Certainly not the best DT I've been to, but by far not the worst either. Anybody commenting about employees probably shouldn't be taken seriously. Any time I've been there with only one exception everybody is as pleasant as you could ask for even though they're clearly understaffed all the time, and that person was probably just having a bad day. It happens. Do try to plan your trip on "off hours" though. The comments about long lines aren't wrong. I'd waited in line nearly 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon once. I only ever pick up 2 or 3 things when I'm there, but some people have a 150 things in their cart and that complicates things when they've got a line to the back of the store on one register. But go at the right times and I'm usually out of the building 3 minutes after I walk in. Be kind to people. They already have to walk in those doors every single morning knowing it's another day of unrealistic expectations and always being told they're not good enough for that paycheck. Be grateful that you have a job that isn't thankless if you can't empathize with other people who do.

It has become the store of choice because of the high food prices therefore the lines are long and you spend quite a bit of time watching due to employee shortages. You still can find some great items!

This dollar is by far the best I’ve ever visited throughout the Chicagoland & NW Indiana area and it’s ALL because of DENISE! She is the hardest working, most thorough, fastest, detailed & very helpful in getting the best bang for your buck with a great friendly persona. Denise is the only cashier I’ve ever seen that looks at your order tell you your total even before she rings you up tax and all! I was extremely impressed! She’s Phenomenal and should be awarded for her amazing customer service skills! She is the MVP at dollar tree hands down!!!

Always good for a quick trip for holiday goodies or crafts!!! Always something good to buy for just a dollar!!! Best value for a buck!..... ** UPDATE ** EVERYTHING IS NOW A $1.25! BUT still same great finds! They have redone so much on the store an added so many new section's! The crafts dept is spectacular! Great for classroom grabs & crafts etc! Great last minute gifts an snacks! Makeup section Is getting more an more added to it and the food dept is REALLY came along way!

I frequent Dollar Tree often. I buy a lot of my stationery supplies there. Also craft supplies, and I have been a bargain hunter for several years. I often find items that I remember from my childhood, which are not available any more.

One register opened store packed 1 line . Three or four employees at 5:15p. One poor old lady at the register. Doing her best I feel sorry for her and don't understand why the manager didn't help. She did call a person to the register but should've pitched in. To me that was terrible customer service because all she did was stand and said, next customer in line step over. The store need 3 registers that day. Contact problem at this store

I have not been to this store many times, and there is a reason; the three times I have been there, the staff was not friendly at all, they where not fast either, the place was not neat, staff did not help me with a question I had. One of the employees actually was flurting with my husband one of the times, which I find no fault in that, because she didn't know I was with him, but when she saw me, she was the rudest thing to both of us. Now, that doesn't mean that they all are that way at this location. I would give it another chance, for I really like the dollar tree, good stuff, good prices.

As a rule I like Dollar Tree. This location is the dirtiest, least well organized Dollar Tree out there. Will not shop at this store any more even though it is a convenient location. I will go out of my way to used the Scherrerville store. Much cleaner and well stocked. The Griffith location is a disgrace!!

I Love this store as well as the staff! When I walk in there the products I find help calm me down during this epidemic. Mrs. Denise, Mr. Joe & the other staff are the reason why I can go in there and spend $80+. The only thing I don't like is when a customer goes into there and pick on staff especially Mrs. Denise because she is short. I do hear and see a few of the customers talk disrespectfully to staff. Before coming up to the line I can hear them talking angry because whatever happened to them before they got there. The staff and products are the reason why I go over what I want to spend compared to what I spend. Or as my Family tell me that I am a Dollar Tree Hoarder! I use everything on arts and crafts. Griffith, IN. store keep up the good work!

I love this store. Everything us actually $1.The staff is very friendly and helpful.You can get dishwasher and microwave dishes here. The dishes are colorful or just plain colors. It's great for college students who only need a bowl and plate.The sparkly nail polish here is probably the one you want to go for. The other colors need at least 3 layers before becoming obaque. I don't mind but some people do.This is a great place for snacks too.

Every time I go in this Dollar Tree, I have long waits in one line. There is always lots of customers in line and staff will only have one register open.Had an interesting run in with a nasty lady that I thought was regular staff. Turns out, it was the manager.Bad attitude from her, but otherwise, the other cashier was so nice and did her best!

Decent size, pretty good selection, Good organization and Fair house keeping.Heard an employee tell an elderly gentleman with a limp "I don't know, over there somewhere." When asked about plastic serveware. Unacceptable!! The proper answer is always " I'm not sure, but we are going to learn today!" I went and helped that man find the serveware ( party section ) complained to the manager, was assured everyone would be spoken to about the issue.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, but the store seems as if they very recently have relocated. Quite a few of the shelves are completely empty. But still a nice place due to the staff, plus they seem to genuinely like their jobs because they seem to have report with their customers who frequently visit the store.

love all of it, if you can cook, this is the place to go for your food, plus right now ,they have fresh frozen chicken breast too. excellent value.the reason the bathrooms are closed to all but employees now................. someone took a number two in one a few months ago and spread it all over the wall. plus people who are shoppers have a tendency to do ignorant things like leave rolls of toilet paper soaking in the toilet. if i was them i would have closed it too. if people could behave and clean it up they might have left it open..i used to use the bathroom in there and clean up when i was done but the few made it hard for the many and they did what they had to do.......... use the bathroom at your house before you go in there and there shouldnt be an issue.

i love that place, thats where i do lots of my grocery shopping. you cant beat the price, and they have good food, you dont have to go to stracks and spend too much.the reason their bathroom is no longer open to customers is someone took a number 2 and spread it all over the wall.and left toilet paper rolls soaking in the toilet before..if we need to go it will have to be before we go in there.and if you cant understand that then dont go.they have very good food in there if you can cook.if you dont like it then shop some other place.snobby people.

This is one of the cleaner Dollar Trees, and their employees are polite compared to the ones in Hammond and Schererville! They always greet you and have a smile!

This is one of the nicest and the largest Dollar Trees I have seen in a while. I was surprised by the amount of newer items and very happy with the amount of selection they had across the board including food and snacks. Dollar Tree in the place to be.

A lot of good values available just know the value of things before you go. Cleaning supplies are good. Portable lighting for camping and batteries. Scented candles are nice

This dollar tree is always my go to because the one 3 minutes from my house is a disaster! This one in Griffith is worth the 15 minute drive, always stocked on products and always clean, employees are always helpful and delightful.
