I'm genuinely curious if this store actually wants to sell anything at all. I've never seen a 4 times markup of used media before. It's a borderline scam. I primarily collect video games and movies. When there is a store (Disc Replay) a short walk away that has significantly better prices on everything I'm looking for... why bother ever going to 2nd & Charles? It's a real shame too because there is so much wasted potential here. Tons of variety and volume of stuff to look at, but for what? I certainly ain't buying anything here. The owners should be embarrassed.

The store is run by a greedy corporation. If you sell something to the store they will give you garbage in return for an offer. I was selling something that was originally $50. Their system offered $2.50 for it. They give maybe 5% of what the product is actually worth. To then up sell it for $30 or so. The employees are poorly trained and have no information on the policy they enforce. The common theme from the employees is they have no say and are too afraid to lose their jobs. The computer system makes the decisions on how much to offer. Yet is programmed by the corporation to low ball every price to an insulting level. The employees just blindly say this is what the system offers and we can't question the system. The store also promotes Leftist ideology as well. This store is a typical corporation that is out of touch. They do not care about customers or employees. They only care about profits since it is run by yet another greedy out of touch elite. They also charge for bags as well.

This store was our absolute go to for birthdays and Christmas gifts for our pals. I'm now incredibly excited to support the new business Barnes and Noble opening up down the street when they open.Due to financial constraints we tried to sell some movies to help us out on some grocery money. A full box set of three Lord of the Rings DVDs is worth $80—100 on Amazon. Thinking about how we have never had problems with this store before and avoid worrying about shipping, we brought these and an entire bag of DVDs in to be appraised. We were offered for EVERYTHING less than $7 cash or $14 dollars in store credit.The person processing our order told my husband it'd take at least a day, so when we left them there on Saturday we didn't expect anything to be said until Sunday at the earliest, so we didn't come in on Sunday. Apparently that was a mistake because when they made the offer over the phone on Saturday and offered almost nothing for our items they didn't say we had to come in within 24 hours or close on Sunday.So despite saying no thank you on Saturday, they sold our items on Sunday without a call or alerting us if we didn't come in Sunday this would happen.So my husband goes in with his ticket to pick everything up and gets the lovely surprise of all of our items already ticketed on the shelves. The lord of the rings sets, being sold for double our ENTIRE in store credit amount offer.We learned that only Adriana Rivera, the general manager could do anything at all about this and that she leaves earlier in the day so if you come in after a 9-5p chances are you probably can't talk to anyone about your items being stolen and resold.So she gives us the "it's our word vs her employee who's never done anything like this before in his six months of employment here" , and insuates we're liars. And have no proof. So, to keep her job, she doesn't have the power to return our items, but she'll sell the three DVDs back to us for 50% off when we shouldn't pay a thing because we refused the store credit every single time it was offered but it was "applied to our driver's license anyway". So we payed two dollars for items we refused to sell to make sure no one else bought them. And that's two dollars out of our own pocket after the entire store credit was applied.So, they got a bag full of movies including 8 seasons of a Scrubs TV series with over a 50% up sell for completely free and we pay two dollars for three out of the full bag of movies we didn't want to sell for the extremely low ball price they offered to begin with.I severely hope your profits make up for the easily $150 dollars we've spent here every year alone that we no longer will be spending there on top of telling every person we know this place will rob you and then sell your items right back to you.I'd avoid this place like the plague. I sincerely hope everyone reading this knows that this place will be happy to rob you to and sell your stolen items back to you at half price to keep a cooperate greed policy. The fact that the employees and these reviews recognize this happens all the time and won't change their policy or at least inform their buyers during the phone offer of their policy, suggests this place won't be around long.

Two stars only because their book selection is amazing. Their employees are not knowledgeable at all when it comes to collectible tcg. They put stickers directly on the cards (15 dollars and under). When I complained I was told they do not damage the card which is not true, but even if it was true why would you not put stickers on every single card. BECAUSE it damages it... When I explained that I have tried to take the stickers off before and damaged a card I was told I was wrong and that they do it all the time... if you are a serious collector do not go there! The employee that told me this was Adriana. She should have just said sorry and moved on.

My oldest daughter loves books. We discovered this store one day while visiting Petco next door. When you walk in it is HUGE inside everything is so well organized from movies, books,records, CDs,posters genre ect. It isn't dirty, the re are no books laying everywhere or misplaced. We spent a good hour in the book store just taking in all the things they had available and all the books we've never seen or would think exist such as night mare before Christmas cook books or stitch cook books. Everything grabs your attention it's hard not to spend longer then half hour in there. And the staff! The staff is so wonderful we had bought 2 used kids books and didn't know there was a promotion that day a bogo deal but the cashier let us know and asked if we wanted to go pick 2 free books my daughter was so so excited. Way to go! 5 stars all around!

Huge store, tons of books used and new. Comics, games, toys, clothing, vinyl records, gifts, video games, anime, monga, snacks and drinks, spent 2 hours in here and the store had very pleasent and helpful staff!

I have to give a one due to customer service and they don’t give bags. If I pay 60 bucks for books 📚 I think I should get a bag. It’s ridiculous walking out of a store with my hands full. The customer service was so weird.

Really nice store. A lot bigger on the inside. Large selection of items in all categories; books, movies, music, etc. Large children's section. They sell vinyl. Reasonable prices. Love the free books available outside. Friendly staff. Eco-friendly store. Seating available.

So I'm only giving it three stars because of the buyback program. I went and took 11 books( A court of Thorn and Roses, Katee Robert Books, and Colleen Hoover books) and a kindle. You know what they offer was 16.95 in cash and 20 dollars in store credit. Bro when I had stand and there and stare at the cashier in stock. Those was all popular books and plus a kindle and they often me 16 dollars. The books were all new, no dents, or rips, no nothing. I was at least expecting 50- 60 dollars that is very reasonable.The customer service is good it's just the buyback program is laughable. You are better off selling your books at a different website or facebook marketplace.Edit: I scrolled down and saw that were many other experiences like mines. I knew I wasn't tripping cause that buyback program is nuts. I seen someone bring 6 boxes of books just get 4 dollars. Now that is even more crazy. I changed my review to 1 star.

My go-to bookstore when in Highland. I can always find what I need and the used book selections are huge and prices are so cheap (lower that Amazon). The staff there are so helpful with finding books for you because it can become overwhelming looking for specific books sometimes. The option to sell books back for cash or credit is available but don’t think you’re going to get a lot back for them. I sold back about 8 books one time and only got like $6 back😂. But every dollar counts! It still allowed me to purchase at least one book LOL. I wish there was a spot to sit and read for a bit, but the lack of that doesn’t weigh much on my opinion of the store. I come here about twice a month. If you sign up for texts you get alerts when sales or promos are happening. The discounts are usually on the weekends that don’t really work for me as I usually shop there on weekdays 😩.

I brought 5-6 big heavy boxes full of books to their store. They barely wanted any of them. All my hard work carrying all of those books in and out of my car and driving to their store...They gave me a whopping $4. Not worth it. Sell your books yourself online. I would have given 0 stars if I could. We actually bought a book from their store before this that was in terrible shape, so for them to turn down so many of my books that were in good shape is just not right. Nothing will make me change my mind about your store. I really don't want to ever spend a dime at your facility again.

Will never go back to this store again! They rejected all 63 vinyl records I brought in and only returned 51 back to me. If you don't want to buy them, that's fine but please give me ALL of my items back. Customer service is laughable at best! I used to tell all my friends and family what a great place this is as I have had good experiences in the past but never again!

Its a book store. I spent more than I should have. As always I wish they had more Science Fiction, some Warhammer 40K. But ill be back. The clerk that checked me out was super friendly.

One of my favorite places to go and I do come here a lot! employees are very friendly and so welcoming. Place is always so clean and organized. I love that they sell used books and I say about 95% of those used books are in great condition. You can find amazing prices that are hard to pass up. I definitely highly recommend this place to anyone! If you have not been here yet, you’re missing out😁

Really unique store. Has tons of used and new books ranging the entire gambit. Also has a huge selection of records new and used as we as musical equipment like guitars for sale. Great place to bring young and old readers alike. They also have retro gaming system. Go with some time to really look around.

The staff is really nice and thoughtful. The store stays open fairly later than most bookstores and it has a nice selection of books. The only downside is the lack of order to find books in some areas.

Very frustrating dealing with the store manager Adriana. To be honest, just working thru the trade in process has definitely not been worth my time and effort. Customer service is the worst and management needs to work on their soft skills. The way they handled my personal needs as a customer indicates to me that there are deeper internal issues. I suggest to everyone at this point in time that going to this store is not worth your time lest you become extremely aggravated. I was told many things by the store manager and employees that indicate they resort to any underhanded tactics to survive.
