I went there with my neighbor who is elderly and my neighbor was doing fine walking that day, until we got up to the door. I wished I would of gotten the time man's name that helped me with him, he went above and beyond helping me get my neighbor into his walker. He was very thoughtful and caring in a generation where you see nothing but entitlement. I got what I came in for and had to leave due to the storm that was coming in. And the young man was right back at the door when I was leaving with my neighbor. I was very impressed with the care and patience this young man showed.

ADOPT DON'T SHOP. shelters are over capacity right now and they NEED you to adopt animals. don't support this horrific puppy mill industry. not to mention that it's kitten season and shelters are overrun with kittens

The smell of pet urine and fences hits you when you first come in. Open some windows and air the place out and use something to neutralize odors. Birds all looked extremely unhealthy. They are picking their feathers off. I’m not sure how many birds are allowed in one cage but this looked like way too many to me. So many that several were picking at each other.

I have been shopping here for years. I have been happy with the staff and the cleanliness of the cages the pets are in. Yesterday not so much.I went to purchase parrot toys. I love seeing the parrots that they have. As i was admiring two young conures a tabby cat popped out on to the floor and proceeded to jump on the finch cages. Naturally the birds went nuts.I shooed the cat away and was introduced to one of the young ladies that work there. She looked at me like i was crazy for shooing the cat away.I said he's jumping on the bird cages. She informed me that it's okay he can't get to them he isn't hurting them.I was mortified.No the cat wasn't physically hurting the birds but the mental stress a predator causes for birds will kill them.Shame on you for allowing a cat to roam the store around birds. It's inhumane and cruel.I won't be back.

Uncle bills is another place that has super friendly service we usually go later in the day 3p or after. Great service everyone is quick to help out. Joesph tall black guy dreads he is an awesome employee very helpful to customers and very knowledgeable ask him anything you need to know if he don't have answer he will figure it out!!

The kitten I got was labeled a girl and staff told me the kitten was a girl. Four days later, he goes into vet, Charlotte is now a Charlie. They don’t have a proper vet if one at all, to Identify genders. I’ve already got a collar for her, until I found out it’s a him. I wanted a female because I live in apartment and when they got older, I didn’t want to worry about him spraying things or clawing things to mark his territory. On top of that, Charlie has ear mites. Uncle Bills does pay for it, but I had a feeling he did considering my white sheet kept showing lil crumb black dots. It’s even more funny, considering the other kitten in the cage with him got bought, so I told them to call me and I would buy the other one. When I did, staff was happy I came and bought “her”. Basically a lot of hype for a kitten that’s gendered wrong :/ as we all thought it was a she.

Employees are always kind courteous and have decent customer service skills. I go to purchase feeders. And they are typically always in stock with what I need. I usually see them busy cleaning out dog kennels and taking care of the animals. I hardly ever see dirty cages.

I am pleased with my 3.5gal tanks. I have different settings in each. I made a huge mistake of over priming my tanks which killed everything but the gold fish and gerami if I spelled it right. I purchased a new snail, frog, crab and 3 tetras fish. Everything looks good so far day 2 nothing died. I been having these tanks for almost 3years and this is my first mishap. I won't do that again. I loved my last from, he was funny he used to bully the fish if they got in his way lol.

The store is half abandoned and way overpriced. They sell puppy mill puppies for twice the price of well bred puppies. Their fish section is almost completely abandoned and is completely disgusting. Needs lots of help

This store has changed my life for the betterI bought my dog here german shepherd and they help with the process and they explained everything to me and told me how to take care of my dog 🐕 they even told me the food i had to buy and always supported me soThe staff amazing A+I recommend everyone to check this store out i bet you guys wont regret it

All of the employees are extremely helpful they greet you as soon as you walked in the door and make sure you have found everything that you need I do not believe I will ever go to any other pet store they are like my second family I love them all and I recommend to everyone come to Uncle Bill's Pet Center for all your pets.

Staff was friendly. But it is so sad to see how much this store has changed. I remember when I worked there in 2018 the fish room was completely stocked, the displays were arranged much nicer. It wasn’t cluttered. I do like how they changed the check out area. But it’s sad to see it go down hill. I enjoyed working there when I did, but now it’s crazy how much it has changed.

Not really blown away by this location. Fish tanks are running with no fish. They have a 4,000 gallon tank going with only a 5-6 inch crayfish in side of it. That's it. And the fish selection is poor. They have dogs for sale had empty water bottles to drink from. We had to notify the employees who had nothing but attitude about it. It's sad. My brother and I used to love visiting these stores as a kid. This location at East Washington St is just awful.Up Date: A supervisor just called and talked it out with me and they are taking this very serious. I appreciate a business that takes this as serious as the public does. My review came from 2 Star to 4 Star based on our call!

We visited Uncle Bills after lunch next door. One thing I noticed right away was the cleanliness of the store. While looking at the fish, my daughter noticed a white beta, a color we had not seen before. Immediately a helpful employee showed up to explain the uniqueness of the fish and how it was acquired. He also helped with picking out the perfect tank, filter, heater and food to keep our new pet happy. When we went to the cashier to pay for everything, she was extremely friendly and really engaged my granddaughter. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I was excited for a new pet store to visit until I saw $2,000 puppy mill puppies in the back. Insane! Don't support them!Edit after their response: I checked out your website. Good breeders don't have at least 5 breeds of dogs with puppies at the same time. That is the only breeder on your site as well. I would hope you care for them if you're selling them for $2,000.

I went and bought 6 glofish, woke up in the morning and one was dead, went and got the one fish exchanged, got home and it died by the next morning. I think they might have sick glofish mixed in with healthy glofish. Either way I'm taking my business to petsmart from now on.

Staff were friendly. My puppy enjoyed picking out her fun stuff... (she is spoiled) not to much to really look at, but the environment was clean.She love the squeak toy, but destroyed it in less than 3 days.

Everything is outrageously priced here. $30 for dog pajamas. $350 for a ferret. Dont get me wrong im not an expert on what ferrets should cost but that seems extremely high.

The wife and I went here to purchase some stuff for the fish tank. Ended up getting some new fish. Jalen assisted us and was a pleasure to work with. Overall, the store was clean, the inventory was good and the service was great! Good job Uncle Bill's!

Response to owner: Here is a copy of my review from Yelp.Employees are very nice, very helpful. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 parakeets I purchased died several days after I brought them home. Because I didn't purchase their 7 day guarantee I was told there was nothing they could do. I guess beware of low priced animals because you get what you pay for. What this tells me is that Uncle Bill has done the math and it's not worth keeping a customer to back up your merchandise.EDIT TO ADD: the third parakeet died a day later. So six days, 3 dead animals. No other parakeets in my care died. So what is wrong? Sick animals? Too young to be for sale? Whatever it was must be saving you lots of money for it to be worth screwing someone over and losing them as a customer. I feel so sorry for any animals in the care of your business.
