In early October Dr Baldwin told me my 7 year old Golden Jack was showing some signs of arthritis. Under his recommendation I started Jack on Osteo True benefits. In October I had a chance to watch him run while in Florida. He was slow and actually started limping. The trip last week in Florida a completely different dog. He actually outran his 4 year old sister a few times. I was skeptical about the supplement but I had a chance to see first hand the difference it made. Totally sold on Osteo True Benefits. We are blessed to have Dr. Baldwin in our community to care for our animals. He is so dedicated to what he does, and so uniquely gifted with a combination of medical skill and knowledge along with intuitiveness and empathy. His staff is so kind and caring. They always help no matter what their schedule if an emergency arises. I'm thankful for Dr. Baldwin and his office! Pictured is a patient whose life he saved in 2020 at age 5, who now is enjoying the summer at age 7, all due to God working through Dr. Baldwin! God bless you!

We are new to the area. Pup developed infection. All referrals I asked for pointed to Woodland! Staff was very compassionate and welcoming! Doc very thorough and gentle. Took time needed. Prescribed med and rescheduled f/u . Thank you so much for welcoming new comers with concern and kindness. Our fur babies matter!!!!

Dr. Baldwin always makes sure to answer every question in detail. He will always recommend what is best in helping keep your pets healthy, and does not force anything you dont want; just helps educate on why such things are or are not important. He is very knowledgeable, and will not hesitate to share that knowledge with his clients. I can promise you, he is in it for our animals not just his pocket book! Thank you Dr. Baldwin for routinely taking care of my fur-babies for 2 years now, including their mishaps that have come along too! Keep up the great work, and keep doing what you love; helping out animals!

They really care about animals and are knowledgeable, but I feel like I'm being price gouged. After talking with several other people with pets and wisdom and doing my own research, I found that we were price gouged.

Terrible odors immediately upon entering building. No parts of the facility that I encountered smelled clean or looked particularly sanitary, including the examination room. I was made to feel pressured and like there was imment demise to the dog for being past due for flea/tick treatment and a fecal sample, even though I repeatedly stated that I would relay this info to the dog's owner. No one respected that I was only there for a vaccination appointment (per the dog owner) and not a bunch of other services. The veterinarian was rude (see below response) and nearly argumentative. I did not like that the vet insisted upon removing the dog to a separate room, where I could not observe the vaccines being given. If this was my dog, I would have asked for an explanation and not complied without good reason. I would *never* recommend this vet in good conscience to anybody. Full vaccines cost over $350. There are several better options in this area, please do not choose this practice.

My primary vet does not offer cold laser or acupuncture treatment. I brought my dog Humphrey to see Dr Baldwin to complement the pharmaceutical treatments he was receiving for his arthritis. I noticed improvements after the first session. We have had 5 laser and one acupuncture session in the past month. Some of the improvements: On the walk around the block he had been falling 8 to 10 times. Now, he is maybe only falling once, and able to catch himself and avoid falling. He is knuckling far less on his front and back feet. He is also walking more on his toes on his back paws; he had been resting back on his heels more. He had been having problems getting up by himself, and we had to put our hands under his bottom to lift him to a standing position. He is now normally able to do it on his own, or if he needs help, it is just a hand on his back to push off against. The treatments have reversed the past year of declines. I am very pleased with the progress to date and plan on continuing to hopefully maintain Humphrey’s quality of life.

I brought my dog in with some complications and was SO thankful for Teresa Chapman!! She was absolutely great with my dog, extremely knowledgeable and was able to diagnose and treat my dog quickly. I was treated very professionally. She took her time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions thoroughly. I will always use her moving forward and definitely recommend her to anyone who's pet is in need!

I have been extremely impressed with the staff and the care at the Woodland Vet Clinic! They have been absolutely wonderful with my cat Lucy. Dr. Baldwin does a phenomenal job of explaining what he’s doing and any findings he comes across, and the vet technicians and front desk staff are always so sweet. I highly recommend taking your pet here!

Everyone there is very friendly and they really do care about your fur children! I’ve never had anything less than a great experience with them and I know I never will.They also recently set up their own sort of pet insurance type thing where you pick whichever package you want and pay monthly, so you’re not getting slammed with a huge bill all at once when you need shots or something comes up. I’d recommend them to anyone!

Over the years, my pets and I have received only the very best of care from Dr. Baldwin and his staff. They are aware of not only my animal's needs, but my own, as well. On a recent visit, when I took a wrong exit on the expressway, the staff stayed on the phone with me to guide me while I drove, so that I found my way back to them. To me, they have always gone above and beyond and this was only one example. When I go there, I know I am surrounded by caring and efficient personnel and am reassured to know that my pets and I will be treated like family there.

We have been seeing Dr. Baldwin since he first took over Dr. Hathaway’s practice and we would never go anywhere else. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and proactive, and he has gone over and above in treating our animals, everything from a cat with a severe eye abrasion and infection who was facing losing the eye (Dr. Baldwin’s around-the-clock care saved it!) and a dog with Lyme Disease who was cured. He was so compassionate when it was time for our 14 year old companion to cross the rainbow bridge, and he has been instrumental in keeping our now 10 year old companion healthy and thriving. Can’t recommend Dr Baldwin enough!

I have all the confidence in the world in Dr Baldwin and his staff. The staff is very friendly and caring. Dr Baldwin is extremely knowledgable and wonderful with the animals. He also takes the time to explain things and answer your questions as well as explain alternatives if there are any. The prices are reasonable which helps if you are on a fixed income. I highly recommend that you give them a try. I am sure you will be very satisfied.

The staff is very courteous. Both the doctor and his assistant showed a genuine care for the animals. He treated my animals with quality care and performed the tests he needed to do to diagnose their problems. If I could leave zero stars I would. How are you going to grill and lecture someone for declining a heartworm test one time because at that time the money was not available?? Mind you hundreds of dollars are spent in office monthly!! Last time I checked the vet is not the dog owner or hell even someone that can tell us what to do! High over priced vet! Would not recommend. You will not be talking to us like we're children anymore. The lady that answers the phone is a joke!! Have a blessed life you wack job!

I can't say enough about Dr Baldwin, Mary and the Staff at Woodland Veterinary Center!! My 99 year old grandmother had an elderly dog who hadn't been to the vet in a little while. I called Woodland Veterinary Center to schedule an appointment with them for Buddy as a new patient. We weren't exactly sure what all the doctor would say as Buddy was 16 years old, so we didn't know if his issues could be corrected or if it was just his time. Dr Baldwin examined him thoroughly, did some labs and found out Buddy had a thyroid problem. So he prescribed medication for him and for awhile Buddy had renewed energy, the hair on his tail grew back and he was a happy boy!!About 6 months later Buddy began to go downhill, not being able to use his back legs, couldn't pull himself up. Grandma knew it was time for Buddy to go to the Rainbow Bridge. I called on a busy Monday and told Mary the whole story. We were hoping that Dr could come to grandma's house (he made previous house calls) but due to a conference he was leaving for right after practice hours he could not come that day. We decided that with Buddy's declining condition it would not be good to wait until Thursday when Dr Baldwin would be able to make a home visit, so with Grandma's blessing Mary scheduled an appointment for 4:30pm that same day. My daughter held Buddy on her lap, we rolled down the windows in the car and he had a nice long sniff of everything outside. Once at the vets office we were escorted into a room immediately where we were given all the time we needed to say goodbye to Buddy before Dr Baldwin came in with us and helped him cross the rainbow bridge.The empathy from Dr Baldwin, Mary and the entire staff was incredible. Buddy had only been to the office a handful of times yet they treated him as though they had been seeing him since he was a puppy! It was very comforting to us and I cannot say thank you enough to tall of hem for taking such great care of both Grandma and Buddy!!Amie OswaldMary StriggowRebekah Capiak

I have been using Animal Clinic of Michigan City since 2003. I have always had multiple dogs and cats and currently have 3 dogs and 5 cats. I have lost many of my beloved pets, some to sickness others to natural old age, and the loss is always tough, but in every case I have always had complete confidence in Dr. Scott Baldwin and his clinic crew. The Dr, strives to stay current with all best practices and always takes the time to relay the best information to me. The clinic is family to me and my big animal family and I would highly recommend him to any real animal lover.

This is an excellent clinic,very friendly,caring staff and the doctor was awesome.They seen my dog as a walk in,he had strange lump on his face,the doctor seen him and diagnosed the condition as a possible insect bite/sting,I followed the Doctors instructions and the lump diminished a day and half later.Thanks guys for looking at my dog quickly,I was relieved when I seen he was okThank you again for your help.
