41 took a mere 4 minutes to reach Federal Coffee at the corner of Seventh and Wabash. I ordered a nitro cold brew which tasted great and was exactly what I needed during my trip to Chicago! The baristas were very friendly and quickly took care of the 6-7 person line.

Obsessed with this coffee shop not just for their coffee but also the food! I’m so excited to be able to eat The Butlers Pantry Food Co food at any time of the day. The food here is chef-prepared and they use local ingredients. So glad they offer Vegetarian, vegan, and GF options as it’s hard to find stuff like that in town. The owners are some of the hardest working people I know and so sweet.The walk-up window is genius, so now I can stop by when I’m walking my doggo and sit on the patio.Super pumped to have a coffee shop like this downtown!

This was my first visit here but will definitely not be my last. The staff was very nice and friendly.The coffee was wonderful and the chocolate chip cookie was seriously the best I have had anywhere. It was the perfect cookie in every way.I'm anxious to come back and try other menu items.I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could.

Been here once before. It's a cool place with a number of drinks and snacks. I tried some sort of scone that I think had rhubarb in it, and it was very tasty. I got a cappuccino that was not all that great but I think it'd be worth another try.

Asked for a scone and coffee the scone was handed to me in a bag no plate I asked for butter I was given 1 butter to go I pulled out the scone it was refrigerated cold I asked to have it warmed up the women behind the counter refused claiming it would contaminate the rest of the food but said I could buy another and she would warm it . She then told me scones are not served warm . Poor service and rules.

The coffee is amazing & they have a lot of different things you can order but it’s all really good. Whoever bought & rehabbed the building did an amazing job on the inside! It’s beautiful. You can sit inside & look out the huge windows or if it’s nice outside you can sit in the seating area they have which is really clean & has plenty of space. I love this place

Prefacing by saying the owners were lovely and I do not wish them any Ill will <3Got hired at the location. Interview went very well. First shift I was given busywork and told to put stickers on bags for the opening restaurant portion (late 2021), rather than being trained. “We’re not busy enough to train you” the manager and head barista said. I was sent home after two hours (my shift was 4) and told the manager was going to clock me out on the hour. I went home. Around 30 minutes past my end time, I got a notification telling me to clock out. I had to drive all the way back and clock out.A week and a half went by that I did not see my name on the schedule so I reached out to the manager who hired me on and I was told “I don’t see you being scheduled for at least the next three weeks”. I was recently separated (of my own will) from Starbucks coffee company, and had no income. I was told I’d be working 30-35 hours a week and was relying on this job to provide my income for rent and bills. That did not happen. I immediately left.If you get hired here, make sure you get a schedule upfront. Take it from me

This place is worth every penny. Excellent staff here. They are always so friendly. The manager, Tihomir, literally knows every customer by name who comes in regularly. I'm so glad this place is by my work, and it is easily accessible to me.
