If I could give them a negative 10 I would… I have been waiting for 45 min for chicken from the deli. I even called the store manager (Veronica) while I was in the store to get assistant Ava I’m still waiting. No updated on my order nobody is telling me anything at all. Horrible customer service

I don't like this one. All the other ones have freshers produce, meats and deli. cleaner areas spaces. Garenteed to waste money. get food, cut it open and be rotten on the inside

Prices have always been a little higher than other places, but when it's the same price to get the things from CVS it's ridiculous. The produce is never of good quality and $10 for a watermelon is crazy. I get things have gotten more expensive but they are taking advantage of the area. I've told them also that the fridge that holds the cottage cheese isn't working and it's been months never fixed. It was the first time that I didn't have to tell the bag person to separate the cold food from the hot. That was a pleasant surprise. The guys are very helpful when you ask them to help with the 5 gallon waters. It would be nice to know what time the deli opens and closes. A few times I've gone and they are closed or the person says they are about to and can't get me anything.

Clean and love the dark lighting in this store . Easy on the eyes. Always stocked. There are tons of variety in foods and meals. Very good Strack chain store location

Visited on and off for years. I don’t recommend this location at all, the deli department and hot food employees are not caring to keep it sanitary and preparing food with flies around. They don’t like being asked how long the wait is till they have more food cooked. The store is extremely outdated and dirty.

I love to visit this Strack and Van til all the staff are friendly even the security guard at the door. They have good quality food and sales often. And I love the reward program.

Went for a fish dinner and was there when seafood opened it took and hour never again and she was touching the fish with bare hands trying to see if done so I had here make another one she needs to be nicer they'll have another employee with her 😔😔😔

I found the Mexican corn in the freezer section and it's the best. Clean store and plenty of parking. One of the best stracks in the city.

I usually go into this store often and I have no issue with the store. Usually stocked up and clean. However I thought I would have saved some time and order with their curbside pick up option. My sister had told me she had a bad experience but I thought mistakes happen what are the odds it happens to me. BIG MISTAKE. I have been waiting 30min in the parking lot waiting for someone to bring me out my order. I’m about to get off and just get it. At this point I recommend you just go in and shop. You will spend the same amount of time waiting for your order to be brought out as you would if you go in the store.

Yesterday I went to the meat department and it was a great experience. Keano is awesome, friendly, Knowledgeable, and helpful with such a great personality. Omg he made me feel so good because I had question after question and was patient and answered all my questions along with suggestions. I appreciate that because people and service like that is hard to find ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The overall store is okay, the only area that I did not like was the bakery, It lacks so much, also not sanitary. The doughnuts are displayed in a case thats full of bugs and flies. I would not recommend anyone to eat out of it. Also right next to the bakery is a taco restaurant which isn't good. The food did not taste appealing also didn't smell good. The rest of the grocery store is excellent clean and well-stocked. The employees are friendly. Nice new self checkout area took a long time to come but grateful it's there. I hope the next step is letting it take cash

It has almost everything you would need from a small town grocerer, with the extremely high prices to go along with it. There is self checkout as well when paying by card only. There is a bakery located inside along with a Mexican restaurant, deli, meat area and they also do catering. If there prices were more affordable it would be a better service to our community.

I gave two stars because the employees are very nice and always helpful. However I shop here at least two maybe three times a week. Unfortunately it’s been several times that I’ve gotten home only to find out that my meat, cheese, other dairy products were spoiled.. I wanted to keep shopping here due to the Convenience of how close they are to were I live but lately this has been happening often. I will definitely be going a little further for better quality.

I wanted some grilled chicken from the deli around 1115am I seen the tray was empty, I ask the lady when is the grill chicken go be ready, she had a attitude and that she didn’t know when, then she walked away on her phone. Ignoring me.

The prices are too high 😒 Strack's is the only grocery store in EC. The convenience stores don't always have what you need. I like the new shopping carts 😃 I hope you get more and get rid of the old squeaky ones 😊

Plenty of parking, great location. They may have everything you need, but they aren't, reasonably priced with everything. They might have a good sale on produce and bakery items, but you'll need to shop elsewhere if you're on a budget for meat. Fresh and frozen meats are priced the same for some unknown reason. Dairy products are always reasonable. If I need a shelf item I'm not getting it here unless it's on sale. I can't really judge the customer service level because they never have anyone around that can help. I do like the store because of the hours and location. Not the best in the area but it's convenient.

I normally shop here after work everyday and Friday night I was happy to see that there was actually water in the aisle which is always empty or low. I can’t remember the young lady’s name but the black girl with a haircut she was extremely nice she assisted me and others and didn’t have an attitude about helping as she was busy with other things. Thanks Mija I don’t know your name but keep up the good work

Ughhh what can u say its the only spot in east chicago to buy groceries that is not a corner store or Latin food store think a bougie Fairplay or Jewel which still equals expensive if you can make it to Walmart which is 6 to 8 miles in either North or South Direction you'll definitely make your penny stretch they are hot food is placed in styrofoam containers which who are we kidding who likes mashed potatoes mac and cheese or chicken tenders that taste like plastic and then insult to injury they wrap that styrofoam container up in plastic wrap you know so you can keep that lovely styrofoam flavor fresh. How I wish they would change their packaging cuz the food is actually pretty decent the store manager and the assistant manager are reasonable and try and work things out when in doubt find the store manager or the assistant I believe it's David

This is a high quality store. From the configuration of the store, to the selection of groceries and of course the quality of produce, poultry and seafood. They have multiple locations in a decent amount of neighborhoods if you travel around and want to avoid a detour. I spend the majority of my food buffet at this store.

Ready to shop, computers were down so we had to wait about 20 minutes. But management stepped in and kept us informed and gave complimentary cards for eggs. When the glitch was fixed they welcomed us with pastries and juices. It made the shop experience a perfect prep for a great holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to the Strack family. Great job!!!

Good clean store. With a lot of variety in baked goods, hot Mexican food to go. Meats definitely rotate regularly for freshness. Most of all always help at the registers. None of this scan your own things. 👍👏
