Upon arriving at this Dollar General store, the parking lot has plenty of parking spaces. With 1 posted Handicap parking spot. The doors are not automatic. This location has plenty of refrigerated and frozen food to offer, as well as an alcohol selection. The store layout was fine, the departments led from one to another without any confusion. The store was clean. There was merchandise on the floor in multiple isles. The shelves in many departments were cluttered and needed cleaned up and organized. I had no interaction with any employees therefore I cannot comment on them. The store building is older, but in decent shape.All in all, they had what I expected to find at a Dollar General store. I was surprised at the number of items in the isles and the lack of organizing on shelving.

Every time i download the app for coupons, the app messes up. The workers won't ever take the time and help me. The one quoted to me, "he's stupid when it comes to the app!" That was his excuse not to help me. I really needed the coupons to save money. Thanks for nothin as usual!

Sometimes cluttered, but they seldom have enough people scheduled to get everything done. Company issue. Not an employee problem. Decent selection of items!

Always a great experience. Especially when that fine young man, Eli, is working. He is perfectly sarcastic, very attractive and an awesome worker. Great for customer service. This store needs more people like Eli! (;

Well, the Cashier was very cool n not TOO OVERLY friendly...very down-to-Earth & had an issue w/the customer directly in front of me at checkout but I was impressed at how she handled the situation. I believe her name was Heather? Very cool...but I must say those aisles in that store are so terribly narrow that my Claustrophobia kicks in immediately n sticks with me til the end...& having that mask on doesn't help when ur already having trouble breathing from ur anxiety...oh, my it's the Domino Affect for sure...a Series of Unfortunate Events...but hey "I'm still standing better than I've ever been", lol other than than all that it wasn't worse than going to the Dentist so THAT'S good, right? Great prices. Really helpful & friendly staff. If you go at peak times, you may have to wait in line. This place is popular and busy. I buy cleaning supplies and office supplies mostly.

One checkout lane open. Cashier had to leave the register to check on a disputed price. Stood in line for what seemed like 20 minutes before the next person in line was waited on...same scenario, different day.

Cashier constantly comments on purchases and talks and talks, often about him amd his life, usually 5-10 minutes per customer, which gets irritating on your 10th visit. This last time not only did he yak on and on for 10 minutes (about a project he did in high school?) but then he handed my daughter the toy I purchased her instead of putting it in the bag, which he SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE because of this new thing called COVID-19! Anyways, I leave and realize when I got home that he forgot to give me one of my bags because he talked my ear off. I called the next day and since he didn't put the bag aside or make a note of it they couldn't help me. So I'm out $10 worth of stuff but at least I know that some guy named Travis successfully completed his high school science project some years back. Great job.

They were REALLY REALLY busy at Petersburg branch but one of the girls working went out of her way to help me with down loading the digital coupons. Then came up front and rechecked me out when troubles occurred and the line began backing up. I appreciate all the help!

I just visited and it’s absolutely horrible. The store is dirty, they advertise wrong prices and refuse to accept that they made a mistake. They need more employees because they can’t properly take care of their store and customers. Overall terrible experience. I recommend driving five minutes up the road to the dollar store by Pike Central.10/24/17

Employees seem to be limited in product knowledge, and many items seem to be sold out on a regular basis. This is a somewhat rural location, so it's well utilized.
