Wow! Best coffee of my life. After one sip my life was changed. The staff were so sweet and kind.I normally always order a vanilla latte and I was so shocked. This vanilla latte had real vanilla and hints of orange. Literally the best vanilla latte I’ve ever had in my entire life.Highly recommend checking out this phenomenal coffee shop!!Also, they have secure reliable internet which was huge for me because I’m visiting Indianapolis and didn’t have a place to work from and take meetings but this spot was great. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Indianapolis.

Nice cafe. But I'm a bit particular about my cafes and coffees. This decision and service here are nice. They have wifi as well to do some work but it's just not cozy enough for me.The coffee is a bit mid but the whole place has about if potentially. I just wish they had a more comfortable setup.

This place is very hidden and so cute! We had lived in Indiana for 7 months and didn’t know we were walking by it every day for 2 months! Their drinks were really good but sometimes it was a hit or miss. There were some days where their coffee was a little watery. They placed an orange peal on the top of my vanilla latte and used a fresh vanilla syrup. My husband and loves this place and he recommends this for a decent priced coffee shop. This place was always so busy and has a barber shop next door that is connected.

Who would think a barber and barista are even a combo? Walk into the basement, and you instantly see bare brick works better with a ‘raw’ contemporary look. A very casual set up where both drinks and coffee are served - so win win.The americano (8oz) was world class but the highlight was the orange cranberry cake. Soft, delicious, hints of cranberry tartness and overall sheer goodness. There’s a variety of teas and lattes plus some vegan muffins too. Also a full espresso bar, pour over bar, beer, wine and local offerings. The coffee bar features locally roasted beans brewed into traditional and seasonal menu options.I found street parking right in front of commissary but I got in at 8am. There is sufficient public parking right opposite to the barber and coffee shop.

An adorable, cozy coffee shop that’s hidden away down a small staircase you’d easily miss if you weren’t actively looking! We tried their two most popular lattes: the butterscotch miso hot latte and the pineapple ube iced latte. Both were absolutely delicious and beautifully handcrafted. There are options for whole or oat milk. They also have a small menu of breakfast/brunch dishes as well as a selection of pastries and baked goods to join your coffee. Parking is available out front via metered street parking that is easily accessible outside of peak business hours.

Great vibes and great drinks at the Commissary! It's not on the menu, but ask for an ube matcha latte - you will not be disappointed!!

This coffee shop has an underground type of entrance and it's right in downtown Indy. They have a great selection of coffee drinks (I had a cortado) and some pastries. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and the coffee is good. You can't go wrong here.

It’s a nice coffee shop around the corner with wonderful people. The service is really comforting. Serve nice coffee. Lavender is my personal favourite. It’s a cozy little place, perfect to buy yourself a coffee and carry on with your work. Definitely recommend this basement hide out opposite to Hotroom Yoga.

Aesthetically pleasing interior decor for the cafe, but VERY LIMITED seating and the drink was disappointing.I ordered the ube pineapple latte with oatmilk. I had a sinking feeling the minute my drink arrived and it looked completely normal. No purple in sight. In addition to that, there was zero ube flavor, and I couldn't really taste any pineapple either. Did they make it wrong? Otherwise the naming is just false advertising.I did try my friend's drink which was was something Mayan latte. It had a rich taste, which I appreciated since my drink didn't taste like anything. I'm willing to give this place another try, but the first experience was a let down.

Had the coffee & a bagel- amazing. Got the seasonal "lavender and honey" latte and y'all have it figured out! Not too "sugary" sweet, but delightfully tasty and the perfect amount of flavor. Nothing like Starbucks where sweet = sugar & too many pumps of artificial flavor. Thank you guys for caring about your craft and your atmosphere. Sad that I don't live close to here cause I would come back every day! Also, cute plants :)

The espresso is incredible here! The baristas work so hard to make sure they dial in and create the best espresso possible. The espresso is served with a little glass of sparkling water. The baristas are extremely knowledgeable, and are extremely kind. This coffee shop has the best espresso in the city!Parking: Free parking on Sundays, plenty of parking options nearby.

Yes! I am stoked to have a new coffee option in the neighborhood. It's great to be able to have a variety, and it's within walking distance of work, right off the Cultural Trail. I've been watching this place going and wondering what it would be like...and if the drip coffee I tried is any indication this spot will be around for a while. Very smooth and delicious. Plus the exposed brick and other design details are a nice touch. Steve and Dave were really personable and I wish them the best on this endeavor.I didn't need a haircut today, but I'll definitely be back for a cut next time I need some coffee.

My partner recently relocated to the city and this has quickly become a favorite of ours. I appreciate the cozy brick ambiance...the staff are always friendly and chill. I have yet to try anything here that I haven't fully enjoyed...the lattes and other coffee and tea concoctions are so creative and have always hit the mark.

The place is so cozy, beautiful and great for study. I definitely recommend for college students or anyone having a business meeting. It was the utterly pleasure to visit this place. Has a barbershop right next to it. Staff were great, and nice. When I didn’t like my butterscotch miso latte, they were kind enough to change it for me to a regular vanilla latte. This place deserve more attention.

The cafe is hidden on the lower level of the building. The place has a nice ambience and beverage options. They also have these beer+coffee options which you should try. I had the iced mocha and it was just as I like it. Would definitely recommend this sort of hidden place near Mass Ave.

A coffee spot off Mass Ave with a big city feel is the best way I can describe it. It’s in the basement, so you walk down the steps to enter. The barista’s are kind and friendly! Which makes the experience more enjoyable :)It’s also quite popular, and they have pop up’s with different businesses!

I am so excited to see a place like this in Indy! Came home to visit my family for the holidays and drove downtown to check this place out. The coffee was great, Christina gave me an awesome haircut and held a fun conversation. They take walk-ins and appointments, and the coffee shop is a great place to pass any wait times. Can’t wait to come back!

Came here to get coffee and meet a friend I haven’t seen for a long time. Coffee was great! Ambiance was chill and cute, everything was great except for the barista behind the counter, wearing glasses was a smug and rude. I normally don’t leave reviews but he ruined the mood. I finished the coffee immediately and told my friend if we can go somewhere else.
