It's a pretty clean store most of the time. The workers are nice but when an items is out they take forever to fill it. Whoever is in charge of ordering what they need is not very good at all at their job. Miss the old mgr he was awesome

I'll give a 5 star review,on the day that Brit gets fired. Yes,they have had supply issues sometimes but who hasn't? The employees are great, except for Brit(daytime cashier) how this girl still has a job, I'll never know! I restrict my shopping to the evening hours,just to avoid her. They usually have what I'm looking for on the shelves but if they don't,the employees will usually try to find it in the back room for me. I miss the old managers but the new one seems to be doing a great job,even dealing with the revolving door of employees. Did I mention that Brit needs to be fired???

They never have full shelves. They always have the new inventory still in boxes stacked 6 feet high on the end of isles to where you cant get to it. You can see it. But cant get it. I've had to go 15 miles to another town to get cat litter and diaper several times because they cant get inventory put up. It veryyyyyyy frustrating. Its all the time. By the time they get spring time stuff out it will be summer. They dont even have seeds and Easter stuff out yet and those are kinda time sensitive things. Very irritating! This is an ongoing problem with this store. The workers are very nice, they just dont understand sense of urgency apparently. If it wasn't the only choice in my town, I would have went elsewhere a long time ago. It needs to be addressed bog time!

This is the best Dollar General I have ever been to! The location is new, and seems bigger than the store they had downtown. It is always clean and well stocked. It's true that they usually have only one register open, which can be a problem when they get very busy. However, the staff is always friendly and ready to help. They also have better prices and deals than their competition who opened a store at their old location. I would recommend this store to anyone in the area.

New. Large. Clean. But......they need to restock more frequently, as products will run empty and they take at least a week before they replenish. No point in having three registers as they never have more than one operating. They are content to allow a line of customers to wait and wrap around the inside of the store. Don't expect to be able to quickly run in & out, won't happen.

There's never anything on the shelf. I constantly have to go to Gas City to get the food for my dog. Nice employees except one that seems like its inconvenient for her to have to ring up customers. Love this store since it's in Fairmount, but having to go to the Gas City store all the time is very inconvenient.**UPDATE: Almost a year later and the shelves are always empty. There are carts full of inventory that block the aisles. Honestly, it would be more convenient for Fairmount to close this store and reopen the Family Dollar. Atleast they had things on the shelves. On the plus side.....that rude employee is super nice now🙂

Awful customer service with a younger woman on Dat shift atleast. She was yelling across the store about a manager not getting change yet. Then also jerked my basket out of my arm. Very inappropriate and my child was with me.

This one use to be great, But not anymore, they never have anything you need or want stocked on shelf's alway big piles of inventory all over the place. Just can't seem to be able to make it to the shelfs . The staff is great , they are friendly and fast. It seems like it's corporation not doing there job ... 👎Needs work!

Bare shelves resembling an 80s Soviet market rather than a midwestern American store. Stuff has gone unstocked for months. Manager on duty informed me that it was because they haven't had any resupply trucks arrive and because their stock room is too messy to organize without calling in for help. She also attributed it to being understaffed and not being capable of paying anything that would warrant anyone at all applying for the job . Clearly this store suffers from terrible management, from the top down. From empty shelves, to daily employment turn over, to the store opening late because no one is there to open the doors, to pay so pittiful that no one bothers to take them seriously. This place deserves chapter 11. Go somewhere else until that happens.Requested a call from the district manager on Friday. We'll see if that actually happens.

Great prices, even better sales and specials on all your favorite brands. And the smaller store is definitely more adept at producing shopping trips that are quicker, more efficient and less expensive than a trip to the big box storess/ warehouses. Less is more sometimes 😉!!!

Normally I like this location quick stop to get a gallon of milk! But the cranky person behind the register should be removed from cashier duty!! The 2 ppl behind us, dropped their stuff and walked out. If we didn’t need the milk 🥛 we would’ve left. Being treated badly is nota way to get repeat customers!!

there self are bare all the time, I understand that they run out but I have been there for the past 2 months and they don't have there coffee creamer on the shelf yet, We have to ask for Ice Cream because it's not stock and this is in the middle of the week. something needs to be done with this store before it goes down hill and gives Fairmount a bad name

It's a Dollar General store. This one does have cold storage for milk and eggs. Nice addition to a small town. It's also conveniently located on the North end of Fairmount on highway 26.

Went there on 2/6 @ 5:50 and my cashier was fabulous giving me a box for all the Valentine coffee cups I bought and even offered to have some help me that them out; plus she told me about filling out a tax exempt form for the facility I work for at Wesleyan Health and Rehab. KUDOS TO HER!

One key holder needs to be trained. She didn't know how to price override an item and I had to answer the same question 3 times. She was more worried about closing the store than the customers

Store was nice but the woman working was a complete b&%!* !The sunscreen I was buying had mistakenly been marked down so she hollered at the other women working about people needing to learn to read it they are going to hang tags & gave me attitude. I won't be back

The head cashier Sheri was very rude acted like it was a inconvenience to stop talking to the other cashier to ring me up. This is not the first time I have received this kind of service. I have been cursed at by a employee went as far as calling corporate they said they would check into it and give me a call back....well I never recieved that call. I don't think I will be going back to DG especially the Fairmount store.

Somewhat larger and newer version than your typical small town Dollar General. Friendly staff and decent selection of basic necessity goods. It sits nearly outside of town though, on the East side.

This store is being reported. Always a mess, isles unable to go down from boxes on carts etc..meanwhile one cashier and 2 people in office chatting up a storm. Its ridiculous! Shelves a mess and bare!! Store #17289..Fairmount,In.

If I could give this store less than one star right now I certainly would the young lady that's working right now it's very rude I simply asked if a coupon worked on one product she very rudely rolled her eyes at me and read the coupon to me like I'm illiterate I'm a college educated woman I can read All I needed was a simple yes or no Turns out it didn't work But because she would rather be rude with me then tell me I put it back Guess she messed out on not sale

Very clean place you need help they are there to help you they have lots of items to pick from and they have a little grocery mart inside I go there for my microwave Foods they are awesome for $3 you get a whole meal I will take a picture to show you they are awesome little meals
